...Pioneer DEH-30 MP I bought this car stereo around 2 years ago for my car as I wanted something that sounded better than the standard stereo. I bought mine from Motor-mania for around £150.LCD blue screen and reads out what ever it is playing at the time. I think it has really good quality sound even when the volume is on high. It plays any CDs including MP3 and even ones that are slightly scratched play just as well on this CD player. ...First of all I apologise that this is in the wrong category, but I have asked and asked for the correct one to be added to no avail! Since I bought my car in 2000, I have just had a bog standard radio cassette fitted, and either plugged in my portable CD player when I wanted to play CD's. This was not ideal, as it meant the unit was not as stable, and the quality was nowhere near as good. Advantages: Sound quality, 3 pre-outs, MP3 + WMA playback.

...I have had many in-car head units, Sony, Kenwood and various other Pioneer models but this model does everything i need from a head unit. I have had this for about 4 years now, and is frankly head and shoulders above most head units i have had before. You don't now need to spend £200 - £300 on a head unit, and thankfully prices have come down significantly in the last few years and an equivalent model should now set you back about £150. My current set up comprises of Pioneer DEH-P7500MP head unit, Kenwood amp 60 x 2 driving a pair of pioneer 6.5" speakers on rear shelf, an audison amp 220w x 1 driving a 10" Pioneer sealed sub box in the boot and factory fit Ford speakers driven by internal amp (50 x 4) on head unit. Pioneer DEH4000UB Fantastic, a real bargain if you shop around.

Advantages: Impressive for the money, especially through 'Twenga'.

...I bought the Pioneer DEH-4000UB recently as a replacement for the standard radio/cassette in my BMW 3 series. I have never been impressed with the BMW stereo (Phillips), and assumed that perhaps the speakers were as much to blame as the head unit. I toyed with the idea of fitting a CD multi player in the boot, but they can be very expensive. I was playing by Sansa mp3 player through the head unit, using a cassette adapter, and although the Sansa is one of the best mp3 players you can buy, the adapter and head unit itself did not do it justice, so i decided to look for a new CD/radio, that would look good in the dash of my BMW, would have similar colour illumination to the orange on the rest of the dash, but more importantly, would have an input for the mp3 player. Pioneer Bluetooth Car Stereo

Advantages: Excellent bluetooth capabilities
Disadvantages: Remote control not very useful

...Easy to install and use. Excellent sound quality. Easy to use bluetooth connection, which makes using your mobile phone hands free extremely easy. When you receive a call, the stereo automatically adjusts to telephone mode and, if you want it to, answers the call for you. The phone call is then played through your car speaker system. The stereo does come with a remote control, which I found a bit pointless, seeing as the stereo is right in front of you. The text on the remote is very small, so made it very difficult to use when driving! Much easier to use the buttons on the stereo! It is also iPod ready and a seperate connector is available from Pioneer to connect your iPod. ...I bought this unit just over a month ago and wow! Having used ipod in the car before but with only the audio going through the stereo and no stereo control over it this is a godsend to me. I love my music and can't go oanywhere without it. My car is no longer full of Cd's and sounds great. As a headunit it does everything most of you could wish for and then more on top of that. With a good radio tuner that covers my Radio 1 journeys into work in the mornings :-) The Cd is fantastic quality and plays your copies, MP3's, WAV's and WMA's. With original cd's it displays the the cd name and track info if the cd comes with it. With your other types of cd's it displays all your track names and artists as long as they are on the cd.
