Philips Senseo Coffee Maker - a coffee lovers heaven
Advantages: Perfect coffee at the press of a button
Disadvantages: Pods can be hard to find at times
...when my dear husband walked in with a little present for me ( bless him!!) - a Phillips Senseo coffee maker.
It didn't take long for me to realise that my search was over and I had found the coffee machine of my dreams.
A coffee machine that looks good, is incredibly easy to use, very easy to clean and most important makes a perfect cup of coffee every time at the touch of a button.
Six years on my senseo is still going strong ( and believe me it is VERY well used), my only problem was when I dropped the water reservoir on the stone floor and broke it. I was able to get a replacement from Phillips for £10 and I just about managed to get through the week it took to arrive without my Senseo coffee.
The Senseo coffee machine is made by Phillips with an input from the coffee makers, Douwe Egberts. There are four varieties...

Senseo Coffee Maker
Advantages: Quick, easy to use, price
Disadvantages: None
...My husband bought me the Senseo coffee maker for a Christmas present 2006, I must say it was one of the best things he has ever bought me.I love my coffee and have used it most days and more than once a day since. It is still going strong!
The Senseo doesn't have all the fancy bits to it that other coffee machines do, but it makes a nice cup of coffee and is very easy to use. The coffee comes out hot, but not boiling (my mum was never impressed with it when she came over as she likes her coffees scolding). I have occasionally had trouble with leaks, but not very often. All in all, I like it. Its a good price and makes nice coffee, itt is also easy to clean, which is another bonus for me.
You can buy the pods easily in supermarkets or online, where you get quite a wide selection. Although, the pods can be quite expensive in...

Delicious Coffee - in 30 Seconds!
Advantages: Quick, easy and a breeze to clean
Disadvantages: Cups of coffee made are rather small
...PHILIPS SENSEO COFFEE MAKER
Being a student guarantees one thing: late nights. When the time comes to write those impossible essays and reports, you had better have a jug of coffee handy. I used to use the drip coffee maker downstairs, and fill up the jug to the top to do me for the night. Now, the problem there is cold coffee (since the hotplate is downstairs), and stale coffee. It was drinkable, but certainly not enjoyable.
I should firstly give a brief history of my love of coffee. Five years ago Starbucks opened up in my town. I was probably one of its first customers, buying up new bags of coffee each week to sample. Each visit, I would listen closely to the staff there as they discussed each blend. After much coffee drinking, I ended up working there for two years, and my love of coffee grew, as I became a coffee master...

Great Coffee Maker
Advantages: Good Coffee, Stylish, Very Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Very little
...We won tickets to the BBC Good Homes exhibition at the NEC in May, we ended up buying a Staffordshire Garden Furniture Pagoda and a Phillips Senseo Coffee Maker.
Unlike the Pagoda we took the coffee maker home!
My wife is the coffee lover - I personally do not like coffee at all.
We got it for the show price with free coffee pods and mugs for £40.
It is blue and stylish and just over 1 foot high.
It uses coffee pods rather than granuals, these if you like are coffee bags.
Usage is very easy, the pods go in a holder under the lid, the reservoir at the back holds enough water for 5 or 6 cups.
Normal usage is wait to boil with the correct pods, put the cups under the spout and press the correct button for the number of pods (one pod button and a two pod button)
To make a mug of coffee my wife uses 1 decaf. pod...

I do love this baby......
Advantages: Great coffee, looks good update-durable
Disadvantages: Larger than many coffee machines, Has no timer.
...My first impression of the Philips Cafe Delice was it seemed to be a little larger than my old averaged size coffee maker. Before using the machine for the first time, I decided to read the directions to see what kind of pe-cleaning and set up I would need. The coffee machine also required a bit of minor assembling.(in the filter basket and water chamber)
When this was done I then ran a water-only cycle through the machine before making the first brew as recommended.
Reading the directions is highly recommended ,as is with any new appliance or tool.By doing this you will realize that the funny white fuzzy shaped thing is for. It turns out that this machine has a water filter as well. This filtering is achieved by placing that fuzzy white thing into a plastic holder and then snapping it into the water chamber. If you dont intend to use...

COFFEE STAINED WORKTOPS.
Advantages: It was the right colour for my kitchen.
Disadvantages: Spills everywhere.
...“Coffee anyone”, I asked like the real hostess, proud of my new acquisition. It smelt really nice, freshly brewed and I was out to impress. No peasants instant coffee here. This was the real thing made with real coffee grains in my new Bright yellow coffee maker that blended in with my bright yellow and dark blue colour scheme.
I thought it was a pretty cool gadget. It had a makers name that I trusted and I thought that I could not go far wrong with a purchase at £12.00 equivalent. Coffee makers tend to be on the cheap side in France, as they play an essential role in entertaining where instant coffee is not really an option.
I took this little beastie out of its box, glanced at the instructions briefly (which were full and complete although idiots like me think they know what they are doing and tend to throw them away the first...

You know it makes Senseo.
Advantages: Great tasting coffee in 90 seconds !
Disadvantages: A little bit on the expensive side.
...When I recently received a phone call stating that I'd won a prize in a raffle I'd entered, I was fairly excited. When I found out that I'd won a coffee machine, I was a bit disappointed. (We already have a coffee maker that we rarely use, due to the effort of getting it out the cupboard, setting it up and cleaning it afterwards !).
What I wasn't expecting, however, was the "Phillips Senseo" - the most up to date coffee machine available.
The Senseo hit the shelves in the beginning of July, and is a joint product between electronic manufacturers Phillips and Douwe Egberts, who produce coffee. Their aim is to provide great tasting coffee in a quick and convenient way.
Upon opening the box, you are presented with the coffee machine, a few loose parts and a bag of coffee pods.
The machine itself measures approximately 13" x 12" x...

Makes Senseo
Advantages: Speedy cup of delicious coffee
Disadvantages: Not cheap
...does its stuff.
Philips also have their own website www.philips.com which I should imagine features all their products but am sure will have a spot for their coffee maker should you feel the need to explore further.
If I’ve missed out anything you need to know, drop me a line in my guestbook and I’ll edit if I can find out anything else.
Happy coffee drinking!...

Anyone for coffee???
Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: a bit expensive
...After much discussion and many advertisements watched ! we decided to purchase a Philips Senseo Coffee Maker and boy do we wish we had sooner.
Great tasting coffee in 90 seconds.
A machine so easy to clean.
The great smell of fresh coffee being made.
For a coffee addict like myself this is the ideal present,a bit more expensive than other coffee machines but well worth it.
The coffee pods supplied with it didn't last long and we did have some trouble finding more(eventually tracked some down in Tescos!!).
possibly they aren't widely available in Scotland yet!
Friends and relatives have all commented on the delicious coffee they have sampled here-no complaints either.!
So easy to use -especially when requiring a cup of coffee in the morning when not quite awake!
Why pay coffee shop prices when you can enjoy the same quality...

/mister Maker!
Advantages: Jack likes it
Disadvantages: i am not too keen
...Mister Maker - Cbeebies....
Mister Maker is a programme that is shown on the Cbeebies channel (614 sky or 71 digibox). It is repeated twice a day and is shown pretty much 7 days a week, meaning we have seen this show a lot. The show, as with all programmes shown on the Cbeebies channel, is aimed at small children of pre-school age and just over meaning it is watched by children from 0 to 4.
The show is, as its name would suggest, about a man who makes different things and a lot of it is very simple to make using things that one would have around the home. Mister Maker himself is a 20 something year old man who is a little bit wacky and slightly annoying.
The set of the show is all very brightly coloured and appealing to the younger child for this reason. I have made a couple of the things shown on the programme with Jack...
