Piz Buin ''summer sensation'' MAX self tan!

Advantages: No smell! More noticeable colour! Alright price.
Disadvantages: Can be streaky if not careful!

...I bought the Piz Buin ''summer sensation'' MAX self tan from boots for roughly £7 (I bought two as it seemed rather well priced for good quality self-tan) This is the one that comes in the brown box (150ml of self tan). I purchased the MAX version as I am so pale I didn't want a modest change in skin colour, I wanted a glowing tan for going on holiday. This certianly did work!! Although I did get made fun of slightly by my siblings for being a bit too orange at times when I'd over-used the product! It says in the instructions it should last about a week but in my experience I'd say it lasts for about 5 days, getting slightly lighter each day. It takes 2 hours to dry which can be rather anoying (can't wash hands while your drying as this would remove it and need to wash off palms of hands after applying which is tricky in order to...

thankyou piz buin!!

Advantages: no more prickly heat, nice smell and nice texture
Disadvantages: quite expensive-but well worth it

Piz Buin Self Tanning Mousse

Advantages: Really nice brown colour

...I have previously used St Tropez and Clarins self tanners without any problems but found the St Tropez to be very expensive. So I went into Boots yesterday and decided to buy the Piz Buin (which was only £7.99) as I thought it would save me money. Well I exfoliated and moisturised then carefully applied the mousse all over my body. The mousse is a foam texture and seemed to spread quite evenly however due to it being untinted I found it a little hard to see the areas which you have covered. The smell was better than some fake tans and I didn't notice that "biscuit" smell. The smell was more of a toner type smell After applying I then went to bed. Half Fake - Half Natural!

"Get the most out of the sun"

This is one of the products I have used before when in the sun, and Piz Buin being one of my preferred makes, I know I will probably like this. WHAT IT DOES... This offers SPF 10 which is considered low but which I find is fine for my first week or so in the sun. It is UVA/UVB with helioplex which apparently provides photostable broad spectrum protection, whatever that is! It also contains Vitamin E which the information on the back of the bottle tells me will neutralise free radicals which cause premature skin ageing. The lotion is also water and sweat resistant, whcih is a claim most of these kind of products make but one which I am not entirely sure of. PRODUCT AND PACKAGING... Faking it (works for me)

Advantages: lovely sun kissed colour, nice smell, no streaks
Disadvantages: doesn't last as long as it claims

After using Johnson's holiday skin and Nivea gradual tanning lotion, I felt the need to progress to the more hardcode of tanning lotions - yes the ones that last for a while and if you have made a mistake you are left with two options: 1) you end up exfoliating your skin until it is raw to reduce the tan or 2) trying desperately to bleach your skin using Lemon juice and crying when it gets in your eyes! In my search for self tan I was drawn to Piz Buin. I have always considered Piz Buin to be a posh brand of suncare products, I don't know why exactly, but it could be due to their product packaging which stands out compared to all the other products out there and also they are more expensive than most sun products. An alternative to Skin Cancer

...made by Piz Buin and called Jet Bronzer. It comes in a gold/bronze bottle and is in the form of a White liquid. I liken it to very runny sun cream. Reason Why I have chosen this one? WEll, several fold. My Mother in Law swears by Piz Buin products. She has been fake tanning since the early days and knows the ones to use and the ones to avoid. Piz Buin does not turn you that awful Orange colour. Quite the opposite. You will become a Bronze Adonis/Babe. Once applied, you will not see any difference for a few hours. When it does come through, it is a subtle brown colour. So give it chance to work. Don't make the mistake of putting on a second layer. It will look streaky. If you put one layer of Piz on, that should be sufficient. Remember to rub it in well and to keep it away from the absorbant parts of your skin where cracks form...
