...Me and my boyfriend received this for Christmas from my parents. We tried to make it together doing different parts, but since you have to follow the instructions very carefully and do one step after another this was not really working, so I just had to sit next to my boyfriend and watch while he did it! My mum got this from John Lewis for £49.99 but it is also available from the Lego website for the same price. I have also seen Lego Technic available in Toys'R'Us so it is not hard to get a hold of. Lego Technic looks quite different from the 'normal' Lego that we all know. The parts are smaller than the normal lego bricks. It is like a more 'grown up' lego. Gotta Love Technics!

Advantages: Build quality.
Disadvantages: Would be good to have a wider pitch range.

...This is yet another update to the industry standard direct drive Technics SL1200 turntable. To be honest, this is not massively different to the M3 edition, the most noticeable difference is the white LED light and the anti-skate control (which I never adjust anyway). As with all Technics, this plays records at either 33 or 45 rpm and you have the option to select the speed between -8% and +8%. This turntable also has the 'pitch reset' button which, if pressed, ignores the pitch selected on the fader and plays the record as if at 0%. A nice feature, although I hardly use it. Putting the cartridge and stylus together was a tricky job but these things always are. Putting on a great performance

Advantages: great musical numbers

...Before we had our two beautiful girls, my husband and I loved going to the theatre, particularly to see musicals, as often as we could. Sadly, we now have neither the time or the money to go, so I have to make do with listening to my favourite songs instead. I have quite a few CDs from musicals but one of my favourites is this CD - Performance by Marti Webb - as she sings many of my favourites from a number of different musicals. Marti Webb was one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's leading ladies in the seventies and eighties, taking the lead in both Evita and Tell Me on a Sunday. The Best of Performance Irons

Advantages: Fantastic looks, great forgiveness, good distance
Disadvantages: Not suitable for beginners or the very low handicaps?

...and I must admit I find many of their clubs fantastic to look at and the Pi5 are no exception! In the Wilson Staff series there are various degrees of golf club in terms of the standard of player the clubs are aimed at. This begins with the new Di7 model (Distance irons with a larger sole to reduce the effects of off-centre hits) which is the most forgiving. Next is another new model, the Ci6 which is aimed at mid-handicappers; feeling more like a precision players club but incorperating some of the more essential "forgiving" features. The third in the series is the Pi5 itself which is advertised as a "Performance Iron" to give players a variety of shot choices. The clubs progress from cavity backed long irons for forgivness to a bladed pitching wedge to give a strong player the right levels of precision and forgivness for their game...

Review of technics 1210's deejay tuntables

Advantages: proven track record, strong motor, good for club or bedroom deejay extremely robust
Disadvantages: I dont see many although some people may want to change the look of the turntable

...Recently the 1210's from technics have been under seige for the number one spot. they have been industry standard for over thirty years and every1 knows when you at the top you always have someone waiting for you to make your mistake. So Its unfortunate for the competition that technics dont really do mistakes and they are number one for a reason. They are not much to look at but the build quality and durability are out of this world, words cannot describe how smooth these turntables feel at your fingertips, i personaly have had 2 sets in the past the mark 3's and the mark 2's i own today ( my original decks are still going strong being used by a friend who bought them when i needed space ) They sell from anywhere between 500 to 600 pounds each brand new or you can pick up a second hand pair for below 600 pound. My wonderful Technics keyboard

Advantages: Brilliant sounds! Beautiful to play

...Ciao have finally put the category in for my Technics SX-KN2600 keyboard, so I just HAVE to tell you all about this wonderful musical instrument! I should firstly let you know that I'm a competent keyboard / paino player, nothing special but I can play a few tunes and write some half-decent songs. I don't claim to be a master musician or a master songwriter, but I do love sitting down at the keyboard and messing about, working with sounds and arrangements and seeing if I can suddenly "stumble" into a new song (because that's really the best for it sometimes- you can be absently noodling and suddenly find you have an idea for a song- it just builds from there). I have always loved playing the piano- from the age of five I always looked forward to going round my aunt's house to play the grand paino they had there- and many years ago...

You do get to a certain age when you feel that a little coverage might help, especially in the winter, when your skin can look a little lifeless. Foundations can be thick, drying, and sometimes more of it ends up on your collar than on your face. With Lasting Performance by Max Factor this is not the case. First of all let me describe the packaging. It comes in a tube approx. 10cm long and 5 cm wide, apart from the end and lid the tube is transparent, which enables you to see the colour of the foundation. The lid and end are a dark blue in colour. There is a large gold star on the front of the tube. The tube contains 35ml of foundation. High performance by name and by nature

Advantages: Choice of bead width. Doesn't require dispensing gun. Widely available

Technic Concealer with Tea Tree...Cheap Isn't Always Nasty!

Advantages: Cheap! last ages, does a decent job.
Disadvantages: heavy, not everyone will like the tea tree smell.
