...Some time last year, I realised I was constantly bombarded with adverts of the new Persil capsules. Out of curiosity, I went shopping at Sainsbury, and found them on special. Since then, Persil capsules have been a constant in my household. Persil colour capsules comes in a box of 20. This is sufficient for 10 washes. A capsule contains liquid detergent in a water soluble plastic wrapping. The capsule dissolves upon contact with water, both hot and cold. According to Persil, my box of bio colour capsules contains enzymes that is highly effective for stain removal and works at low temperature. In one of my experiment, I put two capsules in the detergent container and watched the water washed over it as it enters my washing machine. I realised that the wrapping became sticky and the detergent slowly seeped out of its plastic...

Persil washing up liquid: perfume for crockery

Advantages: Does the job
Disadvantages: Leaves scent is cups and mugs

...Why, oh why, I ask myself, do good brand names play around with their products and end up making them worse, instead of better. It happened with Special K when they converted to bigger flakes instead of the tiny ones and the taste was ruined. Um! Sorry getting carried away on another topic. Well, what they have done to Persil washing up liquid is a similar thing. (No, they haven?t made it into flakes.) Something has happened to the formula. I used to use Persil for when I hand wash dishes but went over to Fairy. The other day I decided to go back because I spotted a beautifully, milky, pale green coloured aloe vera Persil liquid and I really quite fancied it. Anyway, I did my usual and just squirted the liquid into the wash up bowl, added hot water and started the job. There were a lot of bubbles for amount of the product I had used...

...suggested some years ago buying a dishwasher needless to say he never got his own way!!! He doesn't have to wash dishes very often I have to add my choice. (Told you I was a bit sad ok well very sad then). As a result of this I have tried several different types of washing up liquid over the years however I have decided that the best product to use is Persil washing up liquid. In this particular review Persil Aloe Vera washing up liquid to be exact. This particular brand is manufactured by Unilever. Persil Tablets

Advantages: Well known brand, good for babies
Disadvantages: Cleaning not brilliant, doesn't smell nice.

...I find that Persil tablets don\'t clean as well as some other brands I have used. I have a very messy 4 year old, so I have lots of stains to contend with. I find that the tablets aren't as effective as some powders, and they don't always dissolve properly during the wash. I have also found myself, on occasion, having to use 3 tablets instead of 2. Another thing that I tend to find with the Persil tablets, is that they dont smell very nice. I know it's not the most important feature of laundry products, but the way my clothes smell is important to me. I suppose the Persil tablets are fine if you only have a small baby, or older kids that don't get stains on their clothes, but they're not much help when you have a messy toddler to contend with,...

persil washing powder pleasant but not good for eczema

Advantages: long lasting smell
Disadvantages: harsh to skin even non-bio verson. too expensive

...on the few times i have used persil i loved the smell. the smell always seemed to last a good few days. unfortunately the product always started my eczema off at first i did not realise it was the washing powder but after a few times of use with other products inbetween i realised it was the problem. also my son who also has sensitive skin had a rash on his face which was were his clothes had been rubbing- tis cleared up when i stopped wasing his clothes in persil. the cleaning power is good- however i would not say it was anything special. i feel it it is also expensive compared to other non leading brands. i would not buy persil again as it is very harsh to sensitive skin and i feel it is too expensive....

My Persil tablets Non-Biological experiences

Advantages: Lovely smell and makes white clothes nice and bright
Disadvantages: That you cannot use Persil Non-Biological tablets on all washes

...I have been using Persil Non-Biological tablets for over a year now and have only just realised that these are what have been bleaching my family's dark clothes washing. I thought it was down to my Hotpoint washing machine, but I showed someone what was happening to our dark clothes and they said it looks like bleach and your machine can't bleach your clothes. I'm now using Persil Colourcare for my dark clothes washing as it does not contain bleach and because Non-Biological contains bleach it was bleaching black and navy clothes of my family's. I only chose Non-Biological as at the time I had my first baby and this washing powder was advised for baby's clothes and delicate on baby's skin, they never advertised anything about it containing bleach or not to use it on all washes. But on the whole I love the smell of persil...

Advantages: very effective on grease.It really works.

...My mother in-law is always on the look out for offers whenever she shops and stock up on things that don't have expiry dates such as toilet rolls and washing up liquid. I personally use the Tesco's own brand because it's cheap and cleans just as well but my mother in-law recently found an offer on this washing up liquid and gave me a couple of bottles so here I am to give you my review. The bottle is unlike most washing up liquids as it is not clear but a vibrant yellow with a green flip top lid. It dents in slightly near the top on both sides, I'm assuming this is for an easy grip as it doesn't curve in the middle like others. The label states clearly that it is a concentrated washing up liquid by Persil and this one is particular is the Lemon Zing flavour. The size of the bottle is also on the top of the label, mine is a 500ml...
