Philips 15" T.V.
Advantages: Compact, Stylish, Sound.
Disadvantages: Small screen.
..., if you are at the wrong angle to watch it, it seems darker/lighter than it actually is. But overall the screen is good for watching most things soaps/general tele/sport/films. Although obviously its better to watch films on a bigger screen.
The sound is very good quality. The inbuilt loudspeakers make much better sound that your normal/average television. However, i feel they are put to waste when you are just watching normal tele. I can think of better uses than Peggy Mitchell from Eastenders with loudspeakers. Its better for usage on things like Match of the Day or films. (Which the screen doesn't really facilitate.) It goes quite loud, but i never really go past 25 and have it on around 15 on average. This is the type of volume to have if there is someone in the room next to you and you don't want to disturb them.
Overall it is...

Philips 14PT 1556
Advantages: Nice design, good value, teletext, perfect for a small room
Disadvantages: mono, not stereo
...I received the Philips 14PT 1556 for my birthday a couple of years ago, so I don?t know exactly how much my parents paid for it, but I believe you can pick one up for about £100.
The TV itself has a 14 inch CRT colour screen, weighs 9kg, has mono sound output, an infrared remote control, and a one year warranty. This has proved more than adequate for the use in my bedroom, although because of the lack of stereo and small size I wouldn?t recommend using it as the primary TV in the house.
The TV is modelled in metallic anthracite, has a modern curved design, with large functional buttons on the front. It can be tuned either automatically or manually using the supplied remote control or the buttons on the TV itself. The menu system on the TV is clear and easy to use ? even without reading the instructions. Brightness, colour, contrast...

Lovely product, except the DVD player!
Advantages: Lovely picture, good quality sound, good price
Disadvantages: DVD player defective
...When I was initially looking for a DVD/TV combi, I researched well and ended up buying this TV from Amazon for £149.99 including delivery, which was the cheapest and best quality for that price around.
It arrived in a couple of days and I couldn't wait to get it installed and set up. Set up was easy, as with all Philips products from past experience. The picture quality is second to none, and sound quality is very good too. The product itself feels well made, and looks good. The screen size is 15" and flat, which again adds to the picture quality.
I put in a DVD and it played well, again I was pleased with the quality of the product, and over the course of the following month (Jan - Feb 2005) we played many DVDs on the TV and had no problems whatsoever, until.....
We put in a DVD a month after purchase and the screen flickered...

Dell Studio 15

T250Gb or 320 GB.
We also have an option to upgrade it to higher speed 7200RPM version
his set is good enough for aero experience of Windows Vista.

Fun and functional toaster
Advantages: The countdown lights!
Disadvantages: Not particularly fast; occasionally doesn't go on properly.
...which show you how the toasting is progressing. Sounds a bit unnecessary, I know, but once you have it you won't want to live without it. It's really handy to be able to glance at the lights and see how far along it is, and so be able to do other stuff while it's working without it popping up and getting cold before you get back to it.
The slots are a good size - some toasters like this are quite small, and so you can't get bread which is slightly longer than normal into it. This is not a problem with this one as the slots are a good 15cm long, and it can accommodate quite thick slices as well.
The other features of this toaster are: a pop-up bun rack, a crumb tray, a high-lift feature (for those small items which always seem to get stuck!), a defrost button, a reheat button, a selector for how dark you want (from 1 to 9), a little...

good old reliable philips
Advantages: smal
Disadvantages: tuning, av problems
...I have this tv in black. It's sat in my room for a couple of years now. I have to say, it has given me a lot of good times, and has proven very reliable indeed! Let me tell you a little about this!
----
SPECIFICATIONS:
Philips 14PT 1563B
CRT - 14"
TV Type - colour
Dimensions (WxDxH) 39 cm x 37.4 cm x 34.6 cm
Weight 9.1 kg
----
DESIGN
This tv is decently designed. It has a bubble type look, very round and curvy! The tv has only four buttons on it- power and a menu accessor (3 buttons) on the front.
Around the back, there is a tv aerial socket and a european connector scart socket thingy. Only one though.
----
REMOTE
The remote is pretty simple, having channel, menu, tuner, volume and page up/down buttons. The great thing about this remote is -it is very sturdy! I have thrown and dropped this thing hundreds...

Philips TV
Advantages: Tidy
Disadvantages: Hard to reach connections
...I have a 15" widescreen LCD Philips TV, it was about £270 a couple of summers ago. I have had absolutely no problems with it. It has good picture quality, good sound and is rather stylish. he speakers are on each side of the screen and there are a couple of small lights at the bottom left speaker. The buttons are hidden along the top of the TV and are easy to distinguish and press. The connections are all hidden on the back under the TV tube, they are rather awkward to get to but easy enough to set up. It could do with another scart connection though.
The picture is a bit fuzzy now and then, but I think that's the signal we get. Also, I do have a dead pixel and a small scratch on the screen that was picked up during transport. It also shows lines across the screen every now and then....

Philips SoundMachine AZ102N - The Soundmaster!
Advantages: Good quality chassis, good sound quality, does everything for the price, looks nice.
Disadvantages: Inbuilt handle could have been better, silver version better than white -preference.
...I needed something to listen to while I worked at home, in the garden and in the office and I needed it quick. Paying a quick visit to my local Bennets I picked up the AZ102N, a CD/Radio by Dutch manfacturers Philips.
Because I wanted something cheap and cheerful that would be subject to a few knocks I picked up Bennet's own brand £19.99 stereo which had unfortunately sold out, this was the next cheapest thing but I am glad I picked a reputable brand because it fulfills all of my needs as a radio and CD player.
It was very well packaged with a power cable, instruction manual and cardboard packaging (very environmentally conscious there). The picture for this review is silver, mine is light blue and white which does not help with dust or grime. I feel the silver version would have hidden day to day scratches and dust better.
The stereo...

Good picture just a shame about the sound
Advantages: cheap - good quality picture playback - large range of features - built in DVD
Disadvantages: poor audio quality
...When the time came to replace my aging TV in my bedroom the size of the room was an overriding factor, I couldn't have a large screen, nor a back that stretched for a foot backwards due to limited surface space. My first thoughts were to pick up a small flat screen TV with an LCD screen but after shopping around I found that they were out of my price range. I then searched high and low for a good quality portable TV and I came across the Phillips 14PT6107 in Comet foe the bargain price of £89.99. Not only is this a TV is also combines a built in DVD player which can play CDs, DVDs and MP3s.
The installation process was hassle free, having only a 14-inch screen it was fairly light and certainly very portable having a handle formed into outer plastic. With 100 pre set channels after connecting the TV to my aerial the onscreen menu...

Philips 14 inches of pure joy!
Advantages: Relatively cheap, easy to set up / install, great pic and sound quality
Disadvantages: No individual sound control apart from vol
...Having just got rid of the old television I had to purchase a new one and ended up searching for endless hours on the internet and getting hopelessly confused and bogged down with information... Then out of the blue whilst searching on ebay for something entirely different I discovered this the Philips 14 inch television with an in built DVD/CD/MP3 player!
It looked great and once i'd had a dabble at a bid and won I received it in the post a week later and was extremely impressed....
DESIGN:
A silver stylish design allows you to easily install this unit on a wall bracket, which i have done and because there are not very many cables it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb!
FEATURES:
As I've said before it comes with an in built DVD/CD/MP3 player, as well as digital DVD picture quality and great quality sound with 2 on board...
