Perfect Phuket

Advantages: It's got everything imaginable
Disadvantages: Not enough time to fit everything in

...Before I begin my op, I thought I had better mention that some of you reading this, may have already read my op on Bangkok, so I do apologise for covering some old ground, with the price, dates and weather etc. My husband and I went to Thailand in October 2001. We went on a two centre holiday, staying in Bangkok for 4 nights, and Phuket for 10. October is the end of the rainy season, so we had a bargain with the price, and as for the actual weather there, it was great. Yes we did have the occasional downpour, but they never lasted too long, and they certainly didn’t spoil our time there. The temperature was in the mid to high 80’s everyday, but it was very humid. Oh Phuket

...Last week I had my first visit to a lush shop. I have been using their products for a few months now, but I usually buy them online. So I went in and had a good look around. I had seen the Phuket bath ballistic online and it sounded good. The phuket is one of the bigger sized ballistics and weighs 200g. It is about the size of a tennis ball and it costs £1.95. I find it difficult when buying lush products to just buy one of anything, so I put two of these into a little bag and headed for the till. Rose tinted holidays in Phuket

Disadvantages: The seedy image that comes with it - but isnt the true face of Thailand (honest!)

...still, laughed far too much and too loud to be allowed in libraries and was the bouyant little urchin that other peoples mums always tried to feed up and sort out. My serious side was broody and a bit destructive, and I couldn't quite manage to be anything but festive unless I was in a mood. And then I went to Thailand. The travelling took hours and was one of the most strenuous ways to get on holiday I can think of but, thinking back, it only adds to the feeling that I embarked on a personality building journey. My beautiful "Phuket" watch

Advantages: Makes you feel special

...I've always had a bit of a fascination with jewellery and have always loved Swarovski jewellery, among others brands. I bought this watch last September and I love it so much I think everyone should have one! On my recent visit to Austria I had the good fortune to visit the Swarovski Crystal world. I've been to my local stores and to concessions in local department stores but nothing could have prepared me for the size of the shop in the Crystalworld. I fell in love with the "Phuket" watch and developed a slight obsession with owning it! I finally got the watch a couple of months later with vouchers and monetary presents I gratefully received for my 30th birthday. Ahhhhhhhh Phuket

Advantages: not too bad a movie
Disadvantages: but it rips the book to shreds

...well put together, it was shot on a real-life beach (as I´m sure we´re all aware after the legal actions taken by Phuket to stop the movie going ahead) so of course the beach is going to look real, as are the trees, the sea and the cliffes because basically, they are real! the location selectors definitely struck gold with choosing this beach though, as it looks as near to paradise as we can get for a movie! The sand truly is golden and the water is definitely a clear shade of blue so when it comes to settings they haven´t done too bad. Acting, well, unless you´ve had your head stuck in the sand for the last few years you´ll all know that Richard (the main character) is played by Leonardo Di Caprio, and shock horror - he turns in a good performance, showing Richards descent into madness and following struggle to regain his sanity...

...I went to the Phuket Fantasea show when I stayed in Phuket on a work trip - in actual fact before I got told we would be going to this show I had never even heard of it and so I didn't really have much of an idea about it but, now that I've been this is my opinion on the place. Also my opinion is based on only the park and show and not on the meal as we didn't arrive until later on and so missed the dining. What is it? Phuket Fantasea is a small park that is home to the largest animal show on the island - it is done up with an array of lights to rival Blackpool illuminations and has a variety of other small attractions to keep guests occupied before going in to see the main show.
