An unwinnable case?

I do think that Grisham at his best is pretty unbeatable although not all that he writes lives up to expectations. So could this book beat, or at least match, what Grisham does? Read on... Cool Chillow Pillow

Advantages: Can be kept under your pillow and used as needed. Very effective.
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive. Can sometimes feel quite heavy.

...I first bought my Chillow Pillow about two years ago and have found it invaluable both for hot summer nights and menopausal night sweats. You just need to fill it with tepid water and it's ready to go. It can be used inside a pillow case but I prefer to have it ( and find it more effective) next to my skin. You can pop it in the fridge for a little while to make it really cold and I have done this once or twice but it's not usually necessary. I keep it under my normal pillow all year round and just bring it out and put it on top when necessary, which at the moment is most nights. It really does seem to draw the heat away from my face (as evidenced by how warm the Chillow is in the morning) and enables me to get a really good night's sleep. It does seem a bit expensive but for me it has been well worth it....

The solution presented itself on a trip to Mothercare where we happened across the ?Cosysnooze? seat belt pillow. It is a tubular white pillow about a foot long, which is covered by a separate soft velvet-like dark grey nylon cover trimmed in black. The pillow fits loosely inside the cover, and the two flaps, each edged along their whole length with black Velcro, allow you to attach the pillow securely in place over the seat belt. The child can then fall asleep on it without chafing and no danger of dislodging it. In the past I had always used feather pillows (bliss), but as my wife suffers from asthma, I have had to resort to using hollow fibre. After years of using hollow fibre pillows, which compress irretrievably after a few months, I was pleased to see someone selling a product which would ?bounce back? and keep it?s shape. Perfect! The manufacturers claim is that these pillows recover their shape and will not compress as inferior versions do. Music to your ears

Advantages: Very soft pillow, plays the music at a reasonable level, nice novelty.
Disadvantages: Not washable and so has a limited life.

As I have spondylosis in my neck I am always on the look out for good pillows and that this was called'Sound Asleep' as it was so good.. However this one was not what I would call a good pillow; in other words one which will aid restful sleep due to its' material etc. For one thing it felt very soft, just the sort of pillow Hubby likes, and it looked as if the support it would offer would not be appropriate for me. Disadvantages: None.

...First the technical stuff, the case is made of plastic, ethylene-vinyl acetate actually, which is a form of soft thermoplastic, including recycled materials, so you could say you are doing your bit for the environment. The outer covering is hardwearing Nylon. The carry case comes complete with a wrist strap, although personally I would not trust it. It has an improved zip, apparently the old one was prone to jamming. The picture Ciao have put up is of the old model, the new one is very similar, just a little more subtle. These cases are a good idea for keeping dust and scratches at bay, however, it may have been a better idea if the case was fitted with belt loops, so you could carry it on your belt, or a strap like binoculars have, rather than risk it slipping out of your pocket, or even leaving it in the car. The pillow pad itself is covered with cotton, is machine washable at 40° and can be tumble dried on a low setting. Depending on where you get it, you can buy a pillow case to go over it (although I didn't do this, as it was easy enough to wash and dry) and these come in either white or denim. It is also quite versatile. If folded it can provide support to your back when in the car or at home. In addition to this, you can use it as a support for your baby once it is born!
