Amazing Photo Editing Program (Adobe Photoshop CS4)

Advantages: Massive amount of features, endless ways to manipulate pictures
Disadvantages: Takes a while to learn how to use it

...Having recently reviewed Quark on here I thought I should also give a review on Photoshop as it is another program that I use on a daily basis. Photoshop is a photo editing program which again as with quark I started when I was 17 (long time ago now) and at college studying Graphic Design, being young and having never used the program before I thought it was amazing, I didn't realize that there where programs out there that could do so much to pictures. How times have changed, this program has been re-released several times since I first started using it and it has come on in leaps and bounds, it is now an even more amazing program which is packed full of features, you can pretty much do anything you like to a picture, it certainly makes me think twice when I see a picture in a newspaper or magazine, you never know what could have been...

Photoshop CS2...Perfection?

Advantages: Very neat and useful new features
Disadvantages: Still expensive to buy new

Photoshop CS3 - The best graphic designing tool.

Advantages: Easy to use, more creative features, really great product results, has a built in animation window

It's as good as Photoshop non-upgrade edition, only cheaper!

Advantages: Runs on 64 bit processors properly. Uses the graphics card properly.
Disadvantages: Expensive to upgrade if you don't need the technical benefits. Most features are the same.

...Photoshop is the industry standard application for photo-manipulation and adjustment. You can't really beat it if you're in an industry where you need to adjust bitmap graphics. Photoshop CS3 well worth the mone.

Advantages: Plenty of new options and great value for money.
Disadvantages: Confusing to install.

...I find the new CS3 runs quite slow if left on for a while on my operating system which is OSX. There are plenty of reasons why it would be a good buy, these include quick opening times, plenty of new options to create quality work and even though it is expensive i have found it good value for money because of the amount of packages you get within it. It all seems to of had a lot more time spent on the design process compared to previous models. The one problem i have with it, is when you are installing the programmes they have made the keycode different. You have to drop the box into the programme then it takes a few minutes to work. Because of this long pause i thought mine did not work properly. This is not explained clearly and that is my only major concern over the whole package....

Worth the money.

Advantages: Easy to use, lots of tools.
Disadvantages: Expensive.

...A few years ago I decided I wanted to do some photo editing and graphics on my computer. A friend of mine recommended Photoshop and I am so glad I took his advice! I was new to graphics and had never done anything like that before but I quickly got the hang of it and kept on learning new things and I still learn new things today.
