A supurb one off!

...Well i was wondering across a music shop in the middle of nowhere and as usual i went down the world music aisle to see if they had any piping or folk cds and i came across this. Ever since i bought it that day it has never been out of my car cd player. It is a wonderful completion of world class musicians and pipers. The range of instruments from bagpipes to irish pipes to whistles is nice mix and is very easy on the ear. It really is a cd for those who like all kinds of Celtic music from pipe bands to low whistles. Some of the best tracks to be noted are: Quantum Leap - Well from one of the best modern bagpipe composers and players, Chris Armstrong really does get your heart leaping in this track. My wife is a big fan of milky hot chocolate so instead of putting coffee in the machine she uses instant hot chocolate. The acid test for this type of machine is the taste of the drinks produced and whether they stay warm and frothy for a long period of time. Personally I find the coffee produced to be absolutely lovely, rich in body and piping hot. I wouldn't say that the quality is on a par with Starbucks but it reaches the Café Nero level of quality...

...I thought I'd share a venue that has been a favourite of mine for many years. The Crusting Pipe is probably best described as a wine bar rather than a pub as it doesn't serve beer or spirits. Its located in the bottom section of Covent Garden Market and as such is usually quite busy, however the advantage is that its passing trade and people tend to move on so tables are available fairly quickly. The crusting pipe itself is small but there is a large area outside where you can sit at one of the many tables. The inside is dimly lit and very atmospheric, tables have candles, so if you want to hold hands with your loved one and whisper sweet nothings its ideal!! I usually choose to sit outside, I say outside but its under cover so you never get rained on, so you have the advantage of not feeling claustrophobic or choking on smoke but...

...My washing machine had a slight problem - it wet itself. It obviously couldn't help it as it wasn't something that'd ever happened before, so, having a boyf who has no DIY or general 'sort it out' skills whatsoever, I knew this was something I'd have to tackle. After much checking, I found that the soap dispenser looked like the culprit, so I prised this out and cleaned it. Still no joy - whenever the machine filled with water, water would spurt out from under the drawer. I then found that the pipe leading from the dispenser to the machine was clogged with a nice slimey black build up of limescale tablets, washing powder and fabric conditioner. Euck. I tried the traditional remedies of bicarbonate of soda and boiling water but to no avail. I tried those fluffy-covered wire things but that just resulted in me flicking above...
