The Philips SPC 200N PC Webcam
Advantages: Relatively cheap and robust
Disadvantages: Poor picture quality
...The Philips SPC 200N PC Webcam, I only recommend it as a budget camera!
The Camera's User guide is VERY easy to follow - only two pages of instruction in each of 8 languages! Installation takes minutes.
Camera (about 4X6X8 cm and as light as a feather) plugs into a USB so does not require an extra power supply. It is very robust, but being so light it tends to be dragged to the side by the weight of its own wire!
Flat base so cannot be mounted onto a laptop or speakers. Looks just like the image on the box?
Picture quality is painfully bad, and cannot cope with ANY movement, but most budget webcams are like that?
Microphone not inbuilt but a massive one you have to keep right in front of your moth is included.
Software you can use to take videos with the camera is included in the installation CD, but video quality is...

Samsung G600
Advantages: Stylish, Radio
Disadvantages: Camera
...The G600 is one of the new phones from the Samsung line. With the company being known to have great phones and be famously free with contracts nationwide I couldn't help but get this as my most recent upgrade.
Contents
When purchasing the G600 you get several different items within the box. Starting with a 1GB memory card which normally retails at £10 this is the first bargain. Next you have a Bluetooth headset with the Samsung logo. Most of these will start at £15 if they are branded. You get earphones with a power part in the middle to pick up local radio signals, a charger for your phone and your Bluetooth headset, software CD which serves as an instruction manual and links your phone to your computer so you can download music, photos etc. This leads to the final item - a USB cable so you can connect the two.

Its Not Philips Its Mine
Advantages: Good quality, good value
Disadvantages: None yet
...In the great story that is the development of video recorders Philips were one of the pioneers. Whilst Sony developed the Betamax system JVC and Panasonic and others developed VHS and Philips had a system called V2000. One of ironies is that both Betamax and V2000 were technically superior formats for video it was VHS which became the platform, a success built almost entirely on the back selling and market development the manufacturers did on getting films onto VHS. It must though be galling for the likes of Philips and Sony that they had failed to recoup all their development costs.
Both companies do now produce VHS recorders and a good fist they make of it too. The video is well made and solid and finished in a neat silver colour to match our TV and DVD player. The display is quite clear but some of the LED writing looks a bit thin...

U600
Advantages: Very slim and stylish
Disadvantages: Browsing files makes it very slow.
...The Samsung U600 is the slimmest slide phone, even slimmer than the trendy D900 which is now replaced by u600.
I bought mine for 85 pounds which is a dark blue colour.
It has an amazing 3.2 mega pixel camera if you look how thin the phone is, with flash and 4x digital zoom. If you take a picture of a business card it recognizes all the field and enter them automatically, this is a new feature. It also records videos in mp4 format and the maximum video size is 352 x 240 which is good.
It has a 2.2 inch TFT 262k colour screen which has great graphics because I downloaded 'Horton hears a who', converted it into MP4 format and saved it on my phone to see if it works and it worked. The movie has exactly the same size as the phone screen and has very good graphics. I also downloaded a trailer and when I played on my phone it looks...

Samsung U600
Advantages: Looks good, easy to use
Disadvantages: Scratches easily, turns itself off randomly
...I got this phone about 11 months ago on an upgrade with T Mobile. I had no idea what phone I wanted but when I explained the functions that I needed, the Samsung U600 was suggested to me.
It is a nice looking phone, grey, small and thin, you can carry it in your pocket without it being too bulky. It is a slide phone with a large screen. The number buttons are under the screen and are displayed when you slide the phone down. The menu and call and hang up buttons are touch screen.
To describe some of the features that the phone has-
Camera- It has a 3.2 mega pixel camera which is very good quaility, however it annoys me how it takes a while for the camera to capture the picture before it actually takes it. You have to have a steady hand and be patient! It does however have a digital zoom and flash which is handy. The video...

Samsung SGH-U600
Advantages: slim body, SOS message is brilliant idea
Disadvantages: no infra red
...This phone has a slim body but reversed its thinness, this phone has modern features such as the SOS message, Mobile Tracker, and TV Output.
Aspects of design that looks stylish and modern is one of the attraction of this phone, apart from some other kinds of capabilities on this phone. Although this phone only uses the display type TFT 262 thousand colors, and screen size 34 x 46 mm, but the image sharpness and clarity of the screen remains on guard well. There is another uniqueness that is, the phone screen can be used as a mirror to reflect your image of yourself at this phone in standby mode.
The phone is quite user friendly. you can adjust the lighting display interface of this phone to suit the light conditions outside.
The image quality of the SGH-U600 is pretty good because of the 3.2 MP camera. You can edit the photos...

Samsung G600
Advantages: Camera quality
Disadvantages: none as yet
...I recently decided to change from a pay as you talk to a contract pay as you go tariff. Looking at the phones available, i saw the G600 and was impressed by the look of the phone, so i risked it knowing not a lot about it and the risk paid off.
Physically, the phone is very classy and sleek. It is a very smart phone and i have received numerous complimnts about the phone from people at work and in my family. My brother liked it that much that he decided to buy one. The screen is quite big so the menu and other features are easily read, but it doesnt look to big. It isnt bulky or big like i thought it may look.
The camera is the most amazing feature about the phone. The 5megapixel photos are truly phenomenal, i didnt even bother taking a camera on a night out as the picture quality is of such a high standard that it was unnecessary...

The Samsung G600
Advantages: Nice look to it, good backgrounds, lots of features
Disadvantages: Poor quality camera really lets this phone down, bad software for PC
...Having only ever owned a Samsung phone throughout the many phones I have owned in my life, I decided to carry on the tradition by buying the Samsung G600. It has served me well and has a number of really good features.
One of the best little features I found with this phone was that there are a number of nice backgrounds preloaded onto the phone that can be changed in the settings menu. I currently have the puma background that shows up in the main menu behind all the features on the phone like messages. I also like the espresso theme but I find the puma background the nicest.
Between the phones memory and the sim card, 1000 contacts can be stored in your phonebook, and 200 messages in total can be stored in the text message folder. To be honest I really dislike the fact that you can only store 200 messages, as I will never fill up...

SPC - Increase profit by reducing waste
Advantages: Improves profit by reducing business waste
Disadvantages: Needs a little application
...What is SPC?
Statistical Process Control has been around for many years and was first introduced by Walter Shewhart at the Bell Telephone Laboratories and led to his book, "Economic Control of Quality of Manufactured Product", first published in the early 1930's. Then it was exported to Japan in the 1950's by W. Edwards Deming who initiated wide scale statistical training. The rest is a very successful history.
It is a philosophy that uses statistical techniques in all areas of a company for continuous improvement by reducing variation in all processes by focusing on defect prevention (before it occurs) rather than detection (after the fact inspection).
Essentially a preventive technique for business improvement, it targets process variation thereby reducing waste and any associated costs by process monitoring and control...

U600 freeze!
Advantages: Gorgeous, thin, light weight!
Disadvantages: Freezes during texting, turns off and then eventually is coput!
...I loved my U600 when I first got it. It is a very nice looking phone, it is very thin and strong and although I had a case on it, it hardly looked used. However after a few months it started to freeze whilst I was sending text messages. It would switch itself off and restart itself again and so I eventually couldn't send text messages because the phone would switch off every time I tried. It would allow me to make calls but if, like me, you mostly text then this became terribly problematic for me. I was not the only person I know that had had this problem with their U600, infact everybody I know that had one had said that they were experiencing similar problems, even if not as extreme as mine my friends were still experiencing the minor problems that I started with. The phone also had limited memory unless you bought a memory card. I...
