Shockingly cheap tong for occasional curling

Advantages: Cheap, curls like most other tongs, small & sleek design, on/off switch
Disadvantages: Hair escapes from tong's grip, non-ceramic tong, no extra features

Most effective curling tong I've ever tried

Advantages: Really easy to use, almost impossible to burn yourself
Disadvantages: Have to do a small amount of hair at a time and can leave kinks.

...I bought these curling tongs about a year ago in a sale for about £10, and although I haven't had the time to use them very regularly, my experience of them has been very good. Although I now find the design a bit too pink and little-girly, they work better than the vidal sassoon curling tong i had before them. It is difficult to do the back of your head without getting kinks so I tend to get someone else to do that if I have the time, but that goes for any curling tong. The main advantage from my point of view is that the barrel has a plastic spiral around it; this especially benefits people like me as I am notoriously good at burning my head. BaByliss You Curl- You're worth it!!!

Advantages: gorgeous curls, smooth shiny and straight hair as well!!

...I would like to review BaByliss You Curl Styler from my point of view (read: point of view of person who has got big problems with making any hairdo, with very heavy looking hair). Babyliss You Curls - Best Curling Appliance so far

Advantages: Fast Heat up, step by step instructions, easy to use
Disadvantages: need to get the hang of it first

...I bought the Babyliss You Curl as a friend recommended them.. I have medium length hair thats quite thick, i seperated all my hair and curled sections as instructed in the booklet that came with the tongs. You have to curl your hair in a certain way for it to work otherwise it just straightens but once you get used to it, it becomes a lot quicker and easier to do. I sprayed each section with hairspray before and after i used the tongs to help the curls stay in. However after an hour of curling my hair the first section underneath had dropped out maybe i needed more hairspray so i re did the sections underneath. They are good value for money as i paid £39 and they create modern curls. They are fairly easy to use with 3 different heat settings and an on and off button once you get the hang of it....
