...WHAT IS IT: Phoenix Wright:Ace Attorney is a cartoon adventure game for the Nintendo DS released in 2005. You play Phoenix Wright a hapless rookie lawyer who must work alongside a number of other somewhat bizarre characters to gather enough evidence to crack a case through cross examination in court. GAMEPLAY: There are two main modes in the game: investigation and trial. In investigation mode, you have to travel around a number of different locations to gather evidence. At these locations you often encounter witnesses, suspects or a detective with useful information or items of evidence. Phoenix hotel, Copenhagen

Advantages: 4 star luxary, excellent breakfest, cheap deals if booked early
Disadvantages: smallish sized room

...So here we are traveling the globe and the Scandinavian is without doubt the most expensive for hostels and we were really struggling to find a hostel in central Copenhagen until my girlfriend stumbled upon this excellent hotel which worked out to be only a couple of pounds more expensive then the hostels in the area - but this one has of course a four star luxury status! The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and of course a local metro stop which connects directly to the local airport. We made the short journey and located the street that the hostel was on easily. The hotel stood out on this quiet street as we arrived at 9pm and there was no one walking the streets and only one building as lit up - this was the phoenix. There are fives cases, each to do with a murder. They are all basically the same; the evidence points quite strongly to your client but they swear they didn't do it. Phoenix Wright - Ace Game!

Advantages: Interesting storylines, addictive, nice graphics, interesting characters
Disadvantages: Some parts can be difficult to get past, to start with its a bit too easy

...I bought this game recently after having got the impression that it was a 'must have' game for the DS. I have to say, Nintendo are particularly good at coming up with original games and this game does work pretty well on the DS platform. Being a bit of a crime show fan and having seen plenty of court room footage/drama shows on TV (Law & Order and so on) also made me keen on this game, as its all about guiding a rookie lawyer by the name of, you guessed it, Phoenix Wright, through a number of cases, in order to make him, again you guessed it!, an ace attorney (somewhat cheesy I know!). This game, which in a way could be seen as being more like an interactive TV show or movie than a game in the traditional sense, uses the Nintendo DS touch screen technology. ...The second instalment of Phoenix Wright?s adventures, ?Justice For All?, takes place roughly a year after where the first game left off. Phoenix is still working at his law firm with his assistant Maya Fey, the sister of his former boss, Mia, and still managing to scrape those Not Guilty verdicts by the skin of his teeth. As the player you guide Phoenix through the game with a simple point and click method using the DS touch screen and stylus. The top screen is reserved for the individual chatter and the various basic animations of the characters. Throughout the game Phoenix will work on four different murder cases, each of which involving a somewhat elaborate method of killing the victim. As Phoenix, you gather information and evidence to then later use in court when defending your client. Justice For All is a terribly disappointing...

Advantages: Great content, easy navigation, plenty of extras
Disadvantages: Commentary is a bit repetitive

...My primary reason for reviewing this DVD - oddly enough - isn't to do with the outstanding series, Phoenix Nights. Naturally, it would be impossible to review the DVD had the series not been made, but there is something else I want to praise. I've mentioned in other DVD reviews that the one advantage of this format over video is that producers can add all kinds of special effects. When the menu first appears, you hear Brian's voice squawking, "Jerry, I can smell smoke!" - I suppose this could get a little irritating if you listened to it too long, but there is so much to choose from. Where do you start? The navigation through the episodes is excellent - first you pick the episode then it is effortless to watch whichever one from . . . well, whichever chapter point you want, really - but if you go back to the main menu, there are...

...The DW001 Dishwasher from Phoenix has got to be one of the smallest available on the market today, perfect for the small family of two living together for the first time or maybe a family of three which is what I am part of. It is pretty much a cube of around half a metre eac h way. It is 54cm (22inches) in height which makes it a really handy and rather cute size that is easy to fit onto worktops if you have the space. The front has simply got the open/ close latch on and the controls. The opening latch is safety locked so the dishwasher stops if it detects that it has been open, unfortunately if this is half way through you may still find that water goes everywhere. ...Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney is a fantastic interactive game in which you play an Attorney called Phoenix Wright that has just started in the profession. You play through the game taking on different cases and in each case you have to take the person to court and witnesses to be questioned to bring the cases to a close. You do this five times throughout the game and each case is really in-depth and text heavy. The text heavy game uses both top and bottom screen, the bottom is the usual DS style for you to interact with the game, tapping the screen to move onto the next conversation, or selecting multiple answers or questions you want to ask the suspects.
