Pioneer takes audio to new high !

Advantages: Plays DVD Audio, & everything else, even multiregion !
Disadvantages: Not quite as hot on audio CDs.

..., and the Pioneer offers it very well indeed. This was the first item I bought when I ran through my last major AV upgrade, followed by the Denon amp, and the surround speaker system. SETUP : It was not as simple to install as I thought. For a start, one can only decode DVD Audio in the DVD players itself, not (at the time) in any AV amps. So, this meant getting hold of a 6 way phono to phono cable assembly - a VERY chunky piece of cable ! I could have made one myself, but couldnt be bothered, so good old Salop HiFi came up with the goodies once more. I found a very nice, not too pricey, QED 6 way phono/phono cable, with gold plated phono plugs. I didn't want a very long cable, as the DVD was only 18" away from the amp, but 1m was the shortest I could get, so there is a bit of length left over for expansion if I ever upgrade the HiFi cabinet...

Pioneer, A Truimph In Audio

Advantages: Nicely shaped, Fair Power, Easy To Install!
Disadvantages: Not powerful enough!

A Pioneering Drive

Advantages: Backs up 4.7GB of your important data
Disadvantages: None as yet

.... The Pioneer DVR ? 106 I bought was OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and as such came with nothing more than a two page multi language photo copied instruction leaflet. Installation is straight forward and takes no more than five minutes, simply use a vacant drive bay in the computer tower, and plug in a spare electric cable and the IDE Interface cable. A check must also be made at this time to see how any other drives are configured, this means that if you have another drive and it has its jumper set to ?Master? the new drive must be set to ?Slave?, I do not know the reason for this but bitter experience has shown me in the past that if two drives are set to the same jumper setting all sorts of problems ensue. With all of the cables connected, including an audio cable leading to the sound card, the drive can be screwed into place...

THE MASTER Amplifier

Advantages: PRODUCES NICE AND LOUD SOUND

Advantages: High DVD/CD compatibility after firmware update, it's Pioneer need another reason?
Disadvantages: Before flash update the drive sucks, 4 speed is dated now

Pioneer Double DIN goodness oozes quality and functionality.

...A month or so ago I purchased a new car, MK4 VW Golf 1.9 TDI. Not being brand new, I wanted to make some changes to make it feel more like mine. First thing I noticed was the out-dated sound system in the car. Despite being a 51 reg, it came with a tape deck of all things and a 6-disc CD changer. Ugly, boring and outdated. I wanted something a bit snazzier. I had seen other Golfs with single DIN units, meaning there was a horrible gap in the dash board. Opting for double-din was the only logical choice. Most double din units are expensive and incorporate a DVD player or sat nav of some sort. I wasn't after that, just something to play MP3 CD's and the radio. When i saw this one though, i fell in love. The sexy fascia, blue lights and jam packed features made it a must buy. The pioneer FH-P80BT comes with a number of cool features...

Pioneer DV-600AV quality for good price

Advantages: High quality video, supports many formats

...Pioneer DV-600AV was interesting for me because it has possibility to play DVD-Audio and SACD and it has got integrated decoder with analog output for 5.1. Extra interesting is the quality of sound which some DVD players are having bad quality. Quality of sound was pretty good with nice serve of acustic which i wasnt able to heat on my older players. I/O Back side includes HDMI, component Video, S-video, audio 5.1, scart, optic and koaxial output.On the front panel is placed conector USB 1.1 for USB devices. There should be more conectors, but on the other hand we shall be glad that none of the important connectors is missing. Extern USB devices are not supported as manufacturer has written.
