Petra Palace Hotel. Forget it!!!

Advantages: The only positive thing is it's closeness to Petra itself
Disadvantages: Dirty, dusty,noisy.

...of the day. Meals were taken in a restaurant which was upstairs, with no lift access. We had to come down to reception and then climb this staircase. Not good, if you are disabled. The choice of food was minimal and not particularly well presented. We didn't try the bar ourselves, but some in our party did, and said that the beer worked out at around £9 a pint. The only thing going for this hotel is that it is within walking distance of the city of Petra and it stands on a main road where there are shops that you can purchase eats, drinks, etc. We were only there for 2 nights (thank goodness) and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Perhaps when they have finished the refurbishment ( Goodness knows when that will be. They work SO slowly) it might improve the place, but in my opinion there are plenty of other places to stay...

...My husband bought himself Audrey Niffenegger?s The Time Traveller?s Wife as he is a sci-fi fan. He read the book and put it on the bookshelf. After a few weeks I read a few reviews on it and discovered that we have this book so I started reading it. It was a very engaging reading I could hardly put the book down. Excellent travel system

Advantages: Folding down, multifunctional
Disadvantages: Slightly heavy

...Being a first time Mum, I searched around all the high street shops for a functional and attractive travel system. Out of all the prams this one had the easiest folding down system, even tho it was slightly on the heavy side I could fold it down with 1 hand! The carry cot was great for the first 4 months fitting in to the pram snuggly as the seat folded flat (which I found alot of other prams didn't do) The car seat had a base that made it so easy to take the baby in and out of the car (no messing around with seat belts every time!) It is also very well padded, however it didnt come with cushioned protectors on the straps. When we were taking baby home for the first time, the midwife told us it needed them which were only £5 extra to buy. Best Travel System but for how long?

...We bought the Graco Quattro Tour Travel System after looking at everything on the market comparing costs, accessories, weight etc. This travel system was for my first child so I had no previous experience to help me. The whole concept of the travel system is revolutionary; my mom was so impressed. Having the car seat/infant carrier which effectively turns the buggy into a pram and also means that your baby who has fallen asleep in the car can be effortlessly moved into the buggy, is a marvelous invention! We bought the Graco fro Babies R Us in January 2005 for £190. It came with an auto base, weather shield, foot muff and changing bag (the only thing I have had to buy additionally is a parasol). The autobase is a brilliant idea. You fix it in the car once and the infant carrier just clicks in place. No messing around...

A bulky travel system

Advantages: Big Shopping basket, Suitable until baby wants to walk, Great for Ramming people out of the way (joke)
Disadvantages: Very Heavy, Bulky and Hard to find somewhere to put the pushchair when not using it.

...I bought this travel system because i thought it looked good, boy was i wrong. Ever since i brought it i hated but my partner wouldnt let me take it back because he liked it. -Car Seat- My son never liked the car seat so it didnt get used much. It scrunched him up to much and even though they say you can use it until the baby is 29lbs my son would fit in it when he got to 20lbs. The only good thing about the car seat was that it was easy to fit into a car and onto the pushcchair to make it a travel system. -Pushchair- As i said above my son didnt like it in the carseat so i had to put him in the pushchair from about 2weeks old, this pushchair is ment to be suitable from birth. ...I have this Playpen/travel cot and unlike the old wooden ones which dont collapse down this one does. I brought it while my first daughter was 6 mths as I was going down to Hastings to see family and she had grown out of her moses basket.I kept it downstairs and set it up in the corner so she could play in it while I was doing dinner so I knew she was safe.I know some veiws about playpens are that they are bad and restrict freedom but I feel that if used properly then they are a god send.I dont agree with people who stick their child in a playpen 24/7 with no interaction- that is defeantly out of order. A baby needs to be on the floor sometimes to find out how to roll and move about-sense of space in comparision to their body.Reaching out of toys just out of their reach and moving, all aids and speeds up the will to get somewhere...
