...Glasgow, the dear green place is a city I know fairly well and love. One of the main reasons I love the city is the people. They really make the place, as they are down to earth, friendly and genuine. The Glaswegians make Glasgow. Due to this I have always wanted to go to the People?s Palace, a museum dedicated to the ordinary citizens of this wonderful city, but I have never got the chance to do so until this weekend when I was up visiting some friends in Glasgow. 24 Hour Party People - 1980's pop culture DVD

Advantages: Fantastic Documentary of 80's Music Scene

...was fascinated by this film when it was released at the cinema. I was big into the music, but my coming of age did not quite coincide with the first period of popularity for the Hacienda club featured in the film..... Gutted ! Indeed, my fascination was heightened by my birthright, in so much as Liverpool and Manchester produced many of the leading cutting-edge bands of the time, helping to shape the face of music cultutre in the UK. During the mid 80's, the most relevant period covered in the film, there was a sustained period of high unemployment in the north-west and, again, more specifically Liverpool. Therefore, all people generally had was football and music. *Not So Funny People!*

Advantages: Funny One Liners!
Disadvantages: Dragged on a bit too much , Plot

...Last night my friend and I went on yet another trip to the cinema! This time we went to see the film ' Funny People' at our local cinema. We arrived at the cinema ten minutes before the film , paid our £4.20 and went to choose a seat! We were the first ones in the cinema , so we had to choice of about sixty seats ; our local cinema is quite basic (it's nothing compared to the cineworld cinema we usually go to , but it is cheaper and usually a lot quieter). At one point we wondered if we would have our 'very own private screening' as the film started at 7:20pm and we were the only two in there ; however a few minutes later we were joined by five others! ...Having been stuck with a busted camcorder on the morning on an important family visit, I dashed to a major electrical store to source a replacement, stumbled across this camera, researched the others on display and chose the S26 for ease of use, merit for the make (I bought Lumix TZ5 and have been really pleased with it, quality, capabilities etc, great lens) and general feel for the camera. in my opinion, X70 zoom works very well, resolution excellent for an "older" user and their "junior" assistants. I think that Transfer speed is not rapid, but "so what" in a camera at this price point. Very happy to recommend for general everyday trouble free use. BUT buy it on line for £60 less than the big stores and be even more satisfied that I am Ron...

From the writing point of view,the basic plot is thin and the writers try hard to make lots of single scenes which don't contribute much to the story.The film is too long and the second half tend to drag on.The jokes are Adam sandler trademark and might not be suitable for kids.The film has its moments,mostly in the form of the scenes between Seth and Sandler.Its their friendship which makes the film work and certain scenes leave a strong impact on the viewer's mind. The inclusion of leukemia makes the film more meaningful as it makes the character wonder about the real achievements of life. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered. The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too.
