My first car: A Peugeot 309.

Advantages: Reliable, Spacious, easy to drive, cheap.

Peugeot 306 best car on the road

Advantages: Large interior, Economic, Quick off the mark
Disadvantages: Doesn't like the cold

...The Peugeot 306 is the predecessor to the new 307. I currently own a Peugeot 306 1.9 Turbo Diesel. I have had this car for the past 4 years and have had no problems with it during that time. When anyone mentions the word diesel, the first things that come to mind are noisey, smelly cars that are really sluggish. I would usually agree, but this car is the exception. When you first sit in this car you would be suprised that a hatchback can be so spacious, but it is. Another suprise will be when you start the engine and hear it purr.....although it isn't as quiet as a petrol it has been padded enough under the bonnet to reduce the engine noise a great deal. My Peugeot!

Advantages: Great Looking, Agile, Fun.
Disadvantages: Diesel, Horrible seating position!

...frequently goes off when letting people in on your side, which can be annoying at times, especially at night or when trying to make a quiet exit! *Interior and seating* Peugeot are not known for their brilliant interiors, and as you would expect, this is not any different, the seating is pretty average until you go to use it. The way the seats are positioned is ridiculous, and getting the drivers seat in the correct position for you can be a chore at times, especially if you share the car like I do. The method of moving the seat forward to let people into the back seat of the 3 door version is very awkward nd fragile, as we have discovered many times previously, when it has broken or ceased to function correctly. Other than this it is pretty average inside for a car of its type, the back seats fold down quite well, ad you get the dashboard...

Peugeot 206 Look (AC) 3DR

Advantages: Nice looking Car - very nippy!
Disadvantages: Awful, awful, awful - would never buy again!

...I wanted a 206 after having two Peugeot 205s which were reliable and fantastic little runners - I thought the 206 would be the perfect upgrade. I choose the Look - a special edition which gave extra features - Air Conditioning, metallic paint, CD player, dual airbags plus more. I also had ABS added on as an extra - which was a must for safety. It is a lovely looking car and when working is a fantastic and nippy drive - I loved it - until things went wrong! Day one - the indicator unit broke - apparently a common fault. First month - leak in passengers footwell - more like a flood - again a common fault. Leak in passengers foot well and under back seats - windscreen resealed. Intermittent electrical faults - hard to prove - but the believed me eventually - faulty interior lights and headlights not turning on/off. Coil...

...I was forced into a purchase of another car as I had wrote off my previous one (Peugeot 106). As I had liked my old car I decided to get another Peugeot. Originally, I had wanted a second hand 307 but was lured by the free insurance and looks of the new 206 Sport. I really like the look of the 206 Sport. The interior is very nice also, with the red and black trim. The one damper though, is the istrument panel with the stereo and air conditioning controls. It just looks out of place against the rest of the interior. It's as if they did a great job with the rest of the car and then suddenly they only had half an hour left to design the instrument panel! The Car With The Evil Eyes...

...PEUGEOT 206 1.4 FEVER 3dr PETROL (REG '04) I was so surprised to see that on my first visit to the Peugeot section of Ciao, the reputation of the Peugeot 206 is so high. Maybe I'm the one unlucky owner of one, or maybe Peugeot have assigned their employees aliases with which to trail the web and sing the car's praises. I'm not going to slate the car, just describe my observations of the vehicle from my experience, so that hopefully, you would reconsider if you like. Peugeot 205, great first car

Advantages: Best handling little car, alongside the old mini
Disadvantages: Overheat if pushed

Im only 17 and the 205 pulls really well, all through the gears, i dont know whether its had a better gear box put in but ive had it up to 120mph on a track and it was still accelerating, my rev counters gone so i did'nt want to rev it too hard. We had a race with a 1.6 fiat punto and he maxxed out at 100 with a car with 5 people in and i accelerated past him and left him in the dust, again with 5 people in and we aint midgets, im 6'7 and one of the lads in the back was 6'5. we came to a corner and he lost control where as my little beastie stuck like it was on rails.
