Advantages: Cheap, Good Performace
Disadvantages: Not HT, L2 Cache could be bigger, Easy to install if you know how.

...I've had this processor for nearly two years now, and following a cost benefit anaylsis, I still don't see the point in upgrading. It's a perfectly capable processor, and teamed with 1GB of memory, it performs well. Theres not a lot to say about this processor, and what will be said will be extreamly boring. I can see why processors don't have a lot of reviews, they're not exactly easy or fun to write about, but I'll give it my best shot. ----------General Information---------- The processor uses the old pentium 4 socket 478 style interface meaning it is only comaptable with socket 478 motherboards(Though i believe you can buy an adapter for 478 chips to make the work with socket LLG775 motherboards - the newer but not newest design). Pentium 4 - 2.2Ghz

I spend a long time writing this. 1 hour: After a simultaneous processor release early in 2002, both Intel and AMD are settling back into the standard pattern of trying to beat the other to the punch. Intel impressed us with the Pentium 4 Northwood, as well as jumping a full 200 MHz with the Pentium 4-2.2 GHz. AMD followed this up with their Athlon XP 2100+, which once again had the juice to slip by the fastest Intel had to offer. The last shot was fired by AMD, so naturally it should be Intel's chance to step up to the plate. And from first glance, Intel seems to be carrying a mighty big bat. Advantages: Dual Core, Fast Clock Speed, Overclocking, 4mb cach

E2180 pentium dual core CPU

Advantages: Cheap, Powerfull
Disadvantages: Small L2 cache

...This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now. It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. Even the programs that heavily use CPU power are done with ease on this powerful little processor, all down to its 2 cores. As for heat, obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius. The only disadvantage i can see with the CPU would be the L2 cache size. At only 1GB its not as fast as the Core 2 Duo CPU's but at this price its...
