...I bought this product with some trepidation after reading other reviews of epilators and having a relatively low threshold for pain! I saw it on offer half price so thought I'd just give it a go. I used it on my legs first of, which I had previously been waxing and found it quick and almost painless. I must admit I thought the other reviews were exaggerating the pain a little. However, I then tried it on my underarms which I had been shaving for years and it was agony! I could hardly finish epilating, but glad I made myself as after a few more goes, the hair got noticeably thinner and it is now relatively painless. The skin is left completely smooth, and the best thing is that you can epilate on much shorter hairs than waxing so there is no need to wait for hairs to grow long! Advantages: It gets rid of hair quickly by the roots, making your hair grow back much slower than when shaving.

...I bought this product last august, on a half price offer from boots. Having never bought an electric shaver or epilater before I took advantage of the offer because this product came with an additional shaver head as well as the epilater head. It is very easy to use and the epilation is not painful on legs after the first couple of times, even without the additional ice pack it hardly hurts. However I would recommend to always use the ice pack on the bikini line as this can bring tears to my eyes!! The results are well worth the pain as the skin is so smooth after use. I find I get at least 7-10 days before i have to do my legs again and bikini line lasts even longer! The instructions are fairly easy to read. ...Having spent a fortune on waxing in the past, I decided to buy an epilator. I chose this one as I've trusted Philips as a brand in the past and it was a reasonable price for what you got (I purchased it for £55 in Argos). For this price you get: Ceramic epilation system, Acitve massage system, Soothing ice pack glove, Detachable shaving head, Sensitive area cap, Exfoliating body puff, storage pouch Cleaning brush. The epilator and shaving head's are washable. I would recommend that you start off on the first speed if you've never done this before and if you are not particularly brave then pop the sensitive area cap on as this decreases the width of the epilator head. The cooling glove is also ideal for dulling the pain, all you need to do is pop the ice pack in the freezer for a couple of hours before you use it...

I haven't seen this specific model for sale in shops recently but at the time I bought it, it was retailing for between £35-£40. ...If you're looking to buy an epilator shop around. There are some good prices to be had out there, online and in the shops. I had mine from Curry's at an offer price of £30. Boots often have offers on epilators too, perhaps not this make, but still lots of offers. I have tried a few epilators and this is definitely the best option. The ice pack is a godsend! Epilating is painful and if anyone tells you different then they are lying. However, the level of pain depends on your pain threshold and I suppose whether you have waxed/ epilated before. The ice pack doesn't stop the pain completely but it does numb a little and puts slight pressure on the area immediately after epilation; this helps. The exfoliator is included, even though you can pick these up for 50p in Tesco. Personally, I find it's easier to epilate if you haven...
