Running a used A4 3.0 Quattro Saloon

...This is my second Audi A4, and I bought it on the strength of my experiences with my previous A4. My car is a 2002 model 3.0 Quattro Sport with the 6 speed manual ?box. I bought this car used with 55,000 miles on the clock 6 months ago, replacing my previous car, which had covered 107,000 miles. The key strengths of this car are much the same as the previous car, namely: Reliability, Build quality, Comfort, Practicality, and Driving Involvement. I bought this car, as I also wanted more performance, as well as a newer car with lower mileage. The 3.0 6-cylinder engine is wonderfully smooth and quiet in general driving, while under harder acceleration it provides a suitably sporting growl. Toyota Camry 3.0 V6 1998

Advantages: Fast Motorway Car
Disadvantages: Forget it about town-buy a Corsa

...I brought a 1998 Camry V6 3.0 back in early September 2007. 2 previous owners and 183,000 on the clock (nothing for this car), driven daily from Telford to Birmingham. Having owned the car for 4 months and putting another 10,000 motorway miles on the clock I have to say that generally it is an excellent car. First the bad points. With petrol currently between 99.9 and 106.9 a litre in the UK you need to bear this in mind. In fuel alone this car costs 16 pence a mile, even more about town. Add to that the cost of servicing at the recommended 9,000 miles in addition to replacement consumables (I put 2 new front tyres on in November) and you soon realise that this is not a Ford Fiesta. These considerations are for the most part forgotten the moment you get behind the wheel. This is a car of modest features yet it has a quality...

Peugeot 3.0 V6 Coupe

Advantages: Sleek looks, awesome power and spacious
Disadvantages: Guzzles petrol, service/repair costs, insurance and poor alloys.

...the brakes are depressed. The front dash doesn't look too plasticy which is a bonus and is covered with some sort of soft leather/vinyl material. It is and does give the impression of space inside. The safety aspect of the car comprises of both driver, passenger and side airbags. PERFORMANCE I have a 3.0 V6 24v auto engine which admittedly does burn fuel on round the town journeys (19.2 mpg) but is more economical on motorway journeys (36.2mpg). It is 210 bhp as standard and I think this is more than enough for me at present. With a top speed of 144-149 mph, it doesn't hang around, the auto gear box comprises 3 speeds and has a snow/icy mode and a sports mode for more responsiveness. A 0-60 in around 7.5 seconds which isn't bad considering the weight (1910kg) of the car. FINAL THOUGHT...

Review of Peugeot 406 3.0 Coupe

Toyota 3.0i non turbo, 1986 7MGE engine.

Advantages: Performance, rear wheel drive, brakes, handling.
Disadvantages: Expensive parts, inner body panels not protected.

...I bought this car in 1996 , after being left a few bob by my lovely Gran ( god rest her soul ), this was another one of those "man things " I just had to have ! . I'd always noticed these cars passing by in the opposite direction, and was always impressed by their almost female shape, ...... rounded at the front, slim in the middle , and the rear rounded as well ! In my opinion most Toyota's look great from the front , but they lost the plot on the arse end ! , not so with the supra. Fit and feel. ************* Getting into the car is a bit of an operation, especially if you're a fat bugger, ( unlike myself ), being so low , and the driving position, you physically have to bend yourself into the thing. Intel Pentium D E5200 Overclockers budget king and luck tester

Advantages: fast and cheap
Disadvantages: low L2 cache and overclocking relies on luck

...keep the power saving settings on you Mobo. overclocking it to 3Ghz I put my electricity bill up by £100 and that is something to be worrying about. remember this CPU is good for value but for true value you want to be avoiding major power consumption. for Gaming this CPU does incredibly well. for general home usage this CPU on stock will be more than enough. for demanding applications and HD encoding / decoding it does get a bit of lag and that was with a good 512MB Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT OCX (max overclock) . so I'd recommend this to any one who's low on money and needs performance but for anyone willing to spend a little more try going for a higher range CPU to avoid getting a bad chip....

...Two weeks into owning our toyota camry and we are loving it , Its a 1998 3.0 V6 with 97,000 on the clock so its just about run in , if buying one make sure you get as full a service history as possible , ours is in the same green as the one at the top of this page and has a sand leather interior with walnut dash inserts, the ride is fantastic due to lowered and uprated suspension plus 17 inch alloys , its as good as its much more expensive Lexus brother so, if your not a badge snob buy the toyota and keep the £3, 000 difference in price in your bank account ( if you are a badge snob still buy the camry and get a set of lexus badges for £30.00 ) ours also has dark tinted glass which , with the alloys and low ride ,really sets it apart from the crowd. the engine is silky smooth as is the auto box. the only improvements I want to make are...

...Ulead Cool 3D is an amazing little program that allows you to enter text and then apply all sorts of different effects to the text. You can change the colours, fonts, etc as you would expect, but you can also animate the text in varying ways. There are a lot of standard animations that you can apply to your text (ie. Explosion, Fire, etc), and you can also generate your own animations. Everything that you create with Cool 3D can be exported in various formats, I tend to export in an animated GIF format, these can then be uploaded to my website. Overall this is an excellent small program that is well worth the money....
