...For a Game Boy Classic cartridge, this is not a bad little game. I have never owned this, but I have borrowed it long-term before and I can safely say it is more enjoyable than the Red and Blue versions with Pikachu following you around and an extra surf game on the beach somewhere. When compared with the later Pokémon games, it's not brilliant, but when you have played on the later versions, it has a nice back-to-basics feel with only the original 150 (151) Pokémon. When played on a colour console, it shows in colour, unlike the Red and Blue versions which show in red and blue respectively. The game starts off in Pallet Town, just like in the Red and Blue versions. Professor Oak wants you to collect a parcel for him and in return he gives you a Pokémon (Pikachu) for you to keep. Punching Pikachu

...The secret Mario game that Nintendo had on their agenda definitely wasn’t what people were expecting whilst they were all hanging on for Super Mario 64 2 but it seemed like a refreshing idea to have Mario and his friends, along with Link from the Zelda series and Pikachu punching each others lights out. ...Yellow electrifying pocket monster !! Pikachu is the star of Pokemon Yellow and it follows you everywhere you go. It is very similar in design to red and blue but you do have your trusty companion. The main difference being that you cannot train pikachu enough to make him evolve unlike in say red version. This is just as good as the others and if you train him well and he wins lots of battles he will love you !! You can visit lots of different towns as well as having to battle the double trouble Team Rocket and the more battles you win the stronger your pokemon become. Eventually you will be able to teach them new attacks and once you have fought all the various gym leaders you can enter the Pokemon League where you have to defeat the best of the best - including Gary your Arch Enemy....

Everyone but them manages to escape the sinking ship. This episode sees the group join forces with team rocket in order to escape the ship. Wanna Beat the living crap out of pikachu

...Wanna beat 2 tons of shit out of pikachu? well this is your game. For one I enjoyed watching pikachu getting his fat little ass kicked. But on a serious note it is a very good game very origional and very fun. It is all about great nintendo charactors battling it out on all their turfs. I really enjoyed the multi player because the one player isnt really exciting enough for me. I dont really have too many complaints about this one though if there is a sequal i just hope there will be a few more charactors. i would recommend this to 3-16 year olds because i cant really see anyone under 3 really even picking up a control, and people over 16 actually liking this kind of game.
