...The Samsung PL65 is a simply designed, nice looking camera that boasts 12.2 megapixel's amopng it's high quality features. It has the attraction of a higher end camera but is priced, although not cheap, fairer than other cameras of this quality. However, if you are not interested in the settings and just want to take some holiday snaps or Birthday photos, you can use this eassily too. The camera's smart auto will choose the best settings for you to ensure great pics every time and with the dual image stabilisation, you don't have to worry about pictures coming out blurry because of your hands shaking. These features are really worthwhile and make a big difference when the camera is used by someone who may not be used to taking snaps. There are some other features that can help with problems such as the blink detection and red eye fixer...

Review of Samsung PL50
Advantages: Decent image quality and good build quality. Disadvantages: Too many fumctions that are no more than gimicks.
...As I am sure most of you will now know, I am a professional photographer but as well as taking pictures I also hold photography seminars at my local camera club and over the last few years I have become somewhat of a target for sales persons asking me to try out their latest digital cameras and give talks and written reviews on them.
I figured a couple of years back if I was going to be testing out all these cameras and doing reviews anyway then I may as well be posting them on Ciao and Dooyoo and making some money for charity which as a lot of you will know is what I do now.
The latest camera to be thrust my way to be put through its paces was the Samsung PL60, having had a great experience with a Samsung DSLR recently I was really looking forward to seeing just what they had produced in this point and shoot but it really did not...

Review of Samsung PL60
Advantages: Portable, good picture and sound, very handy to beat boredom Disadvantages: Quite sensitive if moved suddenly
...**What Is It**
The Matsui PL618 is a portable DVD player. It has a LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) 8" screen display. It is used to allow the access of DVD's and CD's to be played at will, without the need of a television.
**Why Get One?**
I asked for one for my Christmas two years ago so I would be able to watch DVD's in the car, in my room and on the plane for when we went to New Zealand. So it would be useful as I would be able to watch my favorite DVD's at will. You might have the same ideas as I found it was great entertainment in the plane as me and my brother did not like the on flight movies so we watched all the Harry Potter movies!
**Packaging**
When I got mine it came in a rectangle shaped box with a white plastic handle on it. It had pictures of it all over the sides and logos of Matsui. It looked very attractive from...

Review of Matsui PL618
Advantages: Good screen and unit size, nice and portable, pretty lightweight when battery isnt used Disadvantages: Had problems with the disc tray opening (has now been fixed), battery pack heavy
...time to charge and doesn't last very long but thats because mine is a second hand model that had been used before, so I wouldn't say thats a disadvantage to this model as my particular unit might well have been used alot in the past and so the battery is probably quite worn down, hence I just use it with the mains adapter now.
Another useful piece of information is that I've discovered you can buy new battery packs for this model through Partmaster online, as they supply Currys and Comet stores I believe and Matsui is one of their makes. They currently cost £33.99 and they also sell replacement remote controls, mains and car power adaptors, as well as earphones and audio/video connection cables. So basically you can buy replacements for everything through that site (Partmaster.co.uk, obviously search for Matsui PL800 for the right parts...

Review of Matsui PL 800
Advantages: Reasonably priced from a reputable manufacturer Disadvantages: LCD picture quality can be poor when viewing from certain angles
...we don't watch a huge amount of television in the bedroom, I didn't lean towards any particular manufacturer as I might have done if I were buying a new main television set for the living room. I was also just looking for a portable TV in the region of a 19 or 20 inch screen. Having checked the local retailers, and compared prices online, the best I could find for our circumstances was a digital LCD made by Orion. To give it it's full name: an Orion TV 19PL110D.
If you've ever bought an LCD or plasma television from Toshiba or Sharp, the chances are it was manufactured by Orion as it happens to be one of the world's largest OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of televisions
We chose this model because out of all the televisions in this size, this particular model had the best overall technical specifications. For instance...

Review of Orion TV-19 PL 110 D
...for this evening.
Panasonic make great television sets. Widescreen TV?s are the new black. Television these days is one of the more indispensable modern day conveniences. Ergo, the Panasonic TX28PL10, a triumph of modern day design and engineering, a veritable beast which will suck the life out of you if you let it.
Boring stuff first, chaps. Here are the best deals I?ve come across in terms of this particular model.
Robertsons - http://www.robertsons-online.co.uk/acatalog/RobertsonsOnline28Widescreen39.html - a snip at 605 notes, including VAT and delivery
Appliance Direct - http://www.appliance-direct.co.uk/details.asp?cat=Television&prid=819 - £599.95, free delivery within 2 working days
Our chums at Comet - http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/768527.html - even more thrilling at £585.99, while they also promise...
Advantages: Enormous in every way Disadvantages: The aspects
...being viewed is a widescreen picture". I remain to be convinced by any of these, but you pays your (considerable) money and you takes your choice. Right, moaning over...
We set out with the intention of getting a 28 inch screen and were already convinced that Panasonic was the best choice, as we've always been extremely impressed by their offering, and it was a relatively straightforward choice to go with the TX-28PL1, despite the testing price tag of £649. Still, deep breath, it is worth the money, and you will never go back to one of those 12 or 16 inchers, which just feel like kiddies' TV's after you've experienced the real thing.
This particular set boasts a refresh rate of 55Hz, which I'm told guarantees a clearer, sharper, more reliable picture, and I've been suitably convinced by that argument, although I think it's more...
