Digital Photo Printing at Boots

Advantages: Quick and Easy Self Service - Quality - Professional

I cannot state as to how true this is, as when I visited Staples on the seventh of this month this was the first time that I had seen a smaller size (and this goes for all the shops I have bought from) so therefore I can only assume that this is true or else they would not be allowed to print such a claim on full view for all to see. For those of you who wish to know more detail, I do so believe that this particular inkjet cartridge that we are talking about can print up to around 400/450 sheets with the quality not faulting at all. This cartridge could not be any easier for putting in, as all that one would simply do is to open up the top of the printer; remove the old one; remove the new one from all of its packaging, and insert in to the printer. Fantastic print quality but high maintenance costs

The printing capacity of this particular cartridge on my printer a HP Deskjet D4260 was 580 pages/210 photos. I have to admit that I have never made it to such high volumes and found myself replacing the cartrdiges very frequently (almost every forthnight which came very expensive at a price of £22.17 per cartridge. Because of this, I have to say that I have now switched back to my old HP Deskjet 845c printer for general office use and leave my D4260 for "special occasions", e.g. photo printing....

Top Quality Printing

According to information on the web, these cartridges boast smaller nozzle holes (produced by the Excimer Laser) meaning sharper images and smoother blending of colours. Again I cannot confirm this, but do know that printed photographs on glossy paper do print looking as good as photo?s I have from photo shops off 35 mm films. Great Photo Printing

Colour profiles (to suit your monitor) can be selected, but the software usually selects it automatically for you. Included is software that match?s your digital camera with the printer. This uses the information from your camera and optimises the printing of photos. This uses Epson?s new print image matching technology. The printing resolution (quality) can be selected with the software. Very high dots per inch (dpi) for Photo printing and lower for general printing. I wont go into the exact dpi figures. The results speak for themselves. Colour, grey scale, or black and white can also be selected if needed. THE OUTPUT/RESULTS The quality of output is excellent, even on plain paper the results are pretty good. Not photo quality obviously...
