...I visited Pension Stankovic, Dubrovnik in the spring of 2009. We spent tree days in Dubrovnik an It is not easy to find the house We arrived in Dubrovnik in the evening. We were tired and it was dark. The navigation system showed us a road which was forbidden for the car. I get out of the car, took the navigation system in my hands and started to follow the commands. I was really surprised when I saw that to reach the address I had to climb at least 100 steps. I didn't have any choice and I climbed the steps. After climbing all the steps, I understood that this was not the right street. I went down and I tried the next street with the same number of steps... :-) After the third try I found the street which was at least 200 steps far of the car. A Miami Miami; I'm a pensioner now

Advantages: Cheap, clean, central location, cheap supermarket nearby
Disadvantages: No breakfast, no windows, not wheelchair friendly, questionable neighbourhood

...~~~ Overview & Appearance ~~~ I have just returned from another of my legendary "shoe-string" budget tours during which I stayed at the Pension Miami hotel with Mrs Ben. We stayed two nights at said establishment for the princely sum of £68.29 via HotelClub.com. Admittedly the hotel was booked before finding out certain details which may have led me to choose another establishment such as the lack of breakfast and the "ladies of the night" who alledgedly ply their trade in the immediate vicinity (we did not see any of this however). The Hotel itself is located on an alley which none of the locals had heard of and it took us a little while to find the address. Make sure you print out a map before you leave home! The alley and the outside of the hotel are not hugely inviting as the alley precludes sunlight and the surrounding buildings...

...When I worked as a self-employed contractor, I always had a Personal Pension Plan (PPP). It has now been transferred into the new Stakeholder Pension plan since 6th April 2001. Stakeholder Pension (SHP) is a much better product with less restrictions and more flexibility. Stakeholder Pension should not be mistaken as a state pension run by the state. The Government has laid down the framework for Stakeholder Pensions but the scheme is actually run by banks and insurance companies. Stakeholder Pensions are voluntary private pensions in addition to state pensions. Our farmer was small, bald, and had funny little round red glasses on, just incase you?re in the area and you pop in for a look and see Grandpa Joe and not Grandpa Ghandi. Our experience of the Warriors left us with a ?glad we saw it but don?t need to see it again? kind of emotion. We really enjoyed the whole day, but not long after looking at one Terracotta Warrior, it starts to get just a little bit samey, and we did see 1999 of them in the car before we even entered the site. This isn?t to detract from the historical importance of the 2000 year old Warriors, nor does it mean that you shouldn?t go if the opportunity presents itself. Just make sure you wear a blindfold on the way...

...An alternative title for this opinion could be "everything you need to know about stakeholder pensions but were too bored to ask". I bet the very mention of the word "pension" has got most you either running scared or nodding off to sleep! Part of the reason why the p-word strikes so much fear into our hearts is that they seem so complicated, confusing and full of jargon, so what I am going to try and do is write a "dummy's guide" to stakeholders, putting what I know into plain English - including how to get your hands on some of the Inland Revenue's money!
