Bewleys Hotel Manchester Airport
Advantages: near to airport a comfortable hotel and affordable
Disadvantages: none
...***Introduction***
I had a flight booked from Manchester to Rhodes three weeks ago but unfortunately the check in time was 5.30 am. I really needed to be refreshed on my arrival because it was a business trip so I decided to check into Bewleys Hotel the night before, I have on previous occasions driven from home to the airport and found it very tedious and stressful normally leaving me feeling like a washed up dish rag by the time I arrived at my destination.
***The Hotel***
It is situated about three minutes walk from terminal 3 but also provides a 24 hour shuttle service to all the terminals.
I actually travelled by train to the airport and on arrival I located the free phone in the main concourse to contact the shuttle service, they picked me up within five minutes which impressed me no end.
It is a large...

Manchester Hotel
Advantages: Godd value
Disadvantages: none
...Holiday Inn Express Salford Quays is situated in a very nice location on the waterfront, my room looked out over the renovated canals and docklands which was good.
We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who was very helpful in giving us local information and directions. All the staff were helpful and friendly ( even when we managed to lock ourselves out of our room!)
The room was modern and very clean with plenty of coffee, cups , towels etc
Breakfast was as good - plenty of seating, nice dining room, and good length of hours on the Sunday morning in which to get it.
Location-wise, it's about 14 minutes on the Metrolink tram from Manchester Piccadilly station on the Eccles line, and from there about a 4-minute walk. Taxi from the city cost us £10 late on Saturday evening, as the Metrolink finishes at 12.30am.
Overall I...

Best Western Hotel Piccadilly Rome
Advantages: Clean, friendly, good location, good value
Disadvantages: None - perhaps not luxurious enough for some
...Have just come back from 3 nights at this hotel. The room was quite large with a 6ft bed and all the facilities that you may want. Had a big mirror, wardrobe, safe box, minibar, telephone, flatscreen tv, and lots of surfaces. It had an ensuite which again was perfectly clean and roomy - more than sufficient. There was nothing luxurious about the room, but it was plenty big enough, had all the facilities we wanted, was clean and well-kept, and generally of a very good standard.
The breakfast is included in the price - the food wasn't top quality but plenty good enough. They provide a good range of food and teas and coffees. It is served in a dining room that overlooks the city, and it is done nicely, with small tables, and decorated with lots of flowers.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, and even helped to tape my broken...

Super hotel in the heart of Manchester
Advantages: Location, staff, nice rooms
Disadvantages: Expensive
...I have had the pleasure of staying here on business on several occasions. My mother?s family come from Manchester so I always really enjoy visiting Manchester.
About the hotel:
The Arora Manchester is a four star hotel with over 140 bedrooms. It?s part owned by Cliff Richard and there are even five special Cliff bedrooms decorated with his memorabilia if you like that kind of thing! The location on Princess Street is also excellent as you are in the city centre and only 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly station if you arrive by train. It?s also about a 20-minute journey from the airport, which is also very convenient. The hotel doesn?t have it?s own car park but apparently guests can use the nearby NCP to park at a discounted rate.
First Impressions:
It?s an old fashioned looking building but it also looks quite grand. It is also...

Rendezvous~ Piccadilly Station~ Manchester
Advantages: Meeting new friends
Disadvantages: They were mostly younger than me!
...I noted that not only was it the idea of Dempsey from my Circle of Trust but also that he was organising it to take place at a venue that was easily accessible to me.
The time and place of the initial meet was 11.30am at Piccadilly Station Manchester. I had previously arranged to arrive a litte earlier and meet Gina (Mayclair) beforehand. You see both Gina and myself are rather timid individuals lacking deeply in self -confidence.We needed the support of each other .Our children had warned us about meeting people through the internet and were not impressed......L.O.L~ L.O.L~ L.O.L.~ L.O.L ~L.O.L
My day started at a disadvantage having had a poor nights sleep. But at least I didnt have to rush and I could rest on the train. The journey direct from Huddersfield to Piccadilly , Manchester is only about 40 minutes. After dropping...

Manchester Airport Marriott Hotel
Advantages: Just of the M56 - convenient
Disadvantages: Just of the M56 - noisy
...I stayed here for one night last week on a business trip to Manchester. I'd stayed there several times before, but they've recently renovated some of the public areas to make a new "Executive Lounge" with computers and things. Not quite sure what you need to get in there though...
The hotel is just off Junction 6 (Hale) of the M56 motorway, just 2 miles from Manchester Airport. and a 10 minute drive up the M56 to Manchester itself. This makes it quite popular for conferences and seminars, and there were a few going on there last week, one was "Effective decision making for non-executive directors of mutuals", that could have been interesting
There's a complimentary shuttle to Manchester Airport and they also offer "Park & Fly" packages (around £8 per day, I think) so you can leave your car there while you jet off...

Ruling in Manchester now too?
Advantages: reasonable price if booked in advance
Disadvantages: none really
...As with my previous recent reviews this forms a part of my need to get a life ethos, and even though I live a short distance from Manchester on a planned night out on the town I decided it was better worth my time staying over than drunkely seeking the nightbus home. So armed with my trusty cashback paying link to a hotelbooking site I found this one for the night.
I paid £50 for a doubleroom with no food included, the hotels standard rate is around £66 so a considerable saving especially given I only booked a few days before I wanted to stay.
The hotel itself is seconds from Picadilly Gardens which is the location of a large bus station and a tram stop which runs between the two main train stations, it is also a few minutes walk from the main Bus Station in the city where the National Express coaches stop.
The hotel has...

Our Days in Manchester
Advantages: Clean, comfortable, good food, handy for the hospital
Disadvantages: We had one or two problems - see review
...of the hotel is
Days Hotel, Weston Building, Sackville St, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M1 3BB
It is half a kilometer from Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station and 10 kilometers from Manchester Airport. It took us about ten minutes to walk into the centre of Manchester from the hotel.
It is about 20 minutes walk from Manchester Royal Infirmary!
Directions on how to find the hotel are on the active hotels website www.activehotels.com/servlet/xmlbrochure/index.do?hotelid=217168&trkref=KWI&subid=G.1
*** Check in ***
When we finally arrived at the hotel on the day we took mom to hospital check in was efficient and quick. We just had to sign the credit card form although, as I said before, no money would be taken form our account until we checked out at the end of our stay. We were asked if we would like a key each, which was very...

Manchester Britannia Airport Hotel
Advantages: free parking
Disadvantages: see review
...I would like to take this opportunity in sharing my experience in the Manchester Airport Hotel.
My friend and I had booked a room (no. 321) for one night in the Manchester Airport Hotel for 11th August 2007 at the cost of 49 British pounds.
Upon unpacking I noticed that of the two towels provided in the bathroom, the smaller one, showed a large very yellow stain running down the middle of it, the larger one was acceptably clean. One additional large towel could be located in the wardrobe. I rang reception and requested further towels from the young lady answering the phone. Within 2 minutes the night Manager rang back and suggested that I "look in the wardrobe". Having stated that I had indeed already done this, the "manager" started a debate with me. Here I quote from the hotel services hotel information brochure "An additional set...

sachas hotel
Advantages: good price,great location
Disadvantages: no window
...****Sachas hotel- Manchester****
I booked this hotel last minute as i had a job interview in Manchester and needed somewhere quite cheap ,that was also near the centre.
**Location/Getting there**
This hotel is located in Tibb street which is a 2 minute walk from Piccadily Gardens or 10 minutes away from Chorlton street bus station. The Train station is a little bit further away say maybe a twenty minute walk but i don't think that this is that bad .You can also get a tram from Piccadily gardens and this goes to quite a few places. You could also get a taxi to the hotel but i am not sure what parking is like if you were to take your own car.
**Reception/staff**
Since i had never been to Manchester before i phoned and asked the staff for directions -they were very nice and helped me out. When i got there i think i got the same...
