My baguette is filled with Philadelphia cheese
Advantages: tastes fabulous, healthy
Disadvantages: none
...Kraft Philadelphia Light Garlic and Herbs is a medium fat soft cheese made in Germany. I like to taste cheese of different nations because cheese can taste very different.
Price and Package
-------------------------
This cheese comes in a white oval plastic tub which contains 300 g of soft cheese. The lid is silver coloured plastic. The tub can be opened and re-closed easily and keeps the cheese fresh. Naturally it has to be refrigerated. Its price is 1.82 pounds in Sainsbury?s which is about average I think. Now (24 November 2009) it is on offer buy 1 and add 1 free.
Taste and texture
----------------------
It is a white thick cheese that can be spread easily. There are small pieces of green herbs in it. The garlic cannot be observed as it has very mild taste but the herbs give the cheese a very nice taste. There is a secret...

Low Fat Lunch? Kraft Philadelphia with herbs and garlic
Advantages: Good packaging, fantastic taste, Good use of ingredients
Disadvantages: None at all in my opinion.
...If you have read any of my previous reviews then you will have seen that I sometimes struggle with what to have for my lunch everyday. I tend to get bored quite quickly with food and whilst I have fads of items where I cannot get enough of them, not long after I am soon fed up. I have recently been on a bit of a soup fad but know that before long I will tire of it. Whilst going to heat my soup up in the works kitchen I saw a colleague toasting herself a bagel and then spreading something on it.... This something was Philadelphia Light Garlic and Herb.
So a new idea for my lunch and off I went to my local Supermarket, Tesco to pick myself a tub up. I have never had Kraft's Philadelphia before but have often treated myself to some soft cheeses, especially at Christmas time. A couple of reasons drew me to the product, the fact that it...

Creamy cheese, gorgeous garlic but not one to ward off vampires
Advantages: Mild garlic taste but lovely creamy flavours and thick texture
Disadvantages: Price
...Whenever I hear 'Philadelphia' I always thick of the TV advertising of the 2 angels in heaven eating this soft cheese with crackers. I suppose that's the marking of good advertising. I have never actually tried the original Philadelphia but it is basically a creamy soft cheese manufactured by Kraft (a massive manufacturer of a whole array of food brands).
I like flavoursome cheese and seeing as I love soft cheese with flavouring like garlic, chives, herbs etc...this looked really appealing - Kraft Philadelphian Light Garlic and Herbs.' By 'Light' they actually mean, less fat and calories than the original. It's not 'low fat' and the product even details it to be - 'a medium fat soft cheese with garlic and herbs.' There is still 47kcal, 3.5g of fat and 2.3g of saturated fat per 30g serving. I don't know how much a 30g serving rquates...

A Purely Subjective View of Cheese
Advantages: It says it's cheese and it is cheese, so 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Disadvantages: It's not very tasty cheese IN MY SUBJECTIVE OPINION
...Kraft Philadelphia is a high fat cream cheese that has been around forever. If you've never tried it, you'll know of it from the old extremely annoying adverts with those two dippy girls, and the current extremely annoying crop of ads with Caroline Quentin dressed up as an angel and making lascicious faces as the enjoys the supposedly semi-orgasmic experience that is eating Philadelphia.
But back to the 'cheese':
Philadelphia is sold just about everywhere and comes in a silver wrapper. It is thick, pure white in colour and extremely creamy in texture. It is popularly spread on crackers, crispbreads and digestives.
The texture in the mouth is very creamy and nicely cool. However, it has NO TASTE WHATSOEVER. It does not even taste of milk.
At least that's my opinion.
To you, however, Philadelphia might taste like...

Good but not wow!. Cheese Release me foot cream
Advantages: not greasy, easily absorbed, refreshing smell
Disadvantages: not as immediatly cooling/soothing as some
...Not such strong Cheese! I do use foot creams/soothers quite a bit especially in summer. This one works satisfactiorily, but personally I prefer ones with a bit more Zing! with the tingly cooling sensation. This somewhat lacked that immediate cooling sensation that usually accompanies mint foot creams/soothers.
I used this in the hot weather we recenlty had (June2009) after some long days in a hot kichen on my feet for 8 hours. Unfortunatley It did not have the same instant effect , and I immersed my feet in cold water to cool them quickly. I applied this before the water treatment, as the soles of my feet were burning (kitchen work for health and safety reasons strongly recommend that sandals/open toes are not worn, so that feet are protected from hot liquids/foods and heavy implements accidentally dropped). This means that...

Scottish Double Cream Cheese Dream
Advantages: Delicious, creamy, more-ish, delicious.
Disadvantages: Full-fat, high in calories, a bit pricey.
...One of the finest Cheeses ever to come out of the Highlands. This can be found in a fetching dark blue/white/light blue hexagonal cardboard “tube” and bears the legend “double cream cheese from the Highlands hand rolled in Scottish pinhead oatmeal”. It is known as Caboc. Don’t ask me about pronounciation, dunno, me! I just devour the stuff, and so does my other half! We love it. It is highly fattening, and comes in 110g packet with 83% double cream cheese and 17% pinhead oatmeal. Other than that it only contains a preservative. That is it. Talk about authentic, delicious and lacking in additives. This has the lot.
The taste is not, admittedly, to everyone’s taste. It is mild, but very buttery, creamy and has a slightly acidic aftertaste, very filling, and really you can’t have too...

no cheese here
Advantages: cheap cream that does the trick with tired tootsies
Disadvantages: better applied after the bath, not before putting on shoes
...Cheese release me
?i love you with the ferocity of an exploding thousand megaton nuclear bomb?. ?your eyes are like deep pools I could jump naked into and save you from drowning?. ? you are my rock, my pebble, my grain of sand on the beach of life where I dream of us walking hand in hand forever?. if you think these lines are cheesy, take your shoes off after a hard day of being on your feet and you?ll then know exactly why you need this ultra cooling, refreshing, soothing and deodorising cream. some new tights or socks wouldn?t hurt either.?
This young and trendy foot cream does more than just moisturise! It has a deodorising effect, for stinky feet, a soothing moisturiser for dry cracked and flaky skin, all wrapped up in a zingy fresh mint fragrance.
It comes in a funky blue squeezable tube which is easy to handle.
I applied...

On the streets of Philadelphia
Advantages: Excellent performances, story and sound track
Disadvantages: None
...making to have challenged so many people to confront their own prejudices and ignorance. Dealing with the highly provocative subject of homosexuality and AIDS, Philadelphia does an excellent job of disbanding many of the myths surrounding both of the subjects. Not only does Philadelphia tell a powerful story of injustice, it is also a beautifully shot film, which has many scenes which will tug at your heart strings. It also allowed Tom Hanks to demonstrate that he was more than capable of performing serious roles as he had previously been better known for his comedy roles. There were some critics who suggested that Hanks was not convincing as a homosexual, what did they expect a bloke wearing lipstick, lycra and high heals. Part of the beauty of the film was that it attempted to destroy society's stereotypes of how homosexuals looked and acted...

kraft philadelphia xtra light
Advantages: Low Fat
Disadvantages: Negligible fiber content.
...: The basic ingredients are: Milk, Cream and stabilisers.
The cream cheese is pure white in Colour, the texture is creamy and sticky. The product is made in belgium which is more better known for making Chocolate's.
The way in which this spread is used is by having and eating it with biscuits and Cracker's to fully appreciate this Product.
On a nutritional basis from the low fat, low salt and sugar content this product bodes well for eating as a safe and healthy product. Though closer inspection shows with little fiber content this Product really does not do much to help digestion or promote Healthy Eating interest's to a higher level. The people that are going to benefit most from this are those seeking to try and reduce calories as the traditional cheese Product contain much higher levels of fat content. So this is a winner in...

Philadelphia Fan!!
Advantages: Taste great, ok for calories, great snack food
Disadvantages: Sometimes the 'dippers' can be too large to dip
...fairly small so I find them convenient for packed lunches and to have as snacks.
Price
I buy these from Tescos where they cost 98p per pack. Recently they were in special offer and you got 2 for 98p.
The Different Varieties
Cheesecake
This variety comes with mini wheat meal biscuits as the 'dippers'. The cream cheese is reduced fat Phildelphia and in the other compartment you have Raspberry Coulis.
I thought that this combination worked really well together and was enjoyable although it still wasn't as nice as normal cheesecake. Personally, I think I prefer the savory versions of this snacks.
Chives.
This variety comes with crunchy chive flavoured crackers. The cream cheese is reduced chive Philadelphia and in the other compartment in a tangy tomato chutney. To be honest, on first opening this one, I thought it was a bit...
