...Note: This is my boyfriends shaver - I wrote the review while he dictated. I don't need to use a shaver (...at least I think I don't...) I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday as an upgrade to a previous Philips shaver. It was on offer in Boots at the time and I paid about £140 as well as generating some Boots loyalty points. ~~~~~~~ The Unit ~~~~~~~ At the time it was the 2nd from the top of the range - the top of the range was the nivea moisturise one. It also has an edge trimmer and the boyfriend does not bother with moisturiser (!) so this model is sufficient. The shaver is about 6 inches tall and about 2 inches wide so it fits in the palm of your hand. Philips Electric Shaver

Advantages: Built In Conditioner, quiet, stylish, effective
Disadvantages: Bit of a hassle to clean

...and colours. The feel of it is very comfortable on the hand and is easy to grip, due to slight ridges around the back of the shaver. This also makes it very comfortable and easy to hold, which i would say is one of the most important factors in something that is to be used daily. Also, obviously, it must be good at its job. Which this shaver is. It did a very good job, and was the closest shave i have ever had. I was previously using a gillette mach 3 razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance. I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin...

...Excellent item, it extracts all the juice you can get. However the blade/filter section can be difficult to remove when it has been used. The pulp is excellent for composting because it is reduced to very fine matter that can be broken down very easily. The whole item is generally easy to clean and is stable when in use. Waste container is easy to empty and collection jug is easy to clean too. The aluminium finish is very chic, looking good in your kitchen. I particularly like the rubber sucker feet on the juicer, these prevent the juicer sliding on your work top. Philips - Easy Peasy!

Advantages: Excellent Playback Quality, Recording and Easy!
Disadvantages: Zoom doesn't go away with the clear button, a little expensive

...::::INTRODUCTION:::: I was origionally looking for a Philips DVD Player but decided "why not get a recorder instead to replace the old VCR?", so i set off to the shops, went in ASDA and seen this stylish little machine on the shelf, picked it up and went to the till to purchase it! It only cost £98 ;-) ::::SETTING IT UP:::: The Words "Easy Peasy" comes to mind when setting up this Recorder/Player. The manual isn't at all confusing (although it doesn't state how long warranty is, but ASDA do a year warranty anyway and you can ring Philips if you really want to find out!). Switch off all your equitment, choose a connection mehthod (i went for Scart from Sky Box into The Recorder and then from Recorder to TV), then set it up using the on screen instructions and wooolah!
