We were staying with my parents for a little while, and my mum decided to get Harry some games to play with her. I wasn't sure what was suitable for his age (3.5 years), but she picked up this game, Picture Pairs, and Animal Snap. We got them home and Harry was eager to get stuck in, and so were we actually, and would you believe it's now his favourite game we have to play at least once a day! ...I have to admit that I bought this book with some trepidation. I have encountered a lot of picture dictionaries in my time, and even as a child I can recall being disappointed with the low quality. Many seemed to be geared towards toddlers, a sort of "what is this" point and see the word in English sort of mentality. I find English only picture dictionaries a bit suspect, therefore, but with two children aged 6 and 8 learning Japanese, I thought perhaps a bilingual picture dictionary might aid in their vocabulary acquisition. As it was, it seemed that every five seconds I was being asked, "What is this in Japanese?" (Actually, my eldest points at something and asks, "Nani (what [is this])?" Perfect Pictures!

Advantages: Excellent Quality
Disadvantages: Quite Expensive

...couldn't see what the picture was. I won't be using cheap paper with this printer again as the paper that comes in the Picturepack produces excellent quality, so the paper obviously has a lot to do with it as well as the printer and ink. The first few Picturepack's I got, came with an extra pack of paper (25 sheets I think) and a photo album - the photo album was just cheap but seeing as it was free I suppose that might be expected. I tried putting photos in it but they just got creased so I didn't bother using it. The ink cartridge comes sealed in think blue plastic inside a box. This is quite difficult to open. There are instructions on the cartridge for installation. The cartridge is easily inserted into the back of the printer. ...In days gone by if you wanted to display your favourite photos then you had two choices, you either placed all the photos in big clumsy albums which you could pass round to visitors to browse through in turn or you could have dozens of photo frames all around your living room making the place look very, very cluttered. Picture are just like the advert on the tv - very nice, friendly, chatty about everything under the sun. We chose them because they can offer up to 125% of your house value and their valuation is done online - not by sending someone out to do a drive by valuation and charge you for it like some companies. I spoke to my account manager a few times by telephone. I found him very helpful, non-judgmental and very friendly. I told him what i had been quoted from other companies and told him what i was looking for and he seemed happy to offer me just that. ...was very easy to do, but the quality of the photos was not very good because of the low resolution on the camera on my mobile phone. I probably won't use this feature very much. The photos were still of a reasonable quality though, so if I'm out and about without my camera, I could take a picture on my phone and print it when I get home. I find it is really easy to use. There is a colour LCD screen that can be lifted up when in use. Both paper trays (where paper is inserted and where photo comes out) also fold down which makes it much easier for storage. The LCD screen allows you to view the photos before selecting the ones that you want to print. Photos can be printed in a variety of forms. The printer only prints on 6 x 4 size paper. ...Yes, my review section is slowly filling up with Pratchett books. That should say something of my opinion of his work by itself. Moving Pictures is, like most of his novels, a Discworld book, set on a fantasy world that moves through the universe carried by four elephants standing on the back of a giant turtle. Once you've got in the right frame of mind to accept the absurdity of the setting, you're ready for the story. Pratchett's stories are comedies, though this doesn't mean the plot or characters fall short in any way. You get a good story with a lot of jokes along to way. Some of the jokes are bad puns, others are clever ideas and the majority just look at the world we're used to in a slightly scewed way.
