...Introduction: So, we're stuck in Albuquerque, and have pretty much seen about as much desert as we can take. We've 'done' all there is to do. With a spare weekend on our hands, we decided to take advantage of our Geographical positioning and take a trip to somewhere on the west coast. I've always wanted to see San Francisco, and after looking into flights, we found some bargains. So off we go. We looked for reasonable hotels, and came across The Petite Auberge, it wasn't the cheapest we found, but it had an appealing charm that won us over, so we booked. A great place to stay in Aspen - L'auberge d'Aspen

Advantages: Cute, well equipped, cheap
Disadvantages: Won't be available for much longer

...Ever since I was a small child, I always loved to construct play houses - whether it was camping in the garden, making a mock-home in my granddad's garage or building a tent out of an old sheet and a couple of clothes driers, it was something that always made me happy. Petite Star Zia Stroller - Travel or not to Travel?

Advantages: Lightweight and compact - ideal for travel.
Disadvantages: Basket underneath is far too small, no 'hanging' space from handles.

...We bought our Zia Stroller for travel purposes only. We have an iCandy Apple travel system which, although excellent, was too large to take on holiday. We also didn't want it to get damaged via baggage handling. We looked at several other pushchairs - including the Quinny Zapp. However, this and others were not suitable as they did not lie flat...at the time of our holiday to Lanzarote, our daughter was 13 weeks old and unable to sit upright. Also, newborns must be able to lie completely flat to aid respiration and ensure that their spine's are not contorted. (It is only reccommended that they stay in a car seat for no more than 2 hours at a time due to the pressure it puts on their lungs and spine.) Le Petit Blanc food at its best

...Le Petit Blanc, Brindley Place, Central Birmingham. At first, the thought of eating at LBP filled me with horror, and not just at the thought of the bill at the end of the evening. But you have to try things and that is just what I did last night. From the outisde its a goldfish bowl which surprisingly isnt a problem for diners even on a Saturday evening. The greeting staff are courteous, remembered we had a reservation, took coats with charm and seated us exactly on time. The menu arrived, was easy to read and the stff very helpful at expanding on the dishes - they knew their stuff. Additional specials were available on the Board (pity it was a single board) and on staff notepads. I ordered a Caesar salad to start ( £5.95). It arrived, was well presented but realy should have been re named - there was no anchovy in sight...

...Frubes are a wonderful if not 'money grabbing' invention from the makers of Petit filous. For around£2.20 you can buy a box of nine Frubes which contain 40g of yogurt in each. Inside a tube like wrapper is a whole load of fromage frais that is sitting there just waiting to be eaten. They come in thre different flavours and these are forest fruits, strawberry and peach and are a great source of calcium for the young and old! In a way these Frubes are a bit of a cop out but on the other hand they are a bit of a miracle invention. They combine the goodness of a fromage frais and the convenience of a chocolate bar. The tube they come in is easy to open although the really young ones may struggle a little. Once the tear off top is open, you just squeeze and suck to you hearts content or until the packet is empty. I love the fact that...

...Growing up, I always associated Petits Filous with the blonde little French girl that always appeared on the TV adverts. It only occured to me the other day when I was out grocery shopping with my mum, that I'd yet to try the well-known yogurt that I'd always heard so much about. So, in the basket it went, for me to try for the first time in my fourteen years of existance! Petits Filous is a fromage frais, manufactured by the wonderful Yoplait brand. In English, 'Petits Filous' actually means 'Little Rascals', and just by this name, it's clear to see the target market for this little yogurt. However, Petits Filous has been enjoyed by numerous people, including adults, and I thought it was time to jump on the band wagon - or should I say, yogurt wagon!
