Philips HS 8020 Moisrue System Cool Skin Shaver
Review of Philips HS 8020 COOL SKIN by
jamesf75
Advantages: Convenience, comfort
Disadvantages: Still difficult to get as close as a wet shave but comes a VERY close second
...own ways every now and then I find the convenience of the Philips is more than adequate for my daily pre-work pampering. A great buy, don't be put off by the cost,it pays for itself in the time it saves you....

Philips Cool Skin Shaver HQ6707
Review of Philips HQ6707 by
Matthew1984Taylor
Advantages: Use in the shower
Disadvantages: Two Pin Plug on charger
...A really great shaver with super results. After recently leaving the Royal Navy I have been looking forward to using an electric shaver again and saying goodbye to my trusty Gillette Fusion.
The very first thing I noticed when I started using my old electric shaver again was the results between a wet and dry shave. Philips had the answer with the Cool Skin HQ6707.
A water proof electric shaver which you can use your favourite Nivea shaving gel with and even be used in the shower .
The shaver has three rotary heads which can move independently of each other. The face of the shaver also pivots to fit the contours of your face
This is the cheapest of the Cool Skin line of shavers, the other versions boasting a slightly longer battery life and faster charge time.
All the Cool Skin range have built in gel dispensers. The more...

OOH ITS A CLOSE SHAVE
Review of Philips HQ 7830 Quadra ACT. by
smudger1964
Advantages: close shave, quick to charge, doesnt leave rash
Disadvantages: none found so far
...I purchased my Phillips Quadra HQ7830 four months ago from Argos for £88.00 .I have owned Phillips shavers before but they have always tended to be the cheaper models, but this time decided to splash out a bit for one of the mid priced range.
Phillips shavers come in various guises and models from the most expensive "sensotec" range at £188 followed by the " cool skin" range with moisturising cartridges at £149. Next is the "quadra" one of the models I am reviewing.
Then comes the "super Reflex" a little cheaper at a max of £68 and lastly the cheaper end of the phillips range is the "micro action" which sell for a max of £49.
The HQ7830 is the rechargeable and mains model of the Quadra range sitting mid way between the £59 and £114 of the other models in the range.
I chose the rechargeable and mains model for the flexibility...

SHAVE all over
Review of Philips HP 6322 SOFT Select by
scooby32
Advantages: Light weight, good grip, PINK!!!
Disadvantages: On legs nota close shave
...This shaver is an excellent buy.
It has 3 controls, under arm, bikini and legs.
It has cool strips (aloe vera) which are soft on the skin when shaving.
Its not as close a shave as others I have used BUT I just press abit harder and it really does give a close shave.
Never found anything better for under arm shaving, and more importantly for the bikini line. No rashes after shaving GREAT. Well worth every penny just for that.
Its lightweight and has a nice grip.
It comes with its own little cleaning brush and a nice silk pouch to keep it out the way.
+ it comes with batteries.
A brillant buy, well worth the money.
would make a nice gift for those ladies that love to shave...

A Good TV For A Good Price
Review of Philips 32PFL5522D by
Surj1
Advantages: Affordable, Good Variety of Connections, Simple to Set-Up
Disadvantages: Ineffective Surround Sound Mode
...The Philips 32PFL5522D is a LCD 32" HD ready TV. This TV is not one of Philips top of the range TV's from there new line. Saying that it does have some cool features, pixel plus being one of them and 2 HDMIs (for HD ready devices). You dont get the new Philips pixel perfect HD E-Processing or the new back lighting system which is introduced in the top range in this line. Then again the TV does only cost around £400-£450.
Philips though have produced a good looking TV, which sits on a black glass table top swivel stand. It has a glossy all black face with silver column and buttons to give it that extra touch.
The TV has speakers which are descreetly tucked in under the screen and the silver comumn has a neat built in loop to keep the cables and wires well hidden from view. This gives you an end result of a compact and organised TV...

Philips HS8060 and stand
Review of Philips HS 8060 COOL SKIN by
harry1511
Advantages: Nivea gel provides less irratation, Great battery life, Very close shave
Disadvantages: No built in trimmer, Travel pouch could have been better, Charging stand is large
...of a replacement head. You just unclip the normal shaving heads and clip on the trimmer. A small point but I'm always fearing losing it when I'm travelling. Which brings me to the travelling pouch, the old philips nivea razors came with a nice zip travel pouch. This one is a kind of wrap around effort that you wrap around the razor and accessories and close it with velcro a slight disappointment.
All in all a good razor and i would recommend it to anyone....

it's worth the getting used to
Review of Phillips Satinelle Sensitive Epilator by
lipgloss
Advantages: smoother legs, quick, convenient
Disadvantages: very painful and odd to start with
...Okay, so it's a hellish idea, plucking out your hairs (the Romans thought it was a must for everyone though), but hair removal seems to be one of the many demands society makes on us.
I got into the epilator because I had sensitive skin, and believe it or not, shaving is a LOT worse for me.
I had some problems with ingrowing hairs, which reached epidemic levels on the backs of my legs. So much so that i could hardly sit down.
I decided to try a more radical approach, more convenient than waxing and shaving.
I got a discount offer on the phillips Satinelle Sensitive, and went for it!
I'm glad I did.
It's like a lot of new inventions (ie- sonicare toothbrush, see my sister's ("nomad") review on it under electric toothbrushes) it takes some patience to get used to. Now I can epilate with the minimum of discomfort. When i first tried...

Philips HQ 7782 COOL SKIN
Review of Philips HQ 7782 COOL SKIN by
dwprices
Advantages: Nice and close
Disadvantages: Where to buy the sachets.
...Well I needed a new electric shaver, I do prefer wet shaving but with one thing and another it is not practical.
Been using a Remington shaver for a few years, it was ok, but needed new heads, and at nearly £30.00 I thought I would go looking for a new shaver.
I was taken by the Phillips Cool Skin range, which allow the user to use wet or dry, with the added bonus of a built in Moisturising shaving system.
I opted for the HQ7782 the top of the range coolskin shaver.
Its cordless with a charger base that plugs into your shaver socket in the bathroom. It has a handy LCD display to show how much battery is left and when to charge.
Its also easy to clean, after each shave wash it under the hot tap for about 30secs, and its clean, they recommend once a week to clean the heads off with the supplied brush.
The thing Iike best about...

This is what I call close
Review of Philips TT 2020 Bodygroom by
marcellep
Advantages: Look, Design, Cost,
Disadvantages: None
...Back in December 2005 I decided, well my wife decided that I should get my first ever electric shaver! I started looking through lots of sites and of course read a lot of reviews on all different shavers that where available and within the budget that I wanted to spend. After reading a few reviews I decided that I would definitely be buying a Philips of some sort but not sure what model. I had a budget of £50.00 and I wanted that to include delivery of the product.
**Why Philips? **
Now my reason that I chose Philips over all the others is that they seem to offer decent features for the price you pay. The overall look of there shavers seem to be somewhat different to what others offer to and of course they are affordable too. In addition to these reasons Philips tend to offer a 2 year warranty with there products so I thought what...

HQ6707? Not the Philips with the Highest IQ!
Review of Philips HQ 6707 COOL SKIN by
TheChocolateLady
Advantages: Rechargable, Wet/dry shaver, cream dispenser, good shave
Disadvantages: Doesn't have battery indicator lights, long charging time
...My husband has very sensitive skin, and has never been able to use any blade razors because of this. In addition, he has a fairly tough beard, which only exacerbates the problem. He's always liked Phillips shavers, and over the years we must have bought him about eight different models. We were thrilled when they started producing rechargeable models, and when they came out with ones that dispensed cream with the shave, we thought we had reached shaver nirvana. For some time my husband enjoyed his Philips HQ5620, but when it started to die, I decided I should get him a new Philips for his birthday. The requirements we had were that the new shaver would dispense moisturizing cream with his shave, be rechargeable and be waterproof so he could clean it under the tap (or use in the shower, if he so wished). After looking at several...
