Appearance The DVD player is very compact and attractive. It has a white outer shell and a black interior fascia. There is a flip up drawer on the bottom half where you put the DVDs in, which is opened by sliding the button on the front panel. It is smart and modern enough to be confident to use it on the train or in public generally. Price I paid £70.00 for the player a few months ago, but I strongly advise other to shop around as I understand it can not be bought for around £50.00. It is well worth either price in my opinion. ...I was given this player to keep me occupied on my many long bus and train journeys. THE PLAYER This is a Japanese mp3 and CD player, which comes in a silver and blue top with a grey base. It is 13cmx13cmx2½cm which is about average size, so its more bag sized than pocket sized. It comes with an adapter and ear bud type headphones. It only has a small display area, so only displays limited information on it, such as which track and album or how long the song has been playing for. ...I came across this product whilst bored after doing my homework, fantasising about an ipod so I could store all my music. Whilst searching around the Internet I stumbled over many CD Mp3 players. I'd never heard of them before so I was intrigued to find out more. I had owned a Sony Minidisc player for about 2 years, and had become fed up with having to change the Minidisc every so often (yes I'm very lazy!) and it had become broken and did not want to send it of to the manufacturers to mend it which would have been very costly. A CD Mp3 player can store up to 30 albums onto one CD. This is very handy and by far easier than my previous Minidisc player is. An Atrac-tive player

Advantages: Ultimate in portability, use in car or on foot
Disadvantages: Atrac cannot be used on any other players

...Once upon a time I had a car, and it had a radio that didn't work and a cassette player that did. So I used to tape my CD's onto cassettes to listen to in the car. This wasn't ideal, after all a tape only plays for a relatively short time before it needs turning over, but that was all I had. Then I saw an advert in the paper for the Sony D-NE518CK , a CD/mp3 player which came with a car kit that simply went into the cassette slot and you could get upto 30 hours of music one disc. Phillips CD445 Cordless Digital Phone

Advantages: Stylish, Good Answerphone and Great Price
Disadvantages: Poor Battery Life

...Good Phone for a great Price but very poor battery life I like this phone very much and bought it for around £30. A great price for the selection of features you get in comparison to similar phones in the same price range. Firstly I would recommend looking closely at the specs of any phones you get. For example some don't come with a backlit display so you could be left fumbling around in the dark if the phone goes during the night. Luckily the Phillips CD445 has a nice blue backlit display. It was also very simple to setup and use within 10 mins. The instructions were great and proved a good reference guide for anything that I couldn't work out myself. The answerphone is great and means I can screen all those annoying sales calls that you get during the day. A speakerphone option is also available for hands free calling...

CD/MP3 player of kings

Advantages: MP3 playback and long battery life

...Whenever I?ve had to choose a CD player like this, for me or for a present, the first thing I look at is the battery time. This is what first led me to this player, it advertises 30+ hours of CD playback and 48 hours of mp3 playback (these are for non-stop playback, with no skipping. Using the skip a lot will reduce battery time and giving it resting time between playbacks increases battery time.) Those numbers seemed pretty amazing to me from just 2AA batteries. So I bought it.... The round shape looks great and I can?t see how a CD player could get much smaller. It feels very well built, and it takes very big bumps (unusually big) to get it to skip. The remote control is useful for whenever you are carrying it around in your pocket or a bag and don?t want to have to reach into your pocket and fumble around for the buttons...

Advantages: Skip protection, dynamic bass boost, cd rewritable

...First of all this cd player is quite cheap but as the battery life is lower than other competitors it can cost more to run in the long term. It looks okay but there is a bit to much writing on the front. The player is relatively loud and has a nice bass boost. Also the buttons of the cd player are hard wearing and tough. My cd player has fallen a couple of times and has been hit once or twice but it is still in good condition so it is relatively tough. The fact that it has 25 seconds electronic skip protecting makes it play songs smoothly. It can play cd/cdr/cdrw's so you can make your own cd's and play them. It has got a ac adapter so you can use that if a main is available and you can save battery life. It is a bit big but it still is quite portable. If you are looking for a cd player that is quite cheap then this is the cd player...
