My first car: A Peugeot 309.

Advantages: Reliable, Spacious, easy to drive, cheap.
Disadvantages: Not a looker, becoming a rarity in the UK.

Peugeot 306 best car on the road

Advantages: Large interior, Economic, Quick off the mark

...The Peugeot 306 is the predecessor to the new 307. I currently own a Peugeot 306 1.9 Turbo Diesel. I have had this car for the past 4 years and have had no problems with it during that time. When anyone mentions the word diesel, the first things that come to mind are noisey, smelly cars that are really sluggish. I would usually agree, but this car is the exception. When you first sit in this car you would be suprised that a hatchback can be so spacious, but it is. Another suprise will be when you start the engine and hear it purr.....although it isn't as quiet as a petrol it has been padded enough under the bonnet to reduce the engine noise a great deal. Peugeot 205, great first car

Advantages: Best handling little car, alongside the old mini
Disadvantages: Overheat if pushed

...I am a new driver of only 1 and 1/2 months, 17 years old. I passed my test on the first attempt, which surprised the hell out of me. Fortunately, my dad had already bought me a car for my birthday about 3 months before. This car was my very own Peugeot 205 GT (G reg). It's a sort of slivery blue, 5 door. Funky Little Peugeot

...After many happy years with the Renault Megane coupe (see previous op!) it was time to trade in and get something a bit newer. After looking at many, many cars, we finally chose the Peugeot 206 1.4 LX (although Ciao call it a 1.3?) okay, it's a 1360cc engined car. Let's not split hairs eh? We opted for a 2000 W reg automatic 3 door in metallic blue, and picked one up from our local Peugeot dealership for a bargain £6,495, with 26,000 miles on the odometer (wow, what a great word!). True, you can pick them up a little cheaper, but finding an automatic can be difficult at the best of times, unless you're buying a Jaguar of course, and finding one in as good a condition as ours is even trickier. My opinion of the peugeot 106 1.1

Advantages: cheap, reliable, nice looking car.
Disadvantages: abit small inside.

...I think that the Peugeot 106 has been a good little car since they brought them out. The peugeot is the same as the Citroen saxo but a peugeot style, The first one that come out was a (H) 1991 and all the way up to a (04) plate. Inside the pedels are a bit close together and not much room but you would get used of it. The little 1.1 engine is small but not bad for around town, you cont go fast on the roads now because speed cameras and lots of people on the roads. The peugeot is nice and easy to park in parking spots and driving them are easy. The new 106 looks alot better then the old 106 they have inproved it alot more and is a little bit bigger and easy to get in and out. Its good for a young person who has just passed their test or a older person, the insurance and tax are cheap but best of all the petrol lasts...

If you want a fast car (and by that I mean affordable and not cars such as the Ferraris!) then do not go for the Sport - well not the 1.4 version anyway, definitely go for a bigger engine. However, overall, I am really unhappy about the car. I have had numerous faults already and I've only had it for eight months. First lets talk about my buying experience. I needed a car desparately as I travel to the next town for work and car rental and train tickets were getting expensive. The sales guy at a official Peugeot dealer was very friendly and very helpful. However they didn't have any Sport models for me to test drive so I had to test drive an older but similar specification 206. Peugeot 206 Look (AC) 3DR

...I wanted a 206 after having two Peugeot 205s which were reliable and fantastic little runners - I thought the 206 would be the perfect upgrade. I choose the Look - a special edition which gave extra features - Air Conditioning, metallic paint, CD player, dual airbags plus more. I also had ABS added on as an extra - which was a must for safety. It is a lovely looking car and when working is a fantastic and nippy drive - I loved it - until things went wrong! Day one - the indicator unit broke - apparently a common fault. First month - leak in passengers footwell - more like a flood - again a common fault. Leak in passengers foot well and under back seats - windscreen resealed. Intermittent electrical faults - hard to prove - but the believed me eventually - faulty interior lights and headlights not turning on/off. Coil...
