HP Photosmart - A Smart Desicion!

Advantages: Fun & Simple to use without a PC, loads of features, touchscreen
Disadvantages: Max paper size 5" x 7"

...I saw this printer advertised back in July when I was trying to get to grips with all the photo's stored on my hard drive. I'm never without my digital camera, in fact I probably use it daily but the photo's always end up getting shoved onto my computer and forgotten about. If anyone else is reading this and knowing exactly what I mean then I would definitely recommend the HP Photosmart A626 to them! The HP Photosmart A626 is a compact photo printer designed solely for photo printing. It can print on paper up to 5" x 7" although I tend to print standard postcard sized prints of 4" x 6" (A6). It boasts printing speeds of up to 39 seconds per 10x15cm colour print, although in my experience it usually takes more like 60 seconds per colour print (still not bad for good quality prints). A Leap in Technology - the HP Photosmart C4585

Advantages: Wireless printing and scanning saves time and money for business
Disadvantages: Sometimes needs turned on/off when scanning lots of documents

...I received the HP Photosmart C4585 as a Christmas 2008 present and so am not sure how much was paid for it- though I know it was bought from Curry's. To sum up in the first paragraph all I can say is that this in an incredible piece of technology- the freedom of not having to plug in printers and scanners into my laptop is a great asset that I did not think I could appreciate to such an extent. The product was found in excellent condition upon opening the packaging due to the strong polystyrene inserts that fitted the box like a glove. Inside all the relevent user manuals, quick start guide (for both windows and apple), warranty cards and sample ink cartridges were included. Be smart, get a Photosmart

Advantages: All-in-one multifunctional product
Disadvantages: Cartridges quite expensive

.... At the time, i purchased one very cheap and they're one of the best value all-in-one printers out at the moment. The Photosmart series is extensive, and has be improved vastly over time. I used to use an older model which was prone to jamming as it took up multiple pages at once. This was an issue at the time, but on the newer model they seem to have fixed this. I'm not a huge fan of HP software, although I dislike most software computer peripherals come with these days. They tend to clutter up the hard drive. The HP software is OK although it seems slow to react and is not particularly useful. Cartridges are expensive but there aren't many that are cheap these days! Speed-wise, its quick as far as inkjets go but if you want speedy, get a LaserJet. Overall though, a strong contender in the battle of the inkjets....

HP PhotoSmart D7160 - one year of use

Advantages: Easy to use. Good colour reproduction. Easy to change inkjets.
Disadvantages: Must use 100 gsm paper or else printer constantly jams or damages output

...I bought this printer because I was fed up forking out lots of money for ink jet cartridges which would run out of one colour and mean that the rest of the ink was unused. So in December 2007 I purchased the HP PhotoSmart D7160. This printer has individual inkjet cartridges for each colour. However in January 2008 the printer just packed up and would not work. I contacted Hewlett Packard and explained that I had no idea why it would not work. They were very helpful, non-judgemental and identified the problem (technical and beyond my ken) and arranged for me to send the printer back. The carrier collected it and replaced it with a brand new printer. It worked like a dream. The aftersales service cannot be faulted. I use the printer for making leaflets and printing photgraphs. This means I tend to use a lot of blue and black...

HP Photosmart 7260 Inkjet Printer Review

Advantages: Small, Card Readers, Nice prints, Good Value

...Summary: Fast, Quiet, Small, Fantastic print quality with card readers but prone to printer jams, flimsy and Expensive to Run. Recommended! Having seen HP's DeskJet 5150 recommended, I thought I'd check out the opposition, and found the new Photosmart 7260 uses the same print cartridges as its popular big brother. So I figured, same running costs, same print quality. Not having tried a 5150, I can't test my theory, but I can say I'm delighted with the print quality both for text and photos. This is much better than my old Lexmark 7200, and colours are more vibrant than the Canon i450, which I also tried. And for the same price as the 5150, you get card readers, and a smaller package. So I bought it as a general-purpose printer. On the downside the construction is a little flimsy, and the in-tray will only take 100 sheets of A4...

HP Photosmart 7960 - The future of printing

Advantages: Gorgeus Design, Excellent printouts, Fast

...Well, the office has gone out and bought another printer! As if we haven't got enough!? This however is a true printer and one to get excited about! The thing I like about this printer is it offers exceptional graphic quality yet it is available for the home user. In our office, we quite frequently purchase large proof printers that cost us into the thousands, these are really professional printers that one would not typically buy for the home PC (for start they might not fit in your study!) HP Photosmart C6180 all in one

Advantages: Read my review, there are so many
Disadvantages: Only a few that i have stated at the end on my review.

.... I went onto Word and printed a simple document. I was doing all this in a different room to that the printer was in. I clicked print and went into the room the printer was in, just as i got there the printer started up and was printing the page. I must say, from when you click print on the laptop and when the printer starts printing there is a slight gap, takes longer than when it is connected via USB but that was expected. Scanning & copying: Now for the scanning and copying. This was simple to do both on the printer itself and via the computer. I first started wth a document in the flat bed. Quality was fantastic even when it was only selected at 600dpi. I selected the copy function on the printer itself and it gave me a wide choice of places to scan to including microsoft Word, Paint, HP photosmart which comes with the printer...
