PC World ---- Poor Customer Service World

...was no sign, waited in again the next as the helpline suggested but still nothing. By this time we were pretty sick of having no computer so we called trading standerds who told us to just go into the store and demand our money back, not to leave until we got it so we did. Eventually we got the money back and left the store, leaving the useless computer with them. We now have one that works from Currys. When we got the phone bill for that month it had cost a grand total of £75 to call PC World Tech Guys Helpline!!!! I am absolutely appalled by the service PC World gave us, we were left without the internet for about 2 months. I really don't recommend that anybody buys anything from PC World they are awfull and my husband and I have got trading standards to look into them. They have the worst customer service, I've ever experienced....

You can get a free catalogue from the website, where you can also ask to be contacted by a local representative (see above!). You've got nothing to lose so why not try it now? Your rep has to order every free item individually, so if you don't tell her you're entitled to it you might not get it!...

...we bought our home pc from PC World over 4 years ago. At first the pc worked fine, but then after a few weeks, we found that it was being very slow, restarting whenever it felt like it, and numerous of error messages appearing. We phoned the customer helpline, who asked us to go through a number of procedures, with none of these being of any help. We asked them to come and repair it, but they refused. We asked them if we could bring it into store, but once again they refused. My father wrote to their head office and asked for them to repair it, but it took at least 5 letters for them to do anything. We took it into our local store, and after 3 days, we recieved a "courtesy call" to say that it had not been looked at as the person appointed to it was away. Tiny Computers - Terrible Customer Service

Had I been offered on site service when I bought the PC I would definitely have bought this, however it was never offered to me, and I was not even aware that the option existed.
