Pukka Stuff
Review of Pioneer A-705R by Andyroo007

Advantages: Looks Good, Fantastic Sound even at low volumes
Disadvantages: Remote Control !!!

...I have had this Amplifier for a while now, and it has given me hours of absolutely perfect listening. I have always liked Pioneer, I think that thier build quality is scond to none, if you have ever looked inside a Pioneer product you will know what I mean. This amplifier is great for listening at iethger louad or soft volumes. No one listens to music at 150db all the time So it is important for an amplifier to play well at low volumes. Thje pioneer still manages to give good bass response and very good clarity even at very low levels. I honestly can't fault this piece of equipment.... Read review

Pioneer nice looking but...
Review of Pioneer 32x Slotin SCSI by BonzoBanana

Advantages: It would have been a nice drive if it worked
Disadvantages: support from pioneer uk

...I had this drive and at first I was very pleased with it. It looked the business and was fast. It wasn't long before I realised it was slightly scratching cds with its slot in mechanism and seemed to be a poor reader on a lot of cds about half way in. Also cdrw compatibility was poor. The company I bought it off was Linefeed and their customer service seemed a lot to be desired not particulary friendly and the timescale they said for repairs was at least a month from sending. so I approached Pioneer wanting to send it directly to them for repair (Sending to Linefeed would have meant them waiting until they had a good half a dozen faulty pioneer drives before sending to Pioneer). I spoke to someone there and they were nice and friendly and said I needed to send it to Linefeed first but if there was any problems they would follow it up... Read review

Pioneer CMX-3000 Review
Review of Pioneer CMX3000 CD Player by benaldo3333

Advantages: Same functionality as CDJ-1000 but half the price
Disadvantages: None I have found

...I have owned the Pioneer CMX-3000 for almost two years now. My dilemma was that I wanted CD decks, but couldn't afford to spend £1,400 on a pair of CDJ-1000MKIII but still wanted the build quality and functions of a Pioneer unit. I believe I have found this with this unit. As well as having an auto cue, it has a built in loop function which basically acts as a sampler. Once loop points have been set it can then be saved into the bank memory of the unit, which is another great feature. From my extensive use of the unit, I can honestly say that I have never had any trouble with it, and I recommend it to any dj (being beginner, intermediate, or advanced). I believe that with this unit you are getting as much funtionality and build quality as the CDJ-1000 but at a snip of the price!... Read review

A good player now outdated
Review of Pioneer DV-525 by Mooseman

Advantages: Quality of picture and sound
Disadvantages: CD playback not as good as CD separates

...Ive been looking to replace my PC as a source of DVD playback, and after much searching and demoing, I found the Pioneer DVD 535. I have still not seen any reviews of this machine in the press, however going on the well known quality of the 525 I shelled out £209 and have definately been more than happy. I have seen some forums discuss a noisy platter, but compared with most I demoed it was nice and quiet. Have a look if your in the market for a £200-300 DVD player....you wont be sorry.... My Pioneer DVD player
Review of Pioneer DV 696 AV S by aj1989

Advantages: Slim-line; £115 price tag; multi-region function
Disadvantages: doesnt come with pioneer surround sound system!

...other DVD players and a few combo's, to be honest nowadays they are all much of a muchness however i believe that pioneer are a cut above the rest. I would advise buyers to look into buying pioneer surround speakers (have a look on Amazon) for the total movie effect! Weighing in at 1.7kg this player is not going to cause a problem during installation. It is easy to connect and following the quick-connect guide you will be watching top quality playback in a matter of minutes. You can keep an exisiting VCR player if you wish, however this can make connection possible just ensure you have enough scart plug sockets before making a purchase. A list of compatiable formats cna be found on pioneers website however believe you me nearly all forms of DVD, VCD and CD can be played through this player. It is compatable with MP3, JPEG etc... An Excellent Budget DVD Player
Review of Pioneer DV-355 by abdulawwal

Advantages: Good DVD player with lots of features
Disadvantages: Not very solid build

...I bought the Pioneer DV-355 DVD player after selling my previous one, which was also a Pioneer. Features wise, this DVD player is exactly the same as the Pioneer DV-353-K. It has all functions that you would expect from a DVD player plus more. Firstly the design; It is very slim and very light, with a silver case. The DVD disk tray is in the centre of the player. On the far left is the power button with the eject and play buttons to the immediate right of the disk tray. Below the tray are the stop, pause, skip forwards and skip backwards buttons. An that's all! No other buttons or functions are available on the system face which makes the appearance very clean and sophisticated. To the right of the system is the LCD display which displays all relevant information as to what type of disk is playing, time elapsed, track, currently... Read review

A Great Value For Money Buy.....
Review of Pioneer DV-380-S by shaneday

Advantages: Great Picture, Crystal Clear Sound, Great Range Of Connections
Disadvantages: No Scart Lead Provided

...I decided to buy this DVD player after upgrading to a HD TV and i needed some sort of player which has component output. Having previously owned a Pioneer DV350, that what fantastic, i decided to stick with Pioneer and get their player with the component outputs on the back. This therefore means that the player has progressive scan through component in PAL (and in NTSC) which means you can view DVDs through either display settings at maximum quality. For a start this player is very attractive and is solidly built and the design of it fits in well with surrounding products. The picture quality through component is highly impressive, there is no blurring or fussiness in quick moving images in DVDs such as action movies and the pictures produced are extremely sharp and very strong in colour. The player also lets you edit the picture... Read review

The start of something good.
Review of Pioneer DEHP9300 by peterkinxl5

Advantages: Outstanding sound on CD playback, good display, face-off, loads of facilities.Remote contol
Disadvantages: Average radio reception, some operations buried in sub-menus

...I purchased this head unit back in 2002as part of a major hifi install in my Audi 80 Avant. I had previous experience with the DEH-P9100 head unit installed in my Ford Fiesta Zetec-S which was awesome and would have been purchased again apart from the fact it had been discontinued. So, I popped down to Bass Junkies in Wolverhampton and parted with a cool £525 inc installation for this dream head unit. Despite this being something of a blind buy, after set-up I needn't have worried. It hooked up perfectly to the Kenwood 4" spkrs in the front, Pioneer 5 1/2 " spkrs in the rear and the active bass tube/Cd changer in the boot. CD sound reproduction is excellent and changing the disc is a breeze-just push the change button and you're away. It also benefits from a stunningly clear display which always keeps you informed with just enough info... Read review

The advantage in your car!
Review of Pioneer DEH-P9800BT by marcotheitalian

Advantages: design, sound quality, it's Pioneer, remote control
Disadvantages: price!

...By long time Pioneer is known as one of the greatest and reliable producers of musical equipments and electronics as Tv, speakers, boxes audio, readers, etc. And obviously with this other product it has confirmed its fame. The new Pioneer DEH-P 9800 BT is in fact one of the most competitive car sistem of the market, particularly this model endowed with a power of 200 Watts (in your car it will absolutely be necessary a subwoofer. Bluetooth, device control changes cd (suggest to install it under the anterior passenger seat), external device for interface iPod, reader CD, 4 channels in exit, reproducing mp3 mwa, OEL dispaly. These are some of the principal characteristics of this car audio that if you will know how to predispose in suitable way it will give you great satisfactions. One of the greatest facilities that I could have found... Read review

Pioneer PDP 436SXE
Review of Pioneer PDP-436 SXE by RaZmataZ13

Advantages: Excellent Picture Quality, Great Sound and a Stunning design
Disadvantages: Only one HDMI slot

...We had our Philips 32" CRT for quite a few years and we decided that we would upgrade to an HDTV. When we were looking around, one TV stuck out from the rest, the Pioneer 436SXE. The picture quality is fantastic, whether you're watching any form of TV programme, DVD's, the quality is brilliant. Especially compared to our old Philips. Sound performance is good too and we're just listening to it through the integrated speakers. On the outside, the TV looks outstounding with a glossy black finish. The only one downside to the TV is that it only has one HDMI slot. This means if you have a Sky HD box and a DVD player that possesses HDMI, you'll have to keep switching between the two. I don't find this a huge problem though as even though it adds to the cost, you can purchase an HDMI adapter to enable to connect both devices. If you want... Read review
