...Brief description of the Pentax Optio MX: The Pentax Optio MX is a great, unique looking camera, if a little clunky. It is great for both amateurs and the more experienced alike. The camera itself is not in the usual 'box' style of most other digital cameras, it has a sleek silver body, with an arm on the right, which rotates 180 degrees. This is where the lithium-ion battery is stored. The 'take picture' button, is encased in zoom button, with the record button a little lower down, all neatly sitting on the shoulder of the handle. The LCD monitor display is on the cameras back, and can be flipped up 210 degrees and swivels 180 degrees, which is great for protecting it from damage. Review of Pentax Optio MX

  Pentax produces pretty perfect pictures!

Advantages: Great build quality, easy to use and good picture quality.
Disadvantages: No image stabalisation and no wide angle capability in the lens.

My Pentax Optio 33WR Digital camera

Advantages: Small, Robust
Disadvantages: Batteries run out quick! A case that fits!

...About 3.3 megapixels I think, dosen't take a bad small picture. I find this camera difficult to hold still at times but it does have a timer function so you can take some lovely pictures with it with yourself in the shot to! With it's small square shape it is easy to place anywhere to get a good timed shot. I have had much difficulty finding a case that fits it's unusual square shape and now it lives in a leather bag. It only takes 2 AA batteries but I find these run out really quickly so I now use rechargeable and always carry spare. It is rubber sealed and I have taken mine to the beach and it still seems ok. The screen is a nice size and you can zoom in on pictures you have just taken. It has different modes for different conditions like evening (not much light) portraits (people) one if your taking pictures...

Pentax Optio S10

Advantages: Large display screen, easy to use

...I was given the Pentax Optio S10 as a birthday present 2 months ago to replace my film camera and quite honestly I was convinced I would hate it and thought it was far too small and would be fiddly and not take photos as good as my SLR. Well I have to say I've been made to eat my words, Firstly the quality of the pictures is totally amazing, very crisp and clear, even when printed at A4 size they don't lose any clarity. The display screen is much larger than on many small digital cameras and makes it easy to use. The controls are very easy to use, when you click onto the mode screen there is a clear symbol for each type of operation and when you click on it, it gives a brief description of what it does which saves from having to consult the manual all the time. The battery life is a real plus as I'd heard that many digital cameras...

Pentax Optio 33LF Digital Camera - Cheap But Great

Advantages: Swivel Screen, Fuctions, Picture Quality, Camera Price
Disadvantages: Advertising On Camera

...First of all this camera is cheap for a digital camera never mind the quality and fucntions you get for your money. I bought it from Amazon for £100. It looks pretty good except it does have quite alot of advertising on it for example, it says Pentax Optio twice in quite big lettering but to be honest I don't notice it at all as it is sort of engraved but the camera in general does look cool. I often use the swivel screen and think it is great. For starters you can have the screen facing inwards when not in use so nothing can scratch the screen. I also use it for taking pictures above people's heads in which I can still see what picture I am taking. I used this alot at the Motorshow I recently visited. The picture quality is great. I have pictures on the computer and get some printed off at a shop and both are really clear...

Review of Pentax Optio 230

Pentax Optio M20

Advantages: Good range of features.
Disadvantages: None that I have discovered yet.

...I bought this camera about 6months ago at a discounted price. I find it has a lot of features and the quality of the pictures very acceptable. I particularly like the good sized screen which makes reviewing the pics easy and practical. Comparing this with my last digital camera which was a Konica Revio KD-400z I find the Optio M20 a big step up in terms of functionality. I also like the ability to resize a picture after the shot which means you can effectively increase the zoom capbility. I have used this to snap a ship on the horizon at full zoom and then using the trimming function retake which brought the ship into much closer view. However at this point clarity was compromised as expected. Altogether a very acceptable camera for my needs....

I take my pocket camera kayaking, snorkeling and river running!

Advantages: Waterproof, pocket-sized and decent pictures
Disadvantages: Clearly not as good as a digital SLR and some features are rather gimicky

.... We had previously looked into whether there was a camera available that was designed for travel, something that offered a bit of bump protection and, maybe even a splashproof facility. Unless we wanted to spend an additional £100 (at the time) on a waterproof case for a standard camera (which would make the whole as bulky as our existing Kodak) it seemed that there was a hole in the market. That was until we discovered the Pentax Optio WP. It was new on the market at the time and there was little written about it. As it was no more expensive than most of the other compacts from the major photography houses we decided to make the leap. We've no regrets. I LOVE MT PENTAX. PICTURES ADDED 16/06/04

...I do a lot of pub crawling and clubbing and i like to take photos of my nights out with my friends so i need to find a new camera that was small and light so it didnt pull my pants down when in my pocket. So my search began. I hit the camera counter at my place of work and started annoying our sales chaps. At one point i had 17 small digital cameras sitting in front me having a play around with them all. What was even better was the fact i could have a look at my test photos as the gents on the counter setup a Photo printer with in-built card reader for me so i could print them out. Out of those 17 i dwindled my choices down to 3 Pentax OptioS Canon Ixus 500 Sony T1 They all looked very inpressive. Nice and small and the picture quality form them all was good. Pentax Optio S4 Digital Camera

Advantages: Compact/ High quality pictures
Disadvantages: Short battery-life/ no memory card included

...This camera is a small (3.3 x 2 x 0.8 inches), robust and reliable camera and has some of the best picture quality I've seen in any 4 MegaPixels digital camera. This camera has 3x optical zoom which for its size is very impressive though the very edges of pictures can blur with full zoom. If you especially want a camera with good quality zoom pictures then this camera is not for you. The camera features a menu screen which will take some getting used to, though the build quality of the whole camera is very credible and it is very advanced technically. This camera also includes a simple cam-corder function. However, with all these hi-tech features there has to be a couple of downfalls, and there are!
