Pineta Park Deluxe

Advantages: Good staff, nice pool area reasonable rooms
Disadvantages: They overbook frequently and may send you to Pineta Park Club, don't go!!

...I am just back from a week at the Pineta Park Deluxe(30/9/07). On arrival at 11pm, after a long flight and bus journey, we signed in to the hotel only to be told we were being change to another "across the road" for one night as there was a technical problem with the room. Bell hop took our cases to Pineta Park Club. This is a dirty hole of a place where the staff are extremely rude. Only reason we managed to sleep was getting as much of the A.I. alcohol down our throats before we went back to the room. I kicked up the following morning and by 11.00 was in the Pineta Park Deluxe. This was much better, the staff are all very friendly and the entertainment team good fun. From what we heard during our stay, it seems it is common practice for the hotel to be overbooked and they dump you to the Pineta Park Club. Only by complaining...

The P Palace

Advantages: value for money
Disadvantages: slightly far out of the city

...I stayed at this hotel for a week last summer. My friend and I were looking for a cheap, but comfortable hotel that would be a good base from which to see Rome. That's exactly what we got from the Pineta Palace. The Pineta Palace is situated in the north west of Rome, has 200 rooms, is about 5km from the city centre, has a restaurant, an indoor bar, an outdoor bar and a business conference centre. For a one night stay, a room costs around 40 euros, but if you're staying for a week there's quite a good discount. Getting There The hotel is about a 25 minute taxi drive from Rome's main airport. We had pre-booked a taxi which cost about 20 euros on the way there. The taxi on the way back at the end of our holiday, however, which we booked from the hotel, ended up setting us back 50 euros, so it's definitely a good idea to book...

Terrible

Advantages: Good Location for shops

...Just Returned From my holiday at the pineta park duluxe hotel. There was 8 of us in total. It was supposed to be a 4 star plus but this rating is not true! it is a 2 star. When you 1st arrive the hotel looks lovely, the outside and reception looks great. We didnt arrive untill 11.00pm at night and after checking in went to get a drink, we had to queue for ages to get a drink! The rooms need updating! 4 of us had suites, the other 4 had normal rooms. Room 1: > the air conditioing did not work, it was boiling all the time! asked day 1 to be fixed, asked again day 3 no one came! > the bathroom door was broken and my friend was stuck in there for 40 minutes! the room was tiny and she was close to fainting, she was only 14 years old. we asked repeating at reception for mantience to help her and no one came, so we had to go...

The restaurant is laid out so that you can see the chefs at work. This is a nice touch but also produces a lot of noise, which combined with the busyness of the place meant that we were having to lean across the table and speak loudly to hear each other. Our starter arrived after about 10 minutes and our food maybe 15-20 minutes later, an ideal wait in my opinion. The Calzone was original and delicious, it's something I've never seen before and now would definitely go back for. The side salad was the same as you'd get anywhere else, except that a nice italian dressing is available.
