Therapy? - Crooked Timber

Advantages: Catchy riffs and grooves.
Disadvantages: Could be doing with a few more tracks after a 3 year break

...After a 3 year break, re-grouping, re-focusing and re-energising as they put it, Therapy? are back, and dare I say it, better than ever, with "Crooked Timber" - a follow up from 2006's "One Cure Fits All". An album they themselves describe as focusing more on rhythm than melody, it is certainly a step away from their previous rough and raw releases of "Suicide Pact - You First" and more recently "Never Apologise Never Explain" from 2004. Plus it advertises itself as being a part of Doves protect and repair range, with this particular product being called their 'Daily Therapy 2in1'. It claims to be an all in one essential cleaning and protecting shampoo. As I wash my hair almost every day this seemed like it might be a perfect solution to save me a little time but still look after my hair. In terms of using it, the liquid itself is a creamy pearlescent colour, quite thick and very rich. It smells fresh and clean, there is no pretty fragrance for me to describe. ...This review is on the Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera. I brought this lip treatment a while ago and i use it all the time, all throughout the day. It is petroleum jelly and is amazing! I mentioned in a previous that the Palmers Lip Butter was my favourite, but i have to say that this has taken over. Aloe Vera is very good for softening the skin. It is a natural ingredient that soothes and calms. My lips are the driest and always get chapped. It doesn't help that i bite my lips as well. The first use of this lip therapy will soften your lips and instantly make the look visibily kissable. It works by softening the dry skin and this makes it look like it isn't there anymore. I would highly recommend this product as the value for money is brilliant. It lasts for a long time and the feel of it on your lips is so smooth...

...For some reason, everybody sniggers when you mention vaseline!! It is a wonderful skin care treatment and the Lip Therapy product is fantastic. HISTORY +++++++ Vaseline is petroleum jelly. Petroleum Jelly was first discovered in 1859 in America, apparantly it caused problems for the oil riggers as it caused the rigs to cease up, but they loved using it on their hands!! A chemist named Cheesebourogh discovered the healing properties of Petroleum Jelly and opened a factory in 1870 to make Vaseline. Apparantly he ate a teaspoonful of it every day. Yuck!! According to some sources, the word Vasline comes from two words, the German word for water, Wasser and the Greek word for oil, elain. ...I bought these wipes from Wilkinson's in a "buy one, get one free" offer. The packet cost 99p for 25 wipes. The wipes are called "Skin Therapy 3-in-1 Facial Wipes" and they are the Wilko brand. They can be used to remove make up or cleanse or tone the skin on your face. It's a sort of way to clean your face to get a clearer complexion. The packet is covered in the slogan "wipe away the day's grime". The packet says that the wipes have been ?dermatologically tested? and they are "alcohol free" and "Ph Balanced". The back of the packet states that they are also lanolin-free. Unfortunately they are also almost fragrance free as well. They smell very clinical, almost like being in a pharmacy. Philips SoundMachine AZ102N - The Soundmaster!

Advantages: Good quality chassis, good sound quality, does everything for the price, looks nice.
Disadvantages: Inbuilt handle could have been better, silver version better than white -preference.

Paying a quick visit to my local Bennets I picked up the AZ102N, a CD/Radio by Dutch manfacturers Philips. Because I wanted something cheap and cheerful that would be subject to a few knocks I picked up Bennet's own brand £19.99 stereo which had unfortunately sold out, this was the next cheapest thing but I am glad I picked a reputable brand because it fulfills all of my needs as a radio and CD player. It was very well packaged with a power cable, instruction manual and cardboard packaging (very environmentally conscious there). The picture for this review is silver, mine is light blue and white which does not help with dust or grime. I feel the silver version would have hidden day to day scratches and dust better.
