Easy and cheap cut at home

...I got this for my partner because, quite frankly, I was sick of him stealing the scissors and my razors at home! This clipper is a good product and I would always reccomend something from the babyliss range - call me a sucker for brands but I have never had a problem with the make when buying products before. The overall appearance isn't the typical appearance to clippers, at least not ones I've seen before but just like it says on the tin my partner found them easy to use and hold. Straight from the box the clippers use "Unique circular blade technology for multi directional cutting" which seem to make a massive differents than a pair of scissors giving the cut a nice and even appearance. Philips GC 3232 EASY CARE

Advantages: Long cord. Plenty of steam. Reasonable price.
Disadvantages: Quite heavy. Water tank needs regular filling. No auto shut-off.

...After a lot of research into what iron to buy for our budget (£40) I decided to buy Philips GC3232 EasyCare iron. I bought it from Curry's at £39.99. Prices online and high street stores are all around the same mark give or take a couple of pounds. So.. the iron. My first comment is how easily it glides due to Philips Careeza soleplate which glides easily over all types of fabric that I have been able to test in my home. The water inlet is rather large (in comparison to irons I have used) with very little risk of spilling water when filling up. Although quite messy if you add too much water and need to it empty out. It has 3 metres of cord which, for me, is more than enough to manouvre the iron freely across the board (and to reach to the door way so I can watch T.V. while doing the chore!) The cord length is a little harder...

The pivoting head is also not just a gimmick, this is a genius invention and makes cutting hair easier than ever before, it is perfect and easy to use. Changing the size is also brilliant, no more fiddeling with 10 different pieces, just 2, pick which one, you will only need one on pretty much permanently then change the size via the ingenious dial on the device, and it locks so you cannot change the size while cutting. However, the device says it has loads of different settings, unless you have and like short hair do not buy. this item says it has about 12 settings but they are not equal to normal clippers, the longest setting on this is probably equal to a barbers 4/5. Philips - Easy Peasy!

Advantages: Excellent Playback Quality, Recording and Easy!
Disadvantages: Zoom doesn't go away with the clear button, a little expensive

...::::INTRODUCTION:::: I was origionally looking for a Philips DVD Player but decided "why not get a recorder instead to replace the old VCR?", so i set off to the shops, went in ASDA and seen this stylish little machine on the shelf, picked it up and went to the till to purchase it! It only cost £98 ;-) ::::SETTING IT UP:::: The Words "Easy Peasy" comes to mind when setting up this Recorder/Player. The manual isn't at all confusing (although it doesn't state how long warranty is, but ASDA do a year warranty anyway and you can ring Philips if you really want to find out!). Switch off all your equitment, choose a connection mehthod (i went for Scart from Sky Box into The Recorder and then from Recorder to TV), then set it up using the on screen instructions and wooolah! Philips SoundMachine AZ102N - The Soundmaster!

Advantages: Good quality chassis, good sound quality, does everything for the price, looks nice.
Disadvantages: Inbuilt handle could have been better, silver version better than white -preference.

Paying a quick visit to my local Bennets I picked up the AZ102N, a CD/Radio by Dutch manfacturers Philips. Because I wanted something cheap and cheerful that would be subject to a few knocks I picked up Bennet's own brand £19.99 stereo which had unfortunately sold out, this was the next cheapest thing but I am glad I picked a reputable brand because it fulfills all of my needs as a radio and CD player. It was very well packaged with a power cable, instruction manual and cardboard packaging (very environmentally conscious there). The picture for this review is silver, mine is light blue and white which does not help with dust or grime. I feel the silver version would have hidden day to day scratches and dust better. Easy to use Philips HP 6326 Soft Select

Disadvantages: its not good shaving at all.

...Hi there in my opinion Philips HP 6328 Soft Select doesnt do what it says it does.I used one myself and its doesnt shave your legs smooth at all.It shaves of lots of hair on legs and other places , but you shave your legs for a long time and after doing that for about 30 mins my legs was still not smooth and was very rough on my legs.The hair on the legs didnt all go away there was still some hair on my legs and brisly.It compact to store put it in your bag.Its has a charger and mains socket to plug in to recharge it.After 3 months i have to go and buy new silver foil that was in the shaver as the one i had wasnt cutting at all.The only place i could get them was Boots the chemist.Had to order them and wait 3 days, and cost £5.99.To much to buy every there months i thought.You can use the razor underwater but i wont advise it....
