Philips Aluminium quality juicer
Advantages: Healthy living, quick simple design
Disadvantages: blade removal, a little bulky
...Excellent item, it extracts all the juice you can get. However the blade/filter section can be difficult to remove when it has been used. The pulp is excellent for composting because it is reduced to very fine matter that can be broken down very easily. The whole item is generally easy to clean and is stable when in use. Waste container is easy to empty and collection jug is easy to clean too. The aluminium finish is very chic, looking good in your kitchen. I particularly like the rubber sucker feet on the juicer, these prevent the juicer sliding on your work top. I have seen many different juicers before i bought this one and i would say overall it is the best one that i could find. well done Philips for an innovative item that serves a healthy and valuable purpose with style. Recommended to all thos who want to make their healthy...

5-a-day The Easy Way...
Advantages: Easy to use, quick, easy to clean, tasty results
Disadvantages: Initial cost, and mesh filter can be fiddly to clean
...Once I'd made up my mind I wanted a juicer I couldn't wait to get one. I'd done a bit of research on the internet, but to be honest it left me pretty clueless. There were so many to choose from. All I knew is it had to be dishwasher safe - I hate washing up!!
I came across the Phillips Juicer (HR1861) in the Argos book. I had it in my mind with juicers, as with many appliances, that you get what you pay for. This juicer was priced at £99.99 on the Argos website, but it was shown as having £25.00 off, making it £74.99 (this price is still correct at the time of writing this 08/12/05). "Bargain" I thought. Not long later, I'd been to my local Argos and bought it.
The Looks
*************
This juicer looks classy. I didn't want a white plastic one, as not only do I think they look cheap, but experience with white appliances...

Philips Blender
Advantages: Looks great, top quality, safe, large capacity
Disadvantages: None
...there are a number of different colours available. As a whole, the unit looks very good. The handle is very large, so that you can get a good grip on it. This is helpful, if the cannister is very full and therefore heavy. This is possibly the smartest looking blender on the market.
*Manual/Instructions*
In my experience, Philips have always provided a superb instruction booklet with all of their products. The manual for this particular blender is very well laid out and organised. It easy to identify your problem in the manual and find a solution to it. The contents have been logically organised which makes life very easy for the user. Each of the different functions are clearly described in the manual and pretty much everything you need to know about the blender. The font is very clear and easy to read and the text is broken down into...

The Juice Master
Advantages: Juices most things whole
Disadvantages: Having to peel Oranges
...I like gadgets, some things I buy (the ice cream maker, candy flosss maker, milk shake maker etc)get used once and put into the cupboard and forgotten. I'd fancied having a juicer for a while, new gadget and I like fresh juices. I was in Makro and saw the Phillips HR1858 on Special ,it was about £50 (incl VAT), the list price is £99.99 although you can get for around £65. It was a pure impulse buy.
So my new toy and I arrived home together, only pausing to call in at Saindsbury's, on the way home,to get some fruit to juice. Like al ittle kid I ripped open the box to get at the contents.
It came with what looked like a really useful instruction book, fairly well written, although there were acouple of extra bits of paper with two lines of information on each. It ws if they'd written the instruction book, had it printed...

Fantastic Juicer
Advantages: Easy to clean
Disadvantages: None that I have come across
...Fantastic product. So easy to use and clean afterwards. The product comes apart and so each part can be cleaned thoroughly.
All the sharp parts are nicely tucked away within the product so there's no need to worry about losing your fingers! It doesn't make much noise either.
After owning many juicers, this is the only one that has actually never broken down! Philips is a good make who make sturdy and good-looking products and offer good product warranties 'just in case'.
When I bought mine it also came with a great juicer receipe book for some tasty healthy juicies.
It's quite compact compared to other juicers on the market and so doesn't look out of place in my small kitchen.
Highly recommended!...

#250? - Overrated!
Advantages: Acknowledge I've overrated, at ease, I use a strong range of scores
Disadvantages: GameFAQS top ten list quality filler - I'm only really doing this for 30CP
...I'm not a fan of top whatever lists, and I loathe the term "overrated" as I find it to be overused (although it springs to mind when I am on sites like this). For my 250th review (or not-really-a-review) however, I decided to compile a top ten list of products that I've reviewed which I felt I have overrated, and contemplated taking a star off the rating. There have been reviews that I've gone back to and changed the rating - these would be next in line, though my laziness means I might never get round to these.
10. Metallica - Ride The Lightning.
Production values aside, the second half of this album is average compared to the first - I wouldn't classify Ride The Lightning as a consistent, and thus not a classic, album.
****
9. Valkyrie Profile for PlayStation.
More from the dungeons and towns (and maybe even the endings) would not...

Philips Hand Blender
Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review
.... The shape of the handle and the material that it is made of also prevent any chance of losing grip of the blender. The handle is rubber so you have a very good grip on the machine.
VALUE FOR MONEY
I would certainly not recomend this to anyone. Using my other Philips blender as an example, I will try to justify my lack of enthusiasm for this product. To begin with, at around £35 it is very expensive for a blender with its limited capabilities. It only has a 300w motor, so it takes an awful lot longer to blend any mixtures that are thick or are very hard. I would suggest the other Philips blender that I have reviewed, if ou are looking for a blender at the moment....
