The TV of my dreams

Advantages: Has bells and whistles
Disadvantages: not state-of-the-art

...Before I bought this television I had a cheapo Beko 21" television. Guess what? Yep. It broke. So I bought the snappily named 'Philips 21PT4457 Television'. I bought it because I wanted a 21" TV with the highest spec I could find for the least amount of money, but not so cheap as the previous Beko TV. Since buying the television I have found that I use it for more than watching television. It is not only my TV but it is my alarm clock and also my radio. Yes - radio. The radio was one of my main reasons for buying it. I do actually have a hi-fi but I thought the convenience of having a radio on my TV would be worth the extra tenner or so that this TV costs relative to other 21" TVs. At the time of buying I paid £155 for it, and the cheapest 21" TV I could find was £119 but without radio, FST and Contrast+(explained later...

All join in with the Chorus: UC200 stereo pedal from Behringer.

Advantages: Great Value for money, Solidly built,
Disadvantages: battery access is a bit fiddly

...Oh my God, I here you say, not another effects pedal review. Don't worry, there's only one more to go in my collection. As with the other pedals this one has a solid plastic moulding with a slightly awkward to open battery compartment, accessed by pushing in the pedal hinge pins and lifting it off. Much better to use an external power supply, it saves money and broken fingernails. So what does a Chorus pedal do? Well it sits in the line between the guitar and amplifier and alters the signal. Basically it is a modulating effect which adds a slight highlight and a lowlight, to create a softened, even slightly ethereal tone to the sound. There are four controls that allow you to adjust the effect, Level, Tone, Rate and Depth, an input jack and two outputs so that you can use two amplifiers to create stereo effects. The controls...

Get Connected to the STEREO MC's

Advantages: Good catchy tunes
Disadvantages: I can't find the disc

...I have liked the stereo Mc's for about a decade and had the album, but unfortunately due to my constant moving it got mislaid or lent out and forgotten. Anyhow I was recently asked if I would like a new album, after much deliberation I choose Connected. ***Band Members*** Rob, The Head, Owen If, Cath Coffey, Verona Davis and Andrea Groves. ***Front sleeve and inlay*** The front cover depicts the 6 band members on a stary, stormy night with the moon shining brightly behind them, with the earth looking like it should be the moon. The forground is a wild collection of plants, trees, flowers, mushrooms, a volcano and a snake The inlay has the lyrics to all 12 songs with white letters on a black background. ***Back Sleeve*** A black background with the playlist written on it in white, nice and simple ***Playlist...

Philips SoundMachine AZ102N - The Soundmaster!

Advantages: Good quality chassis, good sound quality, does everything for the price, looks nice.
Disadvantages: Inbuilt handle could have been better, silver version better than white -preference.

...I needed something to listen to while I worked at home, in the garden and in the office and I needed it quick. Paying a quick visit to my local Bennets I picked up the AZ102N, a CD/Radio by Dutch manfacturers Philips. Because I wanted something cheap and cheerful that would be subject to a few knocks I picked up Bennet's own brand £19.99 stereo which had unfortunately sold out, this was the next cheapest thing but I am glad I picked a reputable brand because it fulfills all of my needs as a radio and CD player. It was very well packaged with a power cable, instruction manual and cardboard packaging (very environmentally conscious there). The picture for this review is silver, mine is light blue and white which does not help with dust or grime. I feel the silver version would have hidden day to day scratches and dust better. The stereo...

Philips Arcitec Shaver

Advantages: easy to clean, smooth shaving, docking bay
Disadvantages: doesnt hold most charge, compared to others, but good enough

...Note: This is my boyfriends shaver - I wrote the review while he dictated. I don't need to use a shaver (...at least I think I don't...) I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday as an upgrade to a previous Philips shaver. It was on offer in Boots at the time and I paid about £140 as well as generating some Boots loyalty points. ~~~~~~~ The Unit ~~~~~~~ At the time it was the 2nd from the top of the range - the top of the range was the nivea moisturise one. It also has an edge trimmer and the boyfriend does not bother with moisturiser (!) so this model is sufficient. The shaver is about 6 inches tall and about 2 inches wide so it fits in the palm of your hand. The control is an on/off button located in the handle at the front in the centre. ~~~~~~ Usage ~~~~~~ The shaver has an ultra slim and easy to use...

Philips Aluminium quality juicer

Advantages: Healthy living, quick simple design
Disadvantages: blade removal, a little bulky

...Excellent item, it extracts all the juice you can get. However the blade/filter section can be difficult to remove when it has been used. The pulp is excellent for composting because it is reduced to very fine matter that can be broken down very easily. The whole item is generally easy to clean and is stable when in use. Waste container is easy to empty and collection jug is easy to clean too. The aluminium finish is very chic, looking good in your kitchen. I particularly like the rubber sucker feet on the juicer, these prevent the juicer sliding on your work top. I have seen many different juicers before i bought this one and i would say overall it is the best one that i could find. well done Philips for an innovative item that serves a healthy and valuable purpose with style. Recommended to all thos who want to make their healthy...

Philips Arcitec - Helping you to value your face

Advantages: Good qulaity of Shave
Disadvantages: Slightly Higher Price

... Philips Arcitec This one is one of the finest product of Philips in Electric Shavers. A lot of marketing in support of this product with a high price of about 160 to 250 GBP is not just a hype but true. It is actually a great product and thus its price should not stop it to capture the market. Quality of Shave The Quality of the Shaver is always determined from its ability to remove hairs. My shave has always been a challenge for the shavers and this one proved to be a good performer in dealing with it. It is capable of removing the hairs from the remotest areas of your face and the ones whic are indeed left out by normal cheap shavers. Going some details, it was able to shave off the hairs from my neck and on the side skins that cover my lip which in normal conditions would leave side burns. Its always difficult to...

Philips TT 2021 Bodygroom For The Perfect Shave

Advantages: Close, comfortable and convinient
Disadvantages: Packaging not great

...My husband is very fussy when it comes to shaving and he likes to have his own razor that I don't use. He used to spend a lot of money on purchasing the Gillette Fusion Power 4 pack priced at 7.99GBP. After finding out that I was using his razor he decided to buy the Rechargeable body shave system Phillips TT2021 this is not to be confused with the Phillips TT2020 which is similar, but not the one I am reviewing. So my husband decided to buy this razor because he knew that I wouldn't use it because I cannot use electric razor's like this they make me come out in a rash and do not work on my skin. I asked my husband to review this razor and to give me his opinions of how effective the razor is. The following is the review that I have rewritten in my own words for the purposes of Ciao. This razor is exclusively for men...

Philips Electric Shaver

Advantages: Built In Conditioner, quiet, stylish, effective
Disadvantages: Bit of a hassle to clean

...and colours. The feel of it is very comfortable on the hand and is easy to grip, due to slight ridges around the back of the shaver. This also makes it very comfortable and easy to hold, which i would say is one of the most important factors in something that is to be used daily. Also, obviously, it must be good at its job. Which this shaver is. It did a very good job, and was the closest shave i have ever had. I was previously using a gillette mach 3 razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance. I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin...
