...We were on our Annual Short break to Tavira in Portugal on the Algarve. The previous September my Brother Rob, and his by far better half Roz had been caught up in the XL Failure so had ended up with a replacement holiday in Cabanas, a small town juts an 8 Euro Taxi ride from Tavira. So on the Sunday Luch we tripped over to Cabanas, there were six on this jaunt, Rob/Roz Anne and Daughter Sheryl and Jane and I. Rob/Roz had a Restaurant in mind, Restaurante Fonte (See Bostonianbeer review on it), but alas although owners were there and remembered Rob/Roz they were not open until the evening. Never mind we had a wander, purused a few menus and settled on the RESTAURANTE O PEDRO. Poodling Pedro

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Overdrives cars

...I expected big things form De la Rosa. instead he drives into people and over people instead of around them. He did very well at A1 ring but only because nearly everyone went out on the first corner. Then the car let go. Also, Jos's car last a lot longer than Pedro's which makes me wonder if he is overdriving it. Engines that let go that often are not normally manufacturers fault. Drivers are simply overdriving them. Same as Johnny Hebert. No way can someone have such bad luck with engines. He just breaks them. Go to Indy Car racing Johnny, and take Pedro with you!!!...

Javier de Pedro signs for Blackburn.

...Graeme Souness may have bought some good people over the last few years as manager, Brad Friedel, the ill-fated Barry Ferguson and the young Jonathan Stead. But unlike all of these players, excluding Friedel, Souness has bought De Pedro for nothing. Javier De Pedro is Spanish, he was born on August 4th 1973, so he still in his prime. He is 180cms tall and plays in midfield. Souness still needs to buy a good midfielder after he sold off Dunn and Duff. De Pedro was signed on a two year deal so we have a lot of time to see how good he really is as a player. De Pedro is said to have been a proven goalscorer from freekicks and he weighs in with lots of assists as well. De Pedro has played twenty times for the Spanish national side. So, De Pedro looks like the sort of player that Blackburn need ; a left winger with a lot of expierience...

"Last night I dreamed of San Pedro"

Advantages: Amazing wildlife, Mayan temples, cheap day trips & food
Disadvantages: Run down, ghettos, high visible unemployment & homelessness

..."It all seems like yesterday not far away" or so Madonna sang anyway in 'La Isla Bonita'. For me it all seems like 3 weeks ago, and so I decided, to get busy writing up my experiences of my honeymoon in Belize. The reason for the Madonna quote, if you were wondering, is that, just off Belize is the island which inspired Madonna's song, Ambergris Caye (home of San Pedro), and it is in places truly beautiful. But more about that later. General Point on this review ************************************* Just as a warning before I do begin, the way I've done this review is to write an account day by day of our experiences in Belize. ..'' Idiot !!! '' ..... Napoleon Dynamite movie..VOTE FOR PEDRO

Advantages: Geeks ,social mis-fits will be laughing along whilst relating to the movie..
Disadvantages: Some people will not ''get'' this type of humour ..and will not relate to it whatsoever

...something is said or even just watching the way that Napoleon runs. The humour is pretty dry really .. Watch out for best friend 'Pedro' and also for Napoleon's 'love' interest .... lets just say he could do with some tips when it comes to chatting up the ladies! Oh and Kips internet lover ...so funny! I'm not going to go into the story line as to be honest the story line isn't what made the film for me -its the humor that makes the film-if i'm honest I wasn't really following to see what the story line was properly the first time I saw the film so if like me you never get the film the first time round it dosn't matter as you will just find the film funny anyway.That said-This film has a straight forward story line very easy to follow. Since watching the film on pay per view, I've purchased the dvd and have watched the film many times...

...One word you would not use to describe pedro diniz is superstar.Words you would use are tough,gritty,determind and strong. The brazilian has now been in F1 for a number of seasons and knows what to do in those situations where lesser drivers would panic.He may not be driving the best or most reliable car in the world,but his determination and work rate often makes up for times when the car lets him down.In a more competitve car,I could yet see the word 'superstar'added alongside pedros name.Until,he moves from sauber,however,nothing great will be acheived from him,picking up just a few points a season....

The next big thing?

...The top teams need to be looking over their shoulders as Arrows mount a serious challenge in the form of Pedro De La Rosa. The car has the speed and handling necessary to get amongst the points on a regular basis if they can just iron out the mechanical gliches. The Austrian GP was evidence of this, as Pedro was able to keep the Ferrari of Barrichello at bay until the engine gave up. The commentators had to eat their words as they confidently predicted than Pedro must be on a a two stop strategy and therefore a lighter fuel load to keep up that pace (at one stage setting the fastest lap of the race) but no, he was on the same strategy as the 'big boys'! Qualifying is another area which they need to look at, as in order to get among the points regularly they need to be qualifying at least in the top ten, not the low teens where...

Who's a lucky boy then?

Disadvantages: will he ever get the car to use it

...Pedro De La Rosa flirted with death at Monza today, not that the smash was necessarily his fault but when you see an F1 car flying through the air as his did, first thoughts are inevitably bad. Since the death of Senna a few years back, Formula 1 held its breath, and has been slowly exhaling, and todays smash will have then reaching for the oxygen again. I haven't yet seen the news on the marshall who was hit, but when a guy is being given emergency resusitation/heart massage at the edge of the track , it can't be good. De La Rosa is a driver full of potential , and with a better car under him, would be closing on the better drivers in the championship. While he may never be a Schumacher or Hakkinnen, he would, I feel, keep company with the likes of Fisichella, Button and Irvine. Lets hope he scrape today will focus him to...
