Philips Audio XQ

...I recently had to purchase a set of CD-R's to produce some CD's, for legal reasons I should point out!! So I brought a set of the 'XQ' version, along with the 'Q' version produced by Philips. Made in Germany, the 'blurb' on the packaging states: 'For use with all Digital Audio CD-Recorders. Philips CD-R Q/XQ offer high quality, digital audio performance.' But do they really offer high quality?? Well, the majority of the CDs were used to burn mp3's, so that would partly rely on the quality of the mp3's more than anything, although after listening to them via the CD, there were absolutely no apparently signs of the quality of the songs having faded after being placed on the CD. Occasionally, I find that some CD-R's don't work when being written on, possibly because of the speed of my computer drive, but thankfully not one...

Bose SoundDock Digital Music System Review

Advantages: Superb Sound, Very Loud, Ideal for Ipods
Disadvantages: not go to travel with, Extremely Expensive

...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall...

Philips HS 8020 Moisrue System Cool Skin Shaver

Advantages: Convenience, comfort
Disadvantages: Still difficult to get as close as a wet shave but comes a VERY close second

...First things first, this is simply the best electric razor I have ever used. But how does this compare to other models on the market and would it convert the "wet" shaver. I myself have owned electric razors previously, mainly for the convenience factor but often felt let down by the quality of the shave and the discomfort of almost tearing at the skin. The PhilipsMoisture Razor is extremely comfortable as it dispenses moisturising gel as you shave. This elinminates the need for shaving gel/cream and means it can be used in the shower - a great time saver. Minor negative points are I felt itquite difficult to get a close shave around the neck area. Also there have been issues in being able to but replacement gel for the system which makes it redundant. Excellent quality, the design is good too - doesn't look too plastic, or out of place at all in todays living. The units provide a 100m range, which should be ample for most peoples needs. You also get a headphone jack, so if you wanted to - you can set the tranmitter up on your hifi stereo, and receive the music via your television in another room ( again taking the remote control for the stereo, will allow you to change CD track, radio station etc etc using the IR device included ) It also allows for connection to your PC to transmit audio. Philips MCB 700 micro hifi

Advantages: neat small and attractive... good sound, reasonable rich bass..
Disadvantages: not massively loud. limited sound adjustability.

...'s, mp3 players etc.. to (on the back of the HI-FI) 2 phono plugs so that's quite useful. 4.) the remote is very practical as with most philips items well thought out and laid out. you can play CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 discs on the cd player which opens upwards (btw) so the hi-fi cannot be put under something. Audio output 2x25 watts Speaker type 2 way Radio Yes RDS No Radio type AM/FM/DAB 1 more point there doesn't seem to be an adjustable graphic equaliser setting so your stuck with the adequate classic, pop, rock, jazz etc.. settings also (dbb) which makes it richer sounding. Philips HTS3154 DVD Home Theatre System

...i have had this Home Cinema DVD player for over a year now and as far as i can tell there have been absolutely no problems with it. excellent all round DVD player, and has USB and DivX support which is brilliant as i watch a lot of films from my memory stick. One bad thing about the USB is that it doesn't support very large hard drives and U3 drives - anything which you need specific drivers for. The DVD player also has MP3 line-in which is very useful if you have an MP3 player which is not compatible with the USB, so you can just plug it in. One feature i found really good was that it remembers where you were last in your DVD, and that has come in very handy as I am always having to go and do something else. Overall an excellent Home Cinema DVD player, with some features that could be added....

Excellent travel system

Advantages: Folding down, multifunctional

...Being a first time Mum, I searched around all the high street shops for a functional and attractive travel system. Out of all the prams this one had the easiest folding down system, even tho it was slightly on the heavy side I could fold it down with 1 hand! The carry cot was great for the first 4 months fitting in to the pram snuggly as the seat folded flat (which I found alot of other prams didn't do) The car seat had a base that made it so easy to take the baby in and out of the car (no messing around with seat belts every time!) It is also very well padded, however it didnt come with cushioned protectors on the straps. When we were taking baby home for the first time, the midwife told us it needed them which were only £5 extra to buy. She's in the buggy part now which has three postions and harnesses which is great. Overall fab...
