A durable, cheap electric toothbrush

Advantages: Cleaner teeth, easy brushing
Disadvantages: Needs cleaning regularly, expensive outlay

...My fiancée bought me my Philips Jordan Sensiflex electric toothbrush a few months ago, and I can honestly say I don't know what I did without it. Actually I can - I used a naff standard toothbrush. A lot of people have told me lately how nice my teeth are, and I swear that it's because I'm using the electric toothbrush. Sadly I can't offer any comparisons between other electric models, as this is my first. But I can certainly say that this one, which I believe cost my fiancée around £30, is perfectly adiquate and I wouldn't advise anyone to spend any more! The toothbrush comes with an electric charger stand, which can be plugged into a shaver socket. If, like me, you don't have a shaver socket in your bathroom, places like Boots sell converters for around £2.50 which will allow you to plug it into a standard electric socket. Mine...

Electric Toothbrushes - Part 2 -- Good Vibrations

Advantages: Electric toothbrush that is recommended by dentists that has all the bells and whistles, and because it has been superceded is £15. It gives a brilliant brush.
Disadvantages: Has been superceded, long charging time (but that is the case with all brushes), shape of brush head, the plug, maybe too powerful.

This also makes it very comfortable and easy to hold, which i would say is one of the most important factors in something that is to be used daily. Also, obviously, it must be good at its job. Which this shaver is. It did a very good job, and was the closest shave i have ever had. I was previously using a gillette mach 3 razor and shaving foam. The Philips shaver eliminates the need for shaving foam, which i always found an annoyance. I think that the reason for the closeness is the fact that each of the heads vibrates/girates and moves independantly, meaning that they can move accordingly to each person's individual features. Moving around the jaw bone and cheek bones, means that it gets alot closer to the skin...

Philips Sensiflex - Takes some getting used to, but it's incredibly kind to teeth

Advantages: Leaves teeth feeling cleaner than many of its rivals. Two-minute timer to alert you when you've reached the ideal brushing time. Pressure warning which stops you pressing too hard on your teeth and gums. Nice looking! Gentle but effective.
Disadvantages: None.

...My previous toothbrush was so effective at viciously ricocheting around my mouth that the gentle method of the Philips Sensiflex came as quite a surprise. If you're used to harsher, more old-fashioned electric toothbrushes then at first it doesn't seem like it could possibly be doing its job properly, but stick with it and the results speak for themselves. It didn't make my teeth any whiter, but it made them feel cleaner as the brushing process seem to go deeper into them. The Philips Sensiflex has a number of useful features, including a timer which alerts you when you've reached the desired two minutes of brushing, and a pressure monitor which warns you if you're pressing too hard on your teeth and gums. The brush is lilac and white and therefore looks pretty good in any bathroom, too! It is comfortable to hold, easy to use...

  SPARKLY CHOPPERS FOR A TENNER

Advantages: Only £10 (at the moment!), better than a normal toothbrush,
Disadvantages: Rather white looking! Holes in brush end that let saliva flood in!!!

...with my chocolate consumption! So after standing in Boots for around an hour (these things can never be rushed!), I found it! THE PRODUCT ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Philips Sensi Flex is not the most handsome looking toothbrush, in fact he is a rather plain affair ~ white plastic casing with a lime green (eek!) button and brush base. I know there are other colour buttons around, but in Boots you don’t get that much choice! But colour aside, I was quite impressed with his features ~ not only did he vibrate (surprisingly enough!), his head also bends back so that you don’t press too hard (on your teeth and gums causing damage, just in case you are getting side-tracked!). I assume Philips don’t like to get involved in the dentistry of the brush and prefer to stick to the electrics, as the brush itself is manufactured by Jordans...

A month ago, after reading an opinion written by Tracey (aka moose), I decided to try one of these for myself and after a browse of the shelves in Boots, I opted for the “Philips Sensi-flex”. I purchased this from Boots at an amazing price of just £9.99 recently reduced from £19.99. The toothbrush unit stands at around 4 inches tall, 6 inches tall when the head is placed. The unit is rather plain looking in white with thin lime green rubber for the on/off switches and where the head bends.
