Straight off the bat if you don't have a good level of concentration then you don't want to be watching this movie. It's one of those films where the slightest of distractions could affect the whole outcome of the movie for you as the viewer. Phillip Island: Penguinland

Advantages: beautiful scenery, nice and compact and lots to see and do.
Disadvantages: boring drive getting there! Can be blustery and cold

...When you think about it, Phillip Island isn?t really an island. If the water level were another 5 metres lower, the difference between San Remo and Phillip Island would be a wide beach, and no silly bridge linking the fishing town on the ?mainland? and the ?island? 500 yards away on the other side would exist. Unfortunately, cars don?t take to water too kindly, and so the formality of crossing the bridge must be undertaken. As far as bridges go, it?s kind of pretty, but the view is better. Phillip Island, as it currently exists, is about a two-hour drive south-east of Melbourne, though of course this depends on whether or not you get stuck in the South-Eastern Carpark, I mean Arterial. In which case it?ll take you about 5 hours. If you live in a convenient part of the eastern suburbs, as I do, it shouldn?t take too long at all...

Phillip Island Penguin Parade

...Phillip Island is a small island and nature reserve off the coast of South Australia, reached by bridge. It's about 140 km from Melbourne. On the island you can see koalas, kangaroos and the main attraction, the Penguin Parade on Summerland Beach. Every day at sunset, the Little Penguins (also known as Fairy Penguins)because of their diminitive size, return to the beach. As my husband is a penguin fanatic, it was one of the places on our list to visit during our trip there. There is a visitor centre at the top of the beach with details of all the world's penguins, there is a gift shop too and rangers who can answer questions about everything you wanted to know about penguins and more.
