Philips were good!!!
Review of Philips DVD625 by  JAGGER2K

Advantages: sexy slim design, plays vcds svcds mp3 cds and picture cd's
Disadvantages: only scart connection, Mine died quick

...I did not have any intentions to buy a DVD player and it had never crossed my mind as I had a Sony PS2 which used to work fine but them one day I saw a offer in the news paper advertising a Philips Freeview adapter for £50 when you buy something for £50 so I browsed the website to find something useful and I came across this DVD and I went for it not really knowing what was in it. BOX CONTENTS i opened the blue and white Philips box and check the content this is what was included for the £80 I spent on it. A Philips DVD625 DVD player A Remote control and Philips branded batteries (who would have guessed it) A GOLD PLATED scart lead and the stranded instruction manual and guarantee leaflet. SETUP Setting this DVD player was as simple as Putting the kettle on all that had to be done is one end or the scart lean in the back... Read review

A Brilliant Substitute ????
Review of Philips DVD625 by  n13roy

Advantages: Plays All Formats.........Ridiclous Low Price Now...
Disadvantages: None Really

...This little slimlne beauty was bought on impulse whilst Xmas shopping in Boots last year Well sort of.. We have a Sony SLV-900 as our main unit in the lliving room, which is combi unit of DVD/Video. Which to be honest,we have never been really happy with. Sony have fallen from grace in our household. So we were on the lookout for another unit and came across this Philipps DVD 625 at the then low price of £89:99. We read the box and could not believe that this machine does an awful lot more that our very expensive Sony. This Phillips DVD 625 plays everything.. CD CD/R CD/RW DVD DVD/R DVD/RW MP3 JPEG MPEG VCD SVCD I was half expecting in to have a Cash Dispenser too . So it was taken home lifted out of it's box and plugged in. So easy to set up. So easy to use.. Simple remote control Easy... Read review

Dvdtastic!
Review of Philips DVD625 by  NataliePhelan

Advantages: slim, compact, cheap
Disadvantages: None!

...The Philips dvd625 was bought as a christmas gift for my partner, only because it was on special offer at £45 in Boots when you spent over £40 on other items, at the time (December 2003) it was £90 everywhere else. The player is silver effect and is the smallest and most compact dvd player that ive come across. It came with a remote control and is very simple to use. It has the feature of re starting a dvd where you last left it, for those times when you dont have time to finish watching something, so that you can come back to the same place later without having to mess about searching for the place you were at. There are only 4 buttons on the front of the player itself and with these 4 buttons you can control the player completely, theres the standby/on button, a play button, a s top button and the open/close button for the dvd... No Fillip From Philips
Review of Philips PCRW 4816K by  RayMan_UK

Advantages: Ultra Fast Read, ReWrite, Write, Underrun Protection, Nero5.5, 2yr Warranty, Easy Install Wizard, Sound Quality.
Disadvantages: Worked Well For A Few Days, Wouldn't Write Data, Specification Discrepancies, Nero Bundled Version.

...§~§~§~§~§~§~§~§ This is an ultra fast CD-ReWriter, at a very reasonable price. I was running mine on a lower specification than it says on the box, ALTHOUGH the set up installation wizard, states my specification is acceptable. Hhhmm. That could be why it wasn't up to the tasks. By rights, it should have been! Another reason it COULD have not been the writer for me, is the bundled software. I say this after reading some reviews concerning CD-ReWriters with their software conflicts. Bundled software isn't the full product. Plus the software used by Philips slowed the write speed down to unacceptable levels. I was unhappy also, that the time it reported the CD-R as "failed write", was after the CD had already been ruined by written data that far into the disc. These things didn't happen immediately, at first things seemed good. Then I... Read review

Philips 42PFL7662 - "Complete and utter crap".
Review of Philips 47PFL7662D by  ACH1969

Advantages: None - it's a worthless piece of junk.
Disadvantages: Television doesn't work, Manufacturer is completely uninterested in resolving problems.

...Buying this TV was the worst mistake I've ever made in my life. I had it less than a month before it developed a fault which made it unwatchable. Philips have had this TV back for repair 3 times (the current time they have had it for 3 weeks and 1 day and still counting) and every time it is returned with the same fault. Philips customer service is absolutely hopeless and not interested in the slightest. I even got Jennifer the Philips customer complaints manager to admit that their customer service had been "sh*t" (and yes I am quoting). I've taken 6 days off work so far to have this TV repeatedly collected and delivered by ANOVO - Philips 3rd party repair outfit (complete bunch of cowboys). Neither Philips, ANOVO nor The Flat TV Company (whom I bought the TV from) are in any way interested in the problems I have been... Read review

philips she9500 get awesome after run-in trashing
Review of Philips SHE 9500 by  TheMatrixExpert

Advantages: sparkling all round; bass rivals high specced floorstanders
Disadvantages: asymmetrical cable, the right ear bud cable being longer than the left one

...I needed to buy new earphones for my meizu m6 sl miniplayer, as its stock earphones cable eventually broke, and after just spending one day walking about in london without music, it highlighted how hooked I was on the awesome sound the player and earphones delivered, considering I was listening to stock earphones after all, the meizu earphones pt850. so, behind waterloo station there's a street market, and the urge to buy earphones was overwhelming me; fiddling with the player in my pocket and missing the surprisingly awesome earphones it came with, I went back to the owner of a stall, to whom I spoke the day before, to find out about the price for the black (yes, no white earphones cables for me, are you kidding me, rofl) philips she9500 (£15), all while he was still preparing the stall (about 8:10am on the way to the office) and asked... Philips lack technical quality in poor product
Review of Philips DVDR 3380 by  honest.reviewer

Advantages: Plays DivX media
Disadvantages: Very Slow, doesn't record own brand media and NO customer support

...Please read the email below sent to Philips customer care as this explains most of the problems encountered with this product. Though I received a confirmation receipt informing me I would have a reply within 4 working days, it has now been 14 working days and still no response. And no, I am not going to ring their 090 number to speak to a customer service adviser as this is just another way of taking more money from the consumer. -------------------------------------------------------------- ----- SUBJECT "Recording issues when using Philips +RW Disc Media ("Update" message showing in LED Display)" - from your FAQ's. Dear Sir/Madam I'm absolutely shocked/gob-smacked:- how can a company of your magnitude and experience release an untested product onto the market? Brought this DVD Recorder as I have always trusted... Read review

THE PHILIP DVD WONDER MACHINE.
Review of Philips DVP520 by  apatra

Advantages: LASTS LONG WITH BRIGHT PICTURES.
Disadvantages: SOME TIMES DOES NOT READ DISK AND NOT ENOUGH FEATURES ON TECHIES.

...The Philip DVD DVP520 has served quite long in my household and still showing more promise on serving again. I will actually say that the electronic giants PHILIP brought about the innovation of the compact disk because they were the first to put the use of the compact into reality and I still hail them for that. This is a DVD that has a lot of functions and really excites me as a user. It has a sharp vision and a beautiful colour that makes the picture bright and also with a screen menu. It is an easy to operate device and when you get it don't forget to read the manual very well because electronic products, is well understood when the manual is read very well and it also helps in some trouble shootings. It also has numerous screen menus that enable... Read review

Philips Go Gear 1GB Audio/Video Player
Review of Philips GoGear SA5115 1 GB by  ICE-COLD

Advantages: Easy To Use Menu, High Video Quality
Disadvantages: None

...Philips Go Gear 1GB Audio/Video Player The Philips Go Gear Audio/Video player is a great product with many features. Transferring music to your Philips Go Gear is so simple. First you have to install windows media player on your computer. Now you've installed windows media player you can transfer all of your favourite songs to your Philips Go Gear. As well as transferring music you can also transfer videos to your Go Gear. The video quality is excellent and probably the best feature about this Product. The Go Gear player its self is very light and easy to use. The looks and feel of this Go Gear are also excellent. The design of a product is always very important and this Go Gear looks smashing. The Go Gear is very durable and practically unbreakable. You can also store photos on the Go Gear which is always handy. There is not much you... Read review
