...I'd always wanted a garden water feature but with young grandchildren a garden pond was out of the question. But a pebble pool is ideal and they still have fun with the water - and throwing the pebbles around! A local landscaper installed this for me using a kit pond with pump and the pebbles and a millstone were bought separately. It looks lovely and the fountain can be altered in height. This year I had to get someone to lower the pond liner as the slightest breeze sent the water over the edge of the liner and the resevoir is too small to retain much water. I had to keep filling it up every half hour or so! He laid some pond liner sheeting under the plastic pool so that the water would trickle back into the actual pond and covered the sheeting with extra pebbles. Now it works well and the pond doesn't run dry. I'd recommend anyone... Read review

...This op hasn't got anything to do with constructing a pond,its just a little advice on the way we kit them out.(does that make sense) Anyway with more and more gardening programmes on our screens,it seems to me that we all want the perfect water feature in our gardens and what do we need for that little finishing touch? Pebbles. We all want a cheap and easy way to get them,but how many people actually go to the garden centre.It seems that more and more people are going to the beach on a quiet evening with there buckets and spades to fill up on pebbles for free. It may seem like the perfect bargain,but there are some district councils who have coastal protection acts which forbid you to take any bits and pieces from our coasts,if you are caught in the act you can get fined up to a huge £1000. ...We have always wanted a small pond for the garden yet as our youngest child is 3 we would have to wait until he was old enough to be safe around it. The answer was to get one of the small water features, this is a small fountain pump which sits in it's own water container (like a large bucket with a lip). A plastic lid goes on top which is then weighed down by large pebbles. The water comes out through a hols in the lid and cascades down over the pebbles. The kit can be mounted either above ground on a brick base or sunk into the soil leaving it level with the grass. The kit comes with everything you need, apart from a circuit breaker though most modern houses have this built into the fuseboard. The kit was easy to install coming with full instructions and a variety of nozzles to alter the pattern of the water spray. A water... Read review

One of those jokes that make the Internet and e-mail a pleasure. *************** A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks that were about 2" in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. ...Our favourite restaurant in Brighton ! Bistro Vino has a friendly atmosphere, fabulous food and is outstanding value for money. Located in Preston Street, its a stone's throw (or should that be pebble's throw!) from the sea front, next to the main shopping street. The fayre is Italian, with fresh seafood a speciality, of course. But the special Menu of the day is a real bargain, and all the food is of the highest standard. A charming bistro - perfect after a busy day on the beach or shopping. And then, why not do as we do, and take a lesiurely stroll along the seafront to walk off a wonderful meal.... Read review

...Sorry had to write this again I somehow lost my other one sorry! I found this debate interesting; I have five cats and have loved animals since I was a kid. Because they can’t talk does not mean they shouldn’t be treated with kindness and respect I have five cats I did not plan this only wanted two, but when Pebbles got pregnant I saw it as my responsibly to look after her and the kittens. Then give them a good home, I kept three and gave the other two to a good friend of mine. Pets make a home, and do give friendship and love to their owners. When I get home from work seeing these five little furry faces looking at me helps forget work, ok I have to fight for bed space but never get cold at night! When pebbles was feeding her kittens and I looked at them with their eyes and ears closed, I thought someone has to be hard... Read review

Advantages: The software is free! Used correctly, it can help you get rid of those nasty habits that may have been difficult to eliminate with other techniques.
Disadvantages: Being free, I don't see any upgrade for this product coming into the market, any time soon.

...It is very seldom that you come across a self-development software that is so good, and is also free at the same time. The "Motivator" software is one such. Have you ever experienced the situation of having a small pebble lodging itself inside your shoes, just in front of the small toe? I used to face this awkward situation a number of times, while participating in physical education classes out there on the ground; where there was a lot of gravel that we had to march on. During the exercises, the no-nonsense, military style of our drill instructor meant that we dared not do anything other than obey his snappy commands, and any attempt to do otherwise would be met with swift retribution.
