Philips TT 2021 Bodygroom For The Perfect Shave

Advantages: Close, comfortable and convinient
Disadvantages: Packaging not great

...a rough idea of price for the Gillette Fusion Power razor blades that we were buying previously we paid 7.99GBP however the Phillips TT 2021 Body-groom costs around 26.27GBP for 2 years guaranteed life, but it will last much longer than this if you look after it. If you were to buy 4 packs of Gillette Fusion Power razor blades it would cost 31.96GBP now there is no way these blades would last for 2 years so there you have it. Compared with other razor's and razor blades on the market the Phillips TT 2021 Body-groom wins on price nearly every time. You cannot ask fairer than that especially since everyone is trying to save money nowadays. Using an electric razor saves you not only money, but water too. If you use blades then you have to rinse them every time between strokes. Not only is there the water and blades, but there is also the cost...

Philips Electric Shaver

Advantages: Built In Conditioner, quiet, stylish, effective
Disadvantages: Bit of a hassle to clean

...and colours. The feel of it is very comfortable on the hand and is easy to grip, due to slight ridges around the back of the shaver. This also makes it very comfortable and easy to hold, which i would say is one of the most important factors in something that is to be used daily. Also, obviously, it must be good at its job. Which this shaver is. It did a very good job, and was the closest shave i have ever had. I was previously using a gillette mach 3 razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance. I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin...

Philips Arcitec Shaver

Advantages: easy to clean, smooth shaving, docking bay
Disadvantages: doesnt hold most charge, compared to others, but good enough

...Note: This is my boyfriends shaver - I wrote the review while he dictated. I don't need to use a shaver (...at least I think I don't...) I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday as an upgrade to a previous Philips shaver. It was on offer in Boots at the time and I paid about £140 as well as generating some Boots loyalty points. ~~~~~~~ The Unit ~~~~~~~ At the time it was the 2nd from the top of the range - the top of the range was the nivea moisturise one. It also has an edge trimmer and the boyfriend does not bother with moisturiser (!) so this model is sufficient. The shaver is about 6 inches tall and about 2 inches wide so it fits in the palm of your hand. The control is an on/off button located in the handle at the front in the centre. ~~~~~~ Usage ~~~~~~ The shaver has an ultra slim and easy to use...

Philips shaver

Advantages: Stylish, new technology
Disadvantages: expensive

...Does everything it says on the tin and I'm pleased with the performance of the shaver. I agree with the other reviews, especially how quiet it is. Delivery took 2 days so not as fast as some say, but still excellent. My only minor gripe is that where my old philips model had a thin two pin plug this one has a (small) transformer at the plug end. This means that I can no longer plug the shaver. I've had Philishave shavers most of my shaving life and always the top of the range model, but this HQ9190 is by far the best yet. What a close shave! I use the normal setting and use only hot water to rinse after each shave and the performance is stunning, not even a hint of a rash, very very comfortable. So quiet and smooth, it really does get the hairs that other shavers miss. There are no akward places now, not the neck or even under...

Philips HS 8020 Moisrue System Cool Skin Shaver

Advantages: Convenience, comfort
Disadvantages: Still difficult to get as close as a wet shave but comes a VERY close second

...First things first, this is simply the best electric razor I have ever used. But how does this compare to other models on the market and would it convert the "wet" shaver. I myself have owned electric razors previously, mainly for the convenience factor but often felt let down by the quality of the shave and the discomfort of almost tearing at the skin. The PhilipsMoisture Razor is extremely comfortable as it dispenses moisturising gel as you shave. This elinminates the need for shaving gel/cream and means it can be used in the shower - a great time saver. Minor negative points are I felt itquite difficult to get a close shave around the neck area. Also there have been issues in being able to but replacement gel for the system which makes it redundant. I was previously a "wet shaver, using Gillette Fusion and although I do go back to my...

Excellent mid-range Philips shaver

Advantages: Close, comfortable shave, easy to clean, good battery life, very durable
Disadvantages: Replacement cutting heads are expensive

...The Philips HQ8160 is one of the mid-range electric shavers in the Speed XL series and I have been using it for the last 2 years. Before this I had a much older Philips shaver that had lasted 10 years and the battery finally stopped holding its charge so I decided to upgrade to a newer model. Product design The shaver has 3 cutting heads which move independently to match the contours of your face as you shave. My previous shaver was similar but the heads had less movement so I noticed the improvement in comfort whilst shaving. This is a definite advantage of the Speed-XL shaving heads compared with the older ones as they allow up to 50% more shaving surface. There is also a trimmer on the back which is useful for shaping and trimming sideburns but its performance is quite limited so I do not use it very often. The Lithium...

A close shave for the Philips HQ 40 shaver

Advantages: Compact, cheap
Disadvantages: not the closest cut, a bit slow

...-- Background -- I have always been one for a wet shave, I've always believed the sharpness of a true razor gives much better cuts than the rotating blades of an electric shaver. I received the HQ 40 as a birthday present from the wife so I felt I had to give it a fair crack. -- In the box -- The shaver comes in a nicely compacted box which simply contains the shaver, some instructions and perhaps surprisingly the two AA batteries that are required to operate the shaver. Fit the batteries into place and away you go. The shaver is no more than 4 or 5 inches in height so would be ideal for carrying around in a pocket if you ran out of time for your early morning shave. The contrast of the colours is also a nice feature, the front of the shaver is predominantly red with a touch of grey which then runs all down the rear...

Philips Cool Skin Shaver HQ6707

Advantages: Use in the shower
Disadvantages: Two Pin Plug on charger

...A really great shaver with super results. After recently leaving the Royal Navy I have been looking forward to using an electric shaver again and saying goodbye to my trusty Gillette Fusion. The very first thing I noticed when I started using my old electric shaver again was the results between a wet and dry shave. Philips had the answer with the Cool Skin HQ6707. A water proof electric shaver which you can use your favourite Nivea shaving gel with and even be used in the shower . The shaver has three rotary heads which can move independently of each other. The face of the shaver also pivots to fit the contours of your face This is the cheapest of the Cool Skin line of shavers, the other versions boasting a slightly longer battery life and faster charge time. All the Cool Skin range have built in gel dispensers. The more...

Philips HQ40 Battery Shaver

Advantages: It's a good all round battery shaver
Disadvantages: None

...Discovering on holiday that I had forgotten my ?wet-razor?, I decided to purchase a cheap, battery-powered shaver. Faced with vast array on sale I bought the cheapest ? the Philips HQ40. ?Well, it will suffice until I get back home? I reasoned. But after a few days of use I was pleasantly surprised, and found it to be a very good shaver indeed. Straight from the box the shaver was ready to use. It comes complete with two AA batteries, a small double-ended cleaning brush and an information sheet explaining how to fit the batteries, how to clean the shaving heads, advice on shaving-head replacement and something that really surprised me ? a helpful little tip on how to achieve a close shave. Using the shaver is simplicity itself. Remove the plastic shaver-head protector; push up the little white button above the Philips logo...

Wax on, Wax off, nah try this!

Advantages: Close shave, economical, effective results.
Disadvantages: No replacement heads to purchase.

...left behind from the hair removal. I do have to say that this has been a very worthwhile investment as it really is designed with the man in mind offering a grooming tool that gives a man the look that he desires. The tool is fairly noisy and the vibration is quite strong when using it and this may take a little while to get used to if you have never used an electric shaver before. A simple push button on or off operates this small gadget and allows you to get straight to the job in hand. *~*Product Features*~* Ergonomic Design The bodygroom is so comfortable to use, the rubber grips to the side of the shaver prevent it from slipping out of your hand when using it in the shower. Shave and Trim A dual function that allows total control over how much hair is removed, the trimming part is the most difficult part as you...
