Advantages: Easy to use for beginners

...This ones yet another example of the great 'Coverware' that I pick up, and a fine piece of software it is too should you have the inclination to take time using it. For those of you that don't know what coverware is, it's those programmes supplied on magazine cover discs, and I've had some remarkable software off many a great cover: Two different versions of Lotus organiser (including the penultimate one) two full Smartsuites, Word pro 97, Pressworks, Encyclopaedias galore, and They're all full versions. Amazing Photo Editing Program (Adobe Photoshop CS4)

Advantages: Massive amount of features, endless ways to manipulate pictures
Disadvantages: Takes a while to learn how to use it

...Having recently reviewed Quark on here I thought I should also give a review on Photoshop as it is another program that I use on a daily basis. Photoshop is a photo editing program which again as with quark I started when I was 17 (long time ago now) and at college studying Graphic Design, being young and having never used the program before I thought it was amazing, I didn't realize that there where programs out there that could do so much to pictures. Digital Photo Printing at Boots

Advantages: Quick and Easy Self Service - Quality - Professional
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest

..., and a few in quite poor lighting conditions that have required a little editing to look decent on the computer. I've used Boots for photo printing like this for many years, ever since I got a digital camera, and also used them when I had a normal camera as well. I've yet to have any problems, other than one incident a few years ago where photos were mixed up, but this was sorted quickly, and I, and the other person, got a free film and a refund. I will not hesitate to use them in future. A particular thing with Boots is the staff, who you feel really know what they are doing, rather than just being lightly trained button pushers. I would definitely recommend Boots for digital photo printing. It might not be cheapest, but it's worth it for the quality and professionalism....

Developing your photos at Tesco

Advantages: Quick and Easy
Disadvantages: Can be more expensive and you cannot pay by cash at these machines

...I have found this service quite handy as now having a digital camera i tend to forget to develop my photos, which is a shame, and trying to hand your memory card over for someone to pick out the ones you want to develp can be quite stressful, which is why i use the self service photo developing. I have found it quite an easy self explanatory experience, you insert your memory card and follow the on-line instructions, you can either have the normal 4x6 prints, the option to select all photos or certain ones, you also have the option to re-size your photos as well. When selecting your photos it tells you how much it is costing you on the screen, so no nasty suprises at the end! You then simply pay for the selected photos by card at the machine and then your photos are printed while you wait, which i think is quite quick. The only down...

...Pinnacle 9 is nigh on Dickensian, it left me thinking that ?it was the best of software it was the worst of software?, how can one ?umble product leave you ripping your hair out as well as oddly satisfied, in fact it practically left me asking for more. The software is actually very good; especially for the price in fact it makes the editing process remarkably simple, transitions, multi-level sound and image editors. But the package could drive anybody to the brink of insanity.
