Pentax produces pretty perfect pictures!

Advantages: Great build quality, easy to use and good picture quality.
Disadvantages: No image stabalisation and no wide angle capability in the lens.

Pentax Optio M20

Advantages: Good range of features.
Disadvantages: None that I have discovered yet.

...I bought this camera about 6months ago at a discounted price. I find it has a lot of features and the quality of the pictures very acceptable. I particularly like the good sized screen which makes reviewing the pics easy and practical. Comparing this with my last digital camera which was a Konica Revio KD-400z I find the Optio M20 a big step up in terms of functionality. I also like the ability to resize a picture after the shot which means you can effectively increase the zoom capbility. I have used this to snap a ship on the horizon at full zoom and then using the trimming function retake which brought the ship into much closer view. However at this point clarity was compromised as expected. Altogether a very acceptable camera for my needs....

Pentax Optio M20 Quality on a Budget

Advantages: Excellent outdoor picture quality, value for money, ease of use.
Disadvantages: Indoor picture quality, no carry case.

...The Pentax Optio M20 was given to me as a present on christmas 2006. While i am not a passionate photographer, i do enjoy taking pictures and wanted a camera to take pictures of university nights out as well as my travels around the world. The camara is packed full of features for taking photos such as portrait mode, sports photo mode, pet photo mode, food photo mode plus many many more. It also has an excellent blur reduction facility which is very good for me as i have quite unsteady hands. The maximum picture quality setting for the camera is 7 megapixels but this can be lowered to allow for more photographs to be stored on the memory card at the expense of quality, although not a huge quality sacrafice. However i have used it on the 7 megapixel setting and have had ample room for all the photographs i ever need to store...

In the last 5 years I became interested in digital photography owning a Canon A200 and Konica Minolta Dimage Z3. We've also got 5 other digital compacts in the household including new Samsung and Fuji 6MP models. The KM Z3 is a great camera with a 12 times optical zoom and anti shake sensor but I was a little disappointed with noise in the dark areas of some pictures. This could be kept to a reasonable level if ISO was fixed at 50 but this limits flexibility when the sun isn't shining. I'd thought about buying a digital SLR for some time but couldn't really justify the expense over what seemed to be minor benefits. Epsio 115M - small but perfectly formed

Advantages: Lightweight, good range of features, easy to use, decent zoom, literally pocket sized, good quality photos

...I recently purchased the Pentax 115M from unbeatable.co.uk - I was looking for a decent compact 35mm zoom camera and, not knowing that much about cameras, I looked for a site that carried recommendations. Unbeatable carried this info in the form of Which Camera Best Buy icons, so I knew it wouldn't be a complete dud buy... The price was very good too, being about £60 cheaper than high street prices at £148. The camera is small and lightweight, perhaps a little too small for large hands, as you have to be careful not to cover the flash with your finger as you use it. ...Pentax 67 I?ve owned a 67 for around 8 years, after deciding I liked the tonal quality of medium format negs. I had a look at a number of alternatives: 645, 6x6 and 6x7: I chose the Pentax because it had a sound specification, a good range of lenses, and required neither three hands, nor gorilla-sized ones. The fact that essentially the same camera had been in production for over 20 years (and it continues now, with the 67 II) means that there are plenty of second-hand accessories around. I looked at used bodies - a lot of them are rather tatty, as they seem to be popular with professionals, who don?t give them an easy life. So I bought new, and economised with second-hand lenses and a non-metering pentaprism. I?ve never regretted any of my choices.
